In the morning, Romeo had to be faced with a very stifling sight. Rere, the woman sat on the gazebo while bending her two bent knees. His shoulders were shaking, his cheeks wet and every now and then, his wiggly finger was seen wiping away the clear grains that continued to flow out from the corner of his eye.
Seeing Romeo walk up to him, Rere hurriedly lowered his legs and wiped away the remaining tears that were still wetting his cheeks.
The house was in a quiet condition at this time, both of Rere's parents had already left for work.
Romeo sat next to Rere, leaving a few inches between them.
"You know, all night I searched all over the market place but I didn't meet. It's very difficult to find the stock, or maybe it's not sold where?"
"What?" rere asked while looking at Romeo. What a hard thing to find.
Romeo wiped away the remaining tears on Rere's cheek. "This?" He showed her a wet finger. "Nobody sells tears. So don't waste this precious thing in vain."
Instead of obeying the word Romeo, Rere's cry broke. The gloomy mood, made him very sensitive. And for some reason, Romeo's words just make him want to cry.
"May I know what makes you cry?"
Rere just kept quiet, not not wanting to tell, but it felt inappropriate. It is inappropriate for a wife to say that she is crying because she misses another man.
In that silence, Rere's phone lying on the gazebo rang. The lighted screen shows a photo of Rere with Haikal. Realizing that Romeo's gaze is on his phone, Rere quickly picks up and answers a call from his mother.
Jia just wanted to convey if today she and her husband would come home late. They must go to the home of a grieving friend. After saying that, the phone connection was switched off.
"I'll change the wallpaper." Rere's not feeling good.
"No need if it's because of me." Romeo took the phone and placed it in the middle of the two of them. "I know to forget someone who was once very valuable in our lives is not easy. I won't force you, slow down. I don't want you to cry all day long for Haikal whose picture you can't see on a cell phone anymore."
Rere laughed while shedding tears. "Am I that sad?"
"No. Juliet would die for Romeo. If you're just crying for Haikal, it's not too sad."
Rere laughed hearing that. Maybe if there was no Romeo, he would cry for Haikal all day. Letting her eyes swell in order to vent the chest-stifling longing. The presence of Romeo can make him momentarily forget Haikal.
"It's lucky Haikal can be loved by a woman like you." Although he had known that from the beginning, Romeo felt a different feeling when he said it, his heart ached. What does this mean, he already loves Rere?
"Haikal's a good man, just like you. I'm sure there are a lot of women who can easily love a man like you. Miss Risa must be so proud to have a child like you."
It may be true for Haikal, but I'm not. I'm not as good as Haikal, not as good as you think. If only you knew what I'd done to you, you'd probably hate me so much Re.
"Tomorrow I'm going to Japan, what if today, we check the contents."
Rere rubbed his stomach while bitterly smiling. Romeo could have thought of checking the contents when he himself didn't care about it.
"It seems unnecessary. This fetus is so strong, he must be fine. Even after I hit my stomach and cramped, he was still fine. Maybe it was a demonic fetus this strong."
"But right, I arrived pregnant without knowing who did it. This fetus arrives there just like that, what is its name if not a magical fetus aka a demonic fetus."
Romeo took a rough breath while scooping his face with both palms. Can't accept his son being said to be a son of the devil, but he can't do anything about it.
Romeo drew Rere's hand and held him on his lap. "I know you don't want that fetus. But that fetus is growing inside of you. You can hate that son of a bitch, but not that fetus. After all, he's your flesh and blood, he's got a bond with you. A very close bond, which is mother and son."
Again, Romeo made Rere shed tears. Rere knew the fetus was innocent. But his existence, made him hate. Makes him feel dirty. And what angered him the most, his future fell apart due to his presence.
"We're doctors?" Romeo again persuaded, and finally Rere nodded.
.
.
.
Romeo tried to hold back tears when he saw his son on the screen. But he can't show it too much because he doesn't want Rere to be suspicious.
"The baby's healthy, he's 10 weeks old."
Rere stared at the monitor screen. There is guilt in him. Fetus that small, repeatedly he hurt. Lucky things are fine.
"My wife often has morning sickness, can be given medication to reduce her nausea."
"Of course sir, I'll give you."
Rere looked at his hand that had been held by Romeo. How could a man she just met be as good and as caring as this man to her. And more surprisingly, can accept illegitimate children in the womb. It is hard to accept logic.
When he was about to get out of the hospital, Romeo suddenly realized that his phone was not there. As he remembered, the phone he had put on the doctor's desk.
"Looks like my phone left behind, just wait there for a second." Romeo pointed to the waiting chair that was lobbied. As soon as Rere nodded, Romeo rushed back to the doctor's room. Hopefully stored by the doctor, not treated by other patients.
Rere was curious about the results of the print out ultrasound that was in the bag of friction along with drugs and vitamins. He picked it up, watching it as he walked towards the waiting chair.
"Aww.." Suddenly someone accidentally nudged Rere's shoulder until the results of the print out of the money in his hand fell.
"Sorry." Said the man who hit him while helping to get the print.
"In_" The man's words yawned in the air as he learned who he had hit.
"Get."
