Villainess Raising Kiddo's

Villainess Raising Kiddo's
Chapter 13

"It's so bad." The neighbor recalled the feeling earlier, and gave a thumbs up to Vera. "No barbecue tastes better than yours. When's your kiosk open? I'll definitely buy it."

"In the near future." Vera is pleased to have her skills recognised. He gave the few remaining skewers of meat to the neighbors, leaving one to himself.

The neighbor refused many times, but was eventually resigned to the spirit of Vera. He picked up a few skewers of meat, gave two pricks to his daughter, then asked Delio who was almost drooling. "Delio want to?"

Delio saliva is produced quickly. He was eager, but instead of accepting the meat, he turned his head towards his mother.

"My tree is for him. You don't have to give it." Vera handed Delio one last skewer of meat. The little guy took it impatiently.

Vera only adds a little spice to Delio meat so it tastes lighter. However, marinated meat tastes fresh even though nothing is added.

Delio's mouth is full of oil. He did not forget to sigh while chewing. "The fish!"

Vera stroked her hair and returned to tidying things up.

Today's task has been completed, the charcoal fire can be extinguished. He found a place two days ago. If there's no problem, he can start selling tomorrow.

Vera heaved a sigh of relief when she thought that she could finally escape the life of unemployment.

Since it was only a skewer of meat, Delio saved by chewing slowly. He bit off a piece of meat then swallowed it after chewing it many times.

Closing the meat skewer to the nose, Delio swallowed saliva when smelling the barbecue scent, then forced himself to look away. He ran towards Vera, then handed over half of the remaining meat to Vera. "Mom, for Mommy."

Kids are always messy when eating. The remaining flesh contained Delio's saliva. Vera took a quick look at it and then threw away her face. "Mom won't eat, Delio will."

Delio did not expect that anyone would be able to refuse this delicious meal. She swallowed saliva while teasing, "Mother, this is really delicious, you know."

After Vera refused again, Delio happily pulled his hand back and bit off a piece of meat.

Before eating grilled meat, Delio's favorite food is fruit rice. After eating roast meat, the position of fruit rice was shifted.

Following the principle of "delicious food should be eaten every day", when returning home, Delio submitted a request to eat grilled meat again tomorrow to Vera.

He was rejected by his mother.

"Why?!" Delio's eyes widened in disbelief. Mother had clearly bred her every request beforehand.

Vera pressed down on the elevator and said to the little one, "Because if you eat too much, Delio can't grow tall."

He put his hand slightly above the little man, then scared him. "Delio can only be this high. The other kids will laugh at Delio if Delio comes out."

Delio's eyes widened. He looked at Vera's hand for a moment, then threw away his face and snorted, "Mother is lying!"

"What lie?"

"Abi Ani also eats, but she's tall." The little man pouted then added in annoyance. "Higher than Mom!"

The logic makes sense.

The corner of Vera's lips twitched. She smiled and continued to lie, "That's because Aunt Ani is an adult. It's okay if adults eat."

Delio's confused. "Why?"

"Because adults are already growing tall and can't be tall anymore. When grown up, you can eat it."

After listening to this explanation, Delio's face pouted. He pulled the buttons of his shirt and thought for a long time before he found a gap in his mother's words. "Sir Niny also ate. He's a kid too!"

Niny is a neighbor's son. He was eleven years old and was almost 1.6 meters tall. Delio saw him eating roast meat.

“Kak Niny is a big boy, if you're a kid. So different.” Vera pinched the little guy's face. "When you're as tall as Niny's sister, you can eat."

Delio felt almost the same height as the neighbor's older brother. Hearing Vera's words, he nodded confidently. "I'll be taller than him soon!"

Delio had been worrying about height ever since he had been roaring that he would be taller than the neighbor's older brother.

Vera installed a height gauge at home. Delio will measure it intermittently. When he saw his height was in the same number, even shrinking sometimes, Delio was surprised. He ran to Vera's side, pulled her arm and shouted, "Mother, I'm going low!"

"Not low, but short." Vera was busy poking at the meat while telling Delio about the relationship between atmospheric pressure and height.

"Other times I will measure height in the morning" Delio said after understanding his logic. He climbed up and sat down on the chair next to Vera, looking at her movements while asking, "Will mother make meat?"

"Yes, Mom made meat to make money. Make money to buy Delio toys."

The little one was delighted when he heard the toy, but a moment later the smile on his face disappeared. "Will I come out again?"

Delio remembered that Mother had also said that she would make money, and that she had disappeared all day. Delio was locked in the room, unable to get out and starving. So he was less happy when Vera said he would make money.

Vera did not know the details, so she simply nodded casually while answering "yes".

After which, the boy next to her pouted. "I want to go with Mom."

Vera frowning. Trading on the roadside is not easy. There are many things to do, no time to take care of the child.

He opened his lips about to refuse, but before he said anything, Delio hugged his waist.

"Mom, I want to be with you."

Vera's determination faltered in an instant. Under Delio's plea, Vera finally agrees to take him out.

At 6 p.m., after tidying things up, he set off on an electric tricycle, carrying a table, chairs, materials, and his son.

The tricycle was bought by Vera two days ago. The bike is not small, but there is a lot of luggage. Tables and chairs were tied up on bicycles, looking very dangerous.

Fortunately, Vera's preferred place is close to the complex. He's there in five minutes.

This is a square. Originally it was a sales office plaza. Then, the shops were sold out, the sales offices were dismantled, this place became empty. Half of it became a recreational square, the other half was a night market.

Vera didn't come too early. The booths around are ready, the remaining two places at the end.

He doesn't care either. He told Delio to shut up, then went to drop off the things on the bike.

All goods are lowered from the bicycle, kiosks are established.

It was still early in the morning so the main consumers of the night market had yet to return home from work. All the stall owners around were unemployed. Seeing Vera alone, many people came to help.

With the help of those people, Vera finally set up a small booth. He heaved a sigh of relief, then went to a nearby store to buy some water bottles and some beer boxes for them as a thank you.

The sky was getting darker, people in the night market were getting more and more. The stalls around also started to get crowded. Only Vera's stall was deserted, because first, the location was not good; second, her face was unfamiliar.

Vera is in no hurry. He was ready before. He took advantage of the free time to teach Delio about simple mathematics.

The little guy is very interested in this. He does math with both his small, fat hands. The speed is getting faster.

Their teaching and learning activities did not last long. An hour later, Vera finally welcomed the first wave of guests.

It's 8pm, the most crowded time. Some of those people might not find anywhere else, so they came here.

Due to the first day of setting up the stall, Vera did not bring much stuff. Some guests were noisier, complaining that the options were few, and showing an expression of dislike.

New stalls opened, goods also a little. Those few people did not put much hope into Vera's barbecue flavor. Since they had come, they could not just leave. So, they ordered a little so as not to lose if it is not delicious.

However, their suspicions disappeared when they ate the first bite.

Roast meat looks simple to make, but most roasts are stacked with too much seasoning so that the meat tastes only on the surface, the inner meat is dry.

However, the roast meat of this stall is not like that.

The aroma was equally fragrant, delicious, but the meat was very tender.

A slightly hot roast is put in the mouth. Delicious taste explodes at the tip of the tongue. After being bitten, his flesh easily split into two halves. The soy sauce in it is melted.

It tastes so good!

The visitors ate only one bite. One of them, a bare-chested man with a large gold necklace, exclaimed, "Boss, I want ten skewers of mutton and ten skewers of beef .... Forget it, twenty punches each."
