Soaking up the Pain

Around 9 o'clock Flora just arrived at the apartment. Melani arrived first. When he entered the house, Melani was sitting pensively with a distant look. He was not even aware of Flora's arrival, but his son was already greeting her.

"Mama why?" ask Flora who has joined next to Melani.

Melani quickly wiped away her tears, not wanting Flora to realize that she was crying.

Melani smiled then shook her head.

"Mama is okay. Where's liam?" tanya Melani switched the conversation.

"Liam went home ma, just drove him to the lobby" replied Flora.

Melani nodded her head then smiled.

"You've eaten, haven't you? " ask Melani anyway.

"Have you eaten, Mama?" Flora asked back.

"Have a child, yes it has taken a shower first yes it is already night" said Melani later.

Flora did not answer. He noticed his mother's face that looked like it was crying.

"Mama why?" Flora repeated her question.

"Mama's okay baby" Melani stroked the top of her daughter's head as if to tell her she was fine.

"Why can you tell me, is your job not good today?" ask Flora.

Melani shook her head.

"Everything is fine, dear" Melani replied.

"Mama just missed your dad. Although now she is happy with her new life and forgets us but Mama still can not hate it" without feeling Melani's tears back down. Whatever he tried to erase Emil's name in his heart, but he still could not. Emil had gone too deep into the recesses and his soul.

Flora hugged her mother and they both cried.

"No son, Mama is sure your father is now happy with the woman his parents chose. They're a matching couple" elak Melani.

Flora blurted her embrace. He held his mother's hands tightly.

"When Liam's parents find out about me, they get information about Papa" Flora begins her story.

"Papa thought we were dead" he continued.

Melani remained silent. Believe it or not.

"After hearing the news that Mama and I had died, Papa committed suicide on the day of her wedding" Flora continued.

Melani was shocked. He closed his mouth with both palms.

"Don't tell me your father's dead" Melani is now as excited. He could not accept the news he had just heard.

Flora shook her head.

"Papa koma ma, Liam promised to meet us with Papa. That's why Liam is home now. He's gonna ask his Papa for help so we can meet Papa".

Melani hugged her daughter again. She was crying so much.

"Why does it have to be like this? Hu..hu...hu...." It cannot be described how hurt Melani is right now.

"What's wrong with Mama? Why do they not like Mama that much? To the extent that they could lie to your father by saying that we are dead. And what mom couldn't accept the most was that they dumped you in an orphanage. You are clearly their grandson. Hu...hu...hu.." Melani's heart aches.

For years she had been in pain. Holding anger and revenge in his soul for what Emil's family has done to him.

"If you are poor, Mama has no intention to take their property. But why are they this hard on us?".

Flora has flooded tears like her mother, because of the social status of a grandmother and grandfather who had to throw his own granddaughter.
