That night, inside the secret Abyssian laboratory hidden inside a neglected old building on the outskirts of Jakarta, the atmosphere was filled with tension and anticipation. On the cold, hard chair, a man named Marcelus sat bound, his gaze blank, and his body tensed in uncertainty.
...----------------...
Marcelus comes from a dark past. His name used to be respected in the military, an accomplished soldier who had faced the horrors of war, completed difficult tasks, and dedicated his life to protecting his country. However, as time went on, the war damaged his soul and mind, leaving behind invisible wounds that slowly ripped him away.
His past began as a young man full of life. Marcelus grew up in a happy family in a small village in the interior of Indonesia. His father was a tenacious farmer, while his mother was a gentle and loving figure. Marcelus had a younger sister who became his happiness, and he dreamed of a bright future.
Marcelus' childhood was tinged with fond memories of playing in rice fields, diving in nearby rivers, and listening to his father's stories under the stars. At that moment, his world was a small world full of love and hope. He grows up to be a strong and feisty young man, dreaming of transcending the boundaries of his village and providing a better future for his family.
But fate has other plans. When conflict broke out in his territory, Marcelus felt the call of duty to protect his homeland. He enlisted in the military and underwent rigorous training. War changes him deeply, tearing his naivety apart and replacing him with unforgettable fears, disappointments and traumas.
When he finally returns to his village, he discovers that his village has become a ruin and his family is gone. The darkness of war had robbed him of everything he had ever known. Marcelus was disappointed in his country failing to protect its people and then feeling empty, slumped in confusion.
That was when he first met Viper. Viper is a secret agent sent by the Abyssians in search of individuals who have the potential to become their weapons. He sees in Marcelus the potential to be a very powerful tool in the Abyssian evil plan. Marcelus no longer trusted his country and felt empty. That makes him the perfect target for Viper.
As Marcelus wanders aimlessly, feeling estranged and confused, he is suddenly approached by a mysterious woman. His black hair was dangling like silk, and his eyes had an attractive luster. However, what was most striking was the aura of power and authority emanating from it. That was Marcelus' first meeting with Viper.
...----------------...
Marcelus stood in the middle of the night near an old tombstone in the cemetery of his ruined village. The night wind whispered softly, reminding him of the memories of the past that were once so happy. Under the moonlight, he looked at the tombstone that was already almost covered by an unkempt shrub.
"My family, I'm sorry" she whispered with teary eyes. The beautiful childhood memories rippled back into his mind. He recalled his father's smile, the happiness they felt while playing in the rice fields, and the laughter of his younger sister. All of that has been lost in the terrible storm of war.
But what grieved her the most was when she realized that she was all that was left. Her father, mother, and sister are gone. They were the victims of endless war, and he felt guilty for not being able to protect them.
In the silence of the night, Marcelus felt something unusual. A black shadow appeared in front of him, as if it was born from the darkness itself. It was Viper, the figure who once offered him a way out of his despair.
"Marcelus," whispered Viper with a delicate voice that crept into his ear. "You remember the first time we met here?"
Marcelus nodded, his eyes fixed on Viper's figure. "You're the only one who knows the destruction I've been through. You're offering me something that can give me strength."
Marcelus felt his emotions flaring up. He wants revenge on those who destroyed his family, on the war itself, and on his country that failed to protect its people. But there was uncertainty in his heart. "What should I do?"
Viper smiled sincerely, but her smile was filled with darkness. "Follow me, Marcelus, and I will give you unlimited power. We're gonna change the world as we want."
Marcelus' dark past and deep wounds played a big part in his decision to follow Viper. He felt that this was the only way to regain the power and justice that had been deprived of him.
...----------------...
A few months later, Marcelus is found in the Abyssian secret laboratory, tying on an inhumane chair. He is the subject of a Viper experiment designed to produce powerful new weapons in the Abyssian plan to eliminate Wirapati, Bima.
Viper and Marco, powerful fighters who are also the result of Abyssian experiments, stand in front of the bound Marcelus. Viper looked at him with a cold expression, while Marco waited with anticipation. Marcelus felt a great change in him, his body which was now harder than iron and a soul that was arguing with the possible power he could have.
"Marcelus," said Viper in a sharp voice, "you will become the new Abyssian weapon. With the power we give you, you'll be the only one who can face Wirapati."
Marcelus nodded, despite the confusion and doubt in his eyes. He felt like he had sold his own soul and dignity to an evil force, but the obsession for revenge and the power he had achieved was too strong to ignore.
Viper holds a syringe that contains a serum that will transform Marcelus' body. "Be aware, Marcelus, that this is a time of irreversible change. This power will remove the human limitations that exist on you. Be prepared."
With a blinding syringe, Viper thrust the serum into Marcelus' body. An excruciating pain struck Marcelus. His body felt like it was burning in soaring blue flames. He felt his cells change, turning himself into something that was no longer human.
In the deep darkness, he felt a power coursing through him. His skin was shiny like metal, and he could sense his new ability immediately. There were no more physical restrictions, he could turn his body into invincible iron.
However, other than that strength, there was also something terrifying that he felt. A feeling that a part of itself has been lost in this process. When he looked into the mirror in the lab filled with smoke and blue light, he felt like he was looking at a face that had long since disappeared.
Viper and Marco looked at the results of their experiments with pleasure. Marcelus is their new creation, a weapon that will be used to eliminate Wirapati. But what they do not know is that in Marcelus, there is an inner war raging. A part of him refuses to be the Abyssian's desired killing tool.
Marcelus is left tied to a laboratory chair, facing a fight within him that is greater than he has ever experienced before. Will he continue to be an Abyssian tool or will he be able to find a way to use his power for true justice? Will Wirapati be back?
