Wild Roses For Luqman

Wild Roses For Luqman
25. Compliments of Luqman

Now Luqman and Farida are on their way to Farida's house. The two seemed to be silent on the way.

The girl stayed outside. But in his heart, he was boisterously talking about the man who was driving him home.

Undeniably, his first meeting with Luqman was so imprinted in his head room. Because the young man was so handsome, intelligent and full of authority.

Farida feels right with him, because both understand religion. Moreover, during the twenty-four years he lived, there had never been a man capable of shaking his heart, except Luqman. So that he felt that the man was a soul mate sent by God, for him.

In contrast to Farida, Luqman was indeed silent in his mouth. But his mind was concentrating on watching the afternoon street that seemed to be stuck, so he could only be patient.

"Mas." unable to stand the silence, Farida ventured to open the conversation.

"Yes. What's the matter, Farida?"

"Em, have you known my father for a long time, and been familiar with him?"

Luqman turned his head for a moment towards Farida, then nodded his head with a faint smile.

"Of course we are familiar, because we have known each other for a long time and often work together. What's the matter, Farida?"

"Nothing, my mom. Just a little wonder. My dad is very selective and not sociable. Why are you so familiar with you. There may be something interesting in you."

Luqman chuckled small.

"What's so interesting? I am just as you see me now. Is there anything interesting?"

"My initial assessment, you are a good young man. Become a famous ustadz and in the gandrungi many people. Me included. Because you're so good at delivering lectures."

Again, Luqman chuckled at Farida's explanation.

"Please, don't praise me like that. I'm actually in the training stage too."

"Oh yeah. Then can I practice with you? I'm still in the learning stage."

Luqman turned his head to the side, trying to see honesty or joking from the look in the eyes of the beautiful girl beside him.

"Are you not a foreign graduate. Certainly smarter than me, who's just a high school graduate in this country."

Farida's face immediately flushed red, as her intention to approach Luqman in that way was unsuccessful, due to a mispronunciation.

As for Luqman, the man had indeed only finished High School. But thanks to his persistence in learning, it did not take long he was able to master business and religion.

After minutes of being stuck in traffic, Luqman and Farida finally arrived at Farida's residence. Both of them got out of the car.

Just as the two of them set foot on the terrace floor, the main door of the house was already open.

Mr. Burhan was already standing in the doorway, smiling, to welcome Luqman.

"Thank you, sir. At his invitation." replied Luqman with a smile.

"I've been wanting to invite you for a long time, but I've always forgotten"

"It's okay, sir. I understand, because you must be very busy."

"Yes, let's go in. It's not good to keep talking outside." Mr. Burhan moved his right hand to please, while his left hand to encourage Luqman to follow his invitation immediately.

Farida smilingly walked behind papa and Luqman. Both of them looked like familiar sons-in-law and in-laws.

'Lord, may I ask? May this relationship continue in an even more serious direction.' Inner Farida.

"Please, sit down first." Mr. Burhan invited Luqman, to sit in the living room.

"Pa, Farida came to the room first. Take a shower."

"Oh, yeah. Before you shower, please make a drink for son Luqman first. What do you want to drink, Luqman?" mr. Burhan's view went from Farida to Luqman.

"Drink anything, sir."

"Hem, okay. Farida makes the best drink for Luqman."

"Good, pa." Farida nodded her head, then walked towards the kitchen.

The girl opened the nightstand and refrigerator to find a drink that would fit for her special guests.

When he saw the date, an idea came to his head. He also gave a thin smile.

Not long after, he finished making a drink, and took it to the living room.

"Please have a drink" said the girl, putting a glass on the table.

"Hem, you always make your favorite drink, Farida." murmured Mr. Burhan, but the girl only had a faint smile.

"Ayonak, get a drink first. You must be thirsty, after a long trip and stuck."

"Thank you, sir." Luqman smiled faintly, then grabbed the glass that was in front of him.

"How does it feel?" mr. Burhan asked, after Luqman had sipped his drink.

"Sweet taste, it's so good."

"Farida really likes to make date milk. If the weather is hot as it is now, plus ice is much more delicious and refreshing."

"Oh yeah. So this is what makes Farida her own? It feels like the one on sale. But I think it's better this one. Because it feels fresher" said Luqman, who made Farida smile again.
