Wild Roses For Luqman

Wild Roses For Luqman
60. A development

"But pa, you haven't seen..."

"Ma, enough! There's someone else near us."

"Sorry sir, Mom, it seems that my arrival here is not right. The point is I want to apologize, because it has made my father and mother become like this. Therefore, I will bear all the costs."

Luqman got up from his seat intending to leave, because feeling bad, his presence had disturbed the couple before him.

"Yes, please. Thank you for taking responsibility for us. And please, be careful driving the car. Because it can cause others to suffer. If it's just a minor injury, it might still be okay. But what if it resulted in the death of the victim?"

"Yes sir. In the future I will be more careful. Thanks for being reminded."

Luqman got up and walked towards the Rose gurney, which was only at the limit of the curtain. The man sat down next to the girl and looked at her face.

"Luqman, did they scold you?"

"No, ma. They're very nice. I'm grateful, they still have high empathy."

"Thank God, I'm glad to hear that." Mama Firda breathed a deep breath, while letting out a faint smile. While Luqman's view, focused again on the Rose.

"Roses, why don't you open your eyes. Are you mad at me?" Luqman whispered to his housekeeper, then dropped his head beside him.

Mama Firda who was smiling thinly, again sad because she saw her son who was at his lowest point.

"Luqman, don't talk like that. Mama was sad to hear it. Come on, we're always praying for the common good."

Mama Firda rubbed the head of her only son with gentleness.

Mama Firda was relieved, seeing her son could momentarily rest his body and mind.

Meanwhile in a side place, the couple was still involved in a dispute. Not without reason that they both behave like that.

Each one maintained his or her beliefs that felt most right. Until finally the husband who could not bear to see the wife grieving, then hugged her.

"I'm sorry papa, ma. Papa just doesn't want to see mom back disappointed, knowing the real facts. Mama reminded me, so many we put great hope, when we get a news. But what's the outcome? None of that news is true." Gently the man rubbed his wife's back which seemed to shake, as it began to sob.

"Regardless of it all, did mom get to see the girl. Kasian pa, he looks like he's hurt bad." The wife broke down her arms and looked at her husband. The man let out a long sigh, then shook his head.

"Just as for mom." A sentence that came out of his lips. Because he was overwhelmed to stop his wife's action to find his daughter who had disappeared, decades ago.

"Thank you, pa." A smile on his wife's face. Her husband could only nod his head while smiling faintly.

Time has shown the dawn. Mama Firda walked towards the bathroom to fetch some ablution water. Praying beside the rose. While Luqman was still soundly asleep near the girl's arm.

A good development is happening. Slowly the Rose's eyeball moved, as if it was about to open. His fingers slowly started moving.

"It hurts.." the girl sighed softly, and Luqman had yet to notice.

The Rose's hand continued to move slowly, until it unconsciously rubbed Luqman's head. The man was getting more comfortable with the swab, because he thought that the one who rubbed his head, was his mother.
