Stephanus' first request

"Mady ...." Keisha eyes glared at her papa.

"Hc .. ha .. ha .... Keisha, this is Dady's only hope. Who knows if Dady's hopes can come true, nobody knows, right?" Stephanus looked back at his daughter with a smile.

While Devano only smiled and did not respond to the remarks of his President who wanted to make him a son-in-law for his daughter, Devano considered it a mere joke.

"Mommy .. we go home first, Keisha has an appointment to see me Tiara" Keisha told her mother. Keisha glanced at his watch which showed it at half-time.

"Keisha doesn't want to continue shopping?" ask Astri Keisha's mother.

"Gak ah ... Moms. I want to afternoon, later my friend will wait," said Keisha lazily, then stood up from his seat and immediately carrying his shopping bag.

"Mahs ... Mama same Keisha go home first well," said Astri moved from his seat. Stephanus nodded slowly.

"Oh yeah ... Devan, aunt invited you to dinner at home. Auntie hope you come well," Astri told Devano. Stephanus, hearing this, immediately smiled as a sign of agreeing with his wife's words.

"Yes, Aunt. Thank you, I'll be happy to come!" answer Devano who has no choice but to agree.

Astri smiles at Devano's reply, and he approaches her husband. "Pah .. see you at home for dinner. Mr. Ridwan, Devano, Lucky! We go home first." Astri kissed her husband's right hand and was followed by Keisha with a still pouting face.

For some reason after hearing the words of his father who wanted to try to match him with Devano, Keisha looked scowled. Stephanus just smiled looking at his daughter's demeanor and rubbed his daughter's head.

After Astri and his daughter Keisha left the dining room, Stephanus continued his chat with Ridwan and Devano. While Lucky who is the assistant of Stephanus just silently listened while enjoying the fruit juice.

"Sir Stephan, sorry at two o'clock I have an appointment to meet with one of the partners who want to cooperate with our company. Please let me leave now" Ridwan gave his boss permission.

"Oh, no problem, Mr. Ridwan. I also returned to the office" said Stephanus. Then his gaze immediately led to Devano. "Devan, you're with me. You don't have any other interests, do you?" stephanus stood up from his seat.

"Oh .. good Sir. I have no other interests either."

"Alright, come!" take Stephanus. The three of them, Stephanus, Devano, and Ridwan, left the dining room. While Lucky had already gone out to the cashier to make the payment.

Long enough they walked down from the fourth floor to the first floor. After arriving at the lobby, Ridwan bailed to the basement of his car park.

Stephanus, Devano and Lucky walk out of the mall building and get into Stephanus' luxury car ready to take them to Arkana Group offices.

While in the car, Devano was unceasingly grateful for being close to his President. But he also felt bad because he was too privileged by his President. Especially when Stephanus' wife invites Devano to dinner together at home.

"Devan, can we stop for a while at the cafe. There's something I want to tell you. I wanted to say it earlier, but it was not good because of Mr. Ridwan's whereabouts," Stephanus asked for approval from Devano.

"Oh, yes sir," Devano replied nervously. "What does Stephan want to say? Are there any more happy surprises?" ask Devano inwardly.

Stephanus and Devano have already chosen one of the seats in the cafe. They both sat facing each other, not forgetting that Stephanus had ordered a drink as their conversation partner. Lucky was waiting for them in the car.

Stephanus took a deep breath as if trying to let go of the burdens in his heart. "Devan, there's something I'd love to talk to you about" Stephanus said.

"Please, Sir."

"Devano frankly right now I feel heavy with the trust that is currently running, probably because many concerns continue to haunt my mind and heart," stephanus said that made Devano try to digest every word by his boss.

"I'm too worried about something that hasn't happened in the future. This is about the company I run. At the moment I am very grateful because the company is growing, but on the other hand I am getting older."

"How long will I live in this world. My successor just stayed Keisha and it seems my daughter was in no mood to jump directly into the company."

"I am very worried about the company when I am not there. I'd love to find someone who can replace me in leading this company, but I haven't found one yet. I'm not just looking for someone who's smart, works fast and so on. But it also has a high spirit of leadership and responsibility" said Stephanus paused for a moment.

"And I see that great potential is you Devan. If you don't mind, I ask you to help me continue my leadership and grow the company. I'm sure you can be my successor" Stephanus said, staring at Devano.

Devano was shocked to hear what his boss said. It never occurred to him to have a position in the company. Devano just thinks he's a professional architect who can produce work. His new position as a supervisory manager had never been thought of by him. How many blessings God has given to Devano.

Devano pretended to cough to cover up his nervousness. "Sir ..if to help advance the company, I will do as I can. But regarding to be the successor of the Father it seems I do not deserve, sir. Working in your company alone, has made me very grateful," said Devano.

Devano feels he does not have much experience and does not have the ability to manage a company. It took Devano a lot of time to learn about it.

"It deserves to be inappropriate, it's someone else judging Devan. You can learn from now on, I'm sure you can. Don't disappoint you who have put my trust in you" Stephanus said, hoping that Devano would be willing to fulfill his request.

Devano scratched his non-itchy head as still now he felt disbelief at Stephanus' request. How can an employee who has not even one year of work, has been entrusted to be a successor in managing and developing a company. That's what Devano thinks.

"Thank you very much for your trust, sir. I'll try to learn and hopefully I don't disappoint you." That was all Devano could say in his confusion whether with this remark he agreed to the request of his President, Stephanus.

"Thank God, I'm glad to hear that. I'm sure you won't let me down" Stephanus said.

"Em ... there is actually one more thing that I ask of you," said Stephanus smiling sumringah. "But this request I will not force you. If you disagree, I will respect your decision" said Stephanus, who sighed and stared at Devano for a moment.

"What else did Stephan ask for?" inner Devano who frowned and tried to pay attention to every word that came out of the mouth of his President.
