Unknown Baby

Unknown Baby
Prescriber

White room with all the equipment neatly arranged, Faiq wrote a prescription drug for his patients. A beautiful woman with cavities and swollen cheeks.

"Take this medicine, after three days please come again to be revoked."

Proposing a piece of paper, only contains prescription antibiotic drugs to reduce swelling and kill germs lodged in the teeth.

The woman wearing the koyo around the neck accepted the recipe while nodding. His eyes continued to stare at the handsome Faiq.

"Thank you, Doc." The girl moved and was only replied to a nod by the Doctor.

After his patient left, Faiq's head felt throbbing. He was imprisoned while massaging the base of his nose. Then his eyes turned on the wall clock. Lucky to rest soon, the man wished there were no more patients today.

Shortly after the door was knocked, a woman in a white coat entered the room, smiling broadly with her red lips. Then walk closer towards Faiq.

"Want lunch together?" bring him.

"No" answered Faiq.

The man did not want to reply to Sella's view, the woman remained persistent approached and now sat in the patient's seat. Right in front of Faiq.

"I've asked your assistant that there are no more patients. Let's have lunch together."

Still insisting on not returning Sella's views by pretending to look at the patient's records.

"Suddenly I wasn't hungry after seeing you."

Hearing that Sella exhaled heavily, "do you want to get angry?"

This time Faiq looked at Sella sharply and confidently, "until you want to give the patient a note nine months back."

Sella pouted, she seemed to object to the request of her best friend.

"Even if I give it, there's not necessarily the baby's mother. As a doctor I have a conscience to keep my patients secret."

"Then your conscience as a friend to where after seeing a friend who often minjemin you money suffered?" reply Faiq is still trying to corner Sella.

The gynecologist squinted, would not win if arguing with Faiq. The man was very stubborn and his tongue was razor sharp. Able to hurt the self-esteem of the interlocutor.

"No drama, there must be another way without a copy of my patient's record."

Faiq pleaded for the umpteenth time. Although it is unlikely, there is still hope. Even if it was only 1% Faiq would still try.

Once again Sella exhaled heavily, her head throbbing as Faiq kept asking. Not not not not want to give but Sella does not want to violate her code of ethics as a doctor.

"Can't you just accept the situation? After all, the baby has been discarded, even if you return the baby to his biological parents, most likely the baby will be thrown again to the orphanage, and even if the baby was raised by a biological parent who did not want his presence, the baby would only suffer."

As an obstetrician, she met a couple out of wedlock who asked her to have an abortion. If the guess is correct then the baby is one of their babies.

"I just want the truth to be revealed, Cell. If the baby's parents are bad people then I won't return the baby to them. But are you not thinking of seeking justice for that banished baby?

"The innocent baby didn't want to be born and dumped like trash, here I was just looking for awareness for the baby, me and Myesha. Why is it just because the irresponsible actions of the three of us have to suffer?"

The thing that makes Faiq angry is when he thinks the baby's parents are having fun. Those who do but throw responsibility on others. Why give birth if you do not want to care for your baby? Do they think the baby is trash that can be thrown away carelessly? Babies are human! As an adult he will question the parents who have thrown him away.

"For the baby?"

"Yes, for the baby. Do you think this is for myself? Don't you feel sorry when the baby grows up and learns this?"

Hearing that Sella exhaled heavily, her heart wavering by Faiq's words.

"If you don't want to help me it doesn't matter, but please help that innocent baby, Cell." Pinta Faiq with a clear tone.

Sella closed her eyes, her heart completely worried. Pity and principle collide with each other. Return to digest Faiq's words. Then his eyes switched to a wall clock, hitting it after one afternoon.

"Well, I'll give you a copy of my patient records later in the afternoon. I'm gonna go pick up my son first."

Sella stood up, finally she gave up stubbornly Faiq. The man's words still rendered him helpless as usual.
