Ah Mei continued to complain due to the cold air temperature on the mountain peak. But Long Shan did not bully him at all. After all, Ah Mei was also sitting on her shoulders, not going anywhere.
They went through snowstorms and strong winds. Several times also met the Snow Wolf Tribe and the Ice Bear. They finally reached the cave at the top of the mountain.
The cave was sheltered by snow cliffs so Long Shan needed time to find it. The cave is also quite dry and warm. Ah Mei asked to get down from Long Shan's back and take a walk around the cave.
Suddenly a scream sounded as Long Shan made a bonfire. Ah Mei's small body immediately shrank behind Long Shan's thick coat.
"Monster, there's a monster!" Ah Mei pointed at the dark side of the cave while shivering. Long Shan took out a light stick to illuminate the dark part of the cave. Ah Mei just tailed behind Long Shan out of fear.
In the part of the cave that Ah Mei pointed to was a passageway. The hallway is not too long, but it can make Ah Mei scream if she accidentally steps on a dry twig.
"Don't go inside, please," Ah Mei tugged at the end of Long Shan's robe at the end of the hallway. "Little May, if you are afraid then you can ask to enter the Star Room now," Long Shan tried to persuade Ah Mei to calm down.
Ah Mei did not want to stay still and instead tried to pull Long Shan's hand away from the lips of the passageway. "Let's go, it's too scary!" the little hand of Ah Mei had quite a strong energy.
Long Shan had no other choice but to crouch down and pretend to think. "Well, Little Mei, try to feel some aura around here. Did you find anything?" Long Shan guided Ah Mei researching the aura around them.
Spirit Trees like Ah Mei had strong senses. So easily he found something wrong with the place. "There's a spirit aura here. But that doesn't prove that this place is safe!" Ah Mei still insisted on leaving.
'The spirit of this Tree is a bit troublesome,' Long Shan thought to himself. Long Shan smashed his wand of light and was followed by the scream of Ah Mei who was very afraid of the dark. "Well! This place is too scary for me!"
Long Shan silenced his mouth and carried him into the end of the hall. Ah Mei's energy was completely incomparable to Long Shan's Sky Swordsman power.
Behind the hallway, there was a very ancient forest. The forest was filled with tens of thousands of years old Soul Trees from the aura it emitted.
Ah Mei opened her mouth wide in astonishment. "There are so many Soul Trees here," Ah Mei exclaimed without caring for Long Shan's gesture.
Unexpectedly, they were attacked by the tendrils and leaves of the Tree of Souls. Long Shan moved to protect Ah Mei and fled deeper into the forest.
After feeling safe, Ah Mei lowered her head from behind Long Shan's arm. "Foolishly speaking, did you not know that a clustered Tree of Souls tends to attack objects that are not their members?" Long Shan lowered Ah Mei in a very rude manner.
"I'm sorry, brother! What are we doing here? You're not leaving me, are you? I know I've killed some students but I don't want to be here. Let's get out of here," Ah Mei rolled on the grass while voicing her hypothesis.
Long Shan rolled his eyes again. "I won't leave you here, I will bring them," Long Shan explained flatly.
Hearing she would not be left behind, Ah Mei jumped up happily. "Eh, bring them?" this time it was clear Ah Mei was confused.
Long Shan held Ah Mei's hand towards the inner part of the forest. "This place is a folded space. Unseen by you is the sky very clear even though there is a snowstorm outside? They're guarding something inside here, and it's your job to talk to them" Long Shan explained slightly as he walked.
"Talk? With them? If I don't want to?"
"If you don't want to then I'll leave your house here."
"Eh, don't don't don't. Okay okay, I'll talk to them."
They continued walking into the middle of the Tree of Souls forest. In the middle of the forest was the most sinister part according to Ah Mei, but it was the purpose Long Shan came to this place.
In the middle of the forest was a stone inscription with hieroglyphic letters. In the inscription it says :
Soul Forest
Prison for the greedy,
Where humble people gather,
No one knows the beginning and the end, either,
All that is known is visible
- DiaoFei
"Sister, do you understand these words? And who is DiaoFei? It sounded like she was great," Ah Mei fingered the hieroglyphics as she asked Long Shan.
"DiaoFei is a senior I met in the Star Cave. Coincidentally I got a piece from his memory," an answer came from Long Shan.
Ah Mei circled around the inscription and exclaimed as she found a book-sized hole, "This! Right here! Maybe something you're looking for is here!"
Long Shan watched the stone hole designated by Ah Mei before taking out the Book of the Sky Road from his glabell.
The stone inscription split into two pieces and showed a jade box hidden inside.
Carefully Long Shan picked up and opened the jade box. From the jade box flew a pearl the size of a palm that shone brightly.
The Book of Heaven's Path reacted with a small tremble before the two objects fused together and caused a burst of light.
After detonating, the entire Soul Forest entered into the Star Space. The Star Space has also undergone some significant changes. Mountains began to spring up and spiritual energy was also denser.
Under the jade box was a sword complete with a sheath. The sword had a silver hilt that perfectly matched its black sheath.
When ejected, the sword carried an extremely powerful concentrated aura. Long Shan wanted to call it an heirloom object, but the sword had no spirit so it could only be classified as a high-level weapon. So Long Shan only gave him the name Star Sword.
When she finished trying her new sword, Ah Mei came along with some Spirit Trees. They bowed respectfully to Long Shan because Long Shan had automatically become the Lord of the Soul Forest after pulling the Soul Pearl and Star Sword planted by DiaoFei in the stone inscription.
Long Shan nodded in response to their attitude before exiting the Star Room, leaving Ah Mei to play with her fellow countrymen.
Now Long Shan passed through the road that he passed earlier to return back to the Thousand Sword Mountain.
