Match after match has been going on. Many immediately admitted defeat when met with a strong opponent. They will have a few games in a day, so if they get injured in a game, chances are they will lose their whole game that day.
But there are also those who challenge themselves to fight their opponents. Some were successful, but not a few were injured and could barely bring out their full abilities again without treatment for half to a year. For the warriors, losing a year meant a decline in their abilities.
"Chu Lian of the Martial Family Phoenix Sect Thousand Sword Mountain against Hong Yi Family Red Martial Divine Spear Sect."
When it was Chu Lian's turn, the opponent was Hong Yi. They were both Young Misses from the Martial Family, which meant that they received almost equal treatment from their clans and sects. Their talent is no worse than the others. The outcome of this match is difficult to ascertain.
"Chu Yun, your son's luck is bad enough. Hong Yi was known as the Spear Edge of Heaven, even several generations of seniors were submissive under his spear play," Liu Cheng commented on the match that was about to take place.
"Don't underestimate the swordplay of the Chu Clan, Liu Cheng. What if Hong Yi was the golden child of the Divine Spear Sect? Lian'er was able to break all of his attacks with a beautiful swordplay," Chu Yun was extremely confident in Chu Lian's abilities.
"Stop arguing, both of you. Look at the arena, Hong Yi was preparing to launch the first attack," Xiao Yun returned the focus of the two.
On the battle platform, Hong Yi had crossed his spear towards Chu Lian. The wind gathered at the end of his spear and formed a dome. His black hair fluttered, giving the perception that he was a war general descending from the sky.
"Sorry for the offense!"
Instead, Chu Lian was still very calm. Both of his hands clasped tightly onto the pair of swords that had been removed from the scabbard.
When Hong Yi's spear arrived before him, Chu Lian immediately broke the momentum of her attack. This continued for another hundred moves.
Others only saw Chu Lian dodging Hong Yi's steps with a hair-wide gap, the slightest mistake would be fatal. But Hong Yi felt the gap was more than that. Despite having exchanged a hundred moves, he had not even been able to touch the tip of Chu Lian's clothes. Obviously it was very frustrating.
As Hong Yi took a step back to catch his breath, Chu Lian immediately saw an opportunity to strike back.
"This is the time, Kejora in Bright Dusk!"
Taking advantage of Hong Yi's position, Chu Lian released a surprise attack. Stars were seen twinkling around Chu Lian as she swung her sword. The stars formed a stream and directly shot towards Hong Yi.
Hong Yi did not even have a chance to react as the tip of the sword scratched the skin of his neck. "You lost," Chu Lian smiled cheerfully at him as if they were just playing a simple game.
Holding his sore neck, Hong Yi smiled wryly, "I'm less trained and too satisfied with the name of Heaven's Spear Edge. But Chu Lian, one day I will become the Spear of Heaven and defeat you in one move like you did today."
Scientifically, Chu Lian and Hong Yi were rivals. Hong Yi's words clearly made Chu Lian amused. "The question is when did you become that heavenly spear," Chu Lian giggled as sheathed her sword.
"Miss Lian dropped Miss Hong with one move! It's history!"
"Do you see the sword? I've never seen a sword that fast before."
Discussions broke out among the spectators. This was the beginning of the birth of the Star Fairy, Chu Lian, who raised her head high and looked down on the world.
After the match of Chu Lian and Hong Yi, the few matches after him immediately lost their appeal.
"His diving match, Chu Xiyu of the Martial Family of the Phoenix Sect of the Thousand Swords Mountain against Chou HouMeng of the Twelve Swords Sect."
"Miss Chu Xiyu, I hope you can give some valuable experience," Chou HouMeng respectfully said. Chu Xiyu retorted by pulling out both of her swords and putting up a ready-to-fight position, "By pleasure."
The Twelve Swords Sect was a neutral middle sect. Despite that the overall strength of the Twelve Swords Sect was only under the Thousand Swords Mountain.
Chou HouMeng wore a short red robe, showing off his leg. His long hair was braided with colorful beaded ornaments. Chou HouMeng represented the appearance of an innocent girl his age. But behind his innocent appearance, Chuou HouMeng had a deadly swordplay.
"Twelve Shadow Swords!"
The Twelve Shadow Swords was a simple version of the Twelve Sword Attacks. This technique was created by the founder of the Twelve Swords Sect. When released, the Twelve Shadow Swords would form twelve sword Qi which rotated around the user.
The twelve sword Qi would continue to spin thus creating the illusion of thousands of swords. As the opponent was in confusion guessing where the real sword was, the twelve sword Qi would attack the opponent silently.
"Hmph, old tricks. The Morning's Morning's Rise!"
Chu Xiyu's sword glowed. The light is not as scorching as the sun or as gloomy as the moon, but as bright as Venus that appears before sunrise.
Chu Xiyu pointed his sword in twelve directions. The sound of metal colliding sounded twelve times. At the twelfth clinkling, the entire illusion of thousands of sword Qi shattered.
A trace of blood leaked at the corner of Chou HouMeng's lips as a result of the backlash from his broken sword technique. His eyes widened in disbelief. Even if his opponent could block the Twelve Shadow Sword, he would still have to be quite injured. It was Chu Xiyu who first blocked it in full.
Before Chou HouMeng could react to anything, Chu Xiyu's figure suddenly blurred and disappeared from his attention. "Where?!" Chou HouMeng involuntarily panicked and opened a gap.
A gust of wind came from the direction of nine o'clock. Chou HouMeng could only raise his sword for a moment before a cold metal rod touched his neck.
"Supervousness," Chu Xiyu smiled widely to the point of not being able to open her eyes. While Chou HouMeng was very surprised until he finally realized his defeat.
"It's not a chess game," Chou HouMeng pouted heavily as he drew his sword. Chu Xiyu also drew her sword, "Yes, I know. But those words fit perfectly into this momentum."
Whether intentionally or not, Chu Xiyu's words managed to add a single twitch on Chou HouMeng's pretty face.
"Haha, the Martial Phoenix Family is extremely blessed this time around," Chu Yun praised himself on one of the platforms.
Liu Cheng chose not to respond to Chu Yun and continued to put his attention on the battle platform. Xiao Yun smiled with admiration.
