Stephanus's Concerns

The next day, Stephanus informs Devano that he is in the hospital to accompany Astri to his treated wife. Stephanus asks Devano to come to the hospital. Devano who was on his way to his office immediately turned towards the hospital where his President was located.

Last night Stephanus had asked his men to look for the whereabouts of his daughter Keisha. But until now there has been no results, Stephanus himself has several times contacted Keisha number but is not active.

While Lucky, his confidant, who is always on the count is in Banten because it is asked Stephanus to complete some work there.

The one who is currently with Stephanus in the hospital is Ridwan. Last night, Ridwan immediately got word that his boss was in the hospital because his wife was in a critical condition. So, since last night Ridwan accompanied his boss in the hospital.

Astri is currently being treated in the CICU room (Special room for intensive care of patients with heart disease). Astri has also had an operation to overcome the blockage in his heart blood vessels.

About twenty minutes, Devano arrived at the hospital and went straight to the CICU room where his wife was treated. Upon arriving, Devano saw Stephanus and Ridwan sitting in the patient's waiting room chair, then Devano immediately approached the two superiors.

Devano greeted Stephanus and Ridwan. "How's Aunt Astri doing, sir?" devano asked Stephanus.

"He's still unconscious, Devan, but his critical period doctor says it's over. Three hours ago, the operation had just finished" replied Stephanus who was trying hard.

Devano did not ask any more, seeing Stephanus' exhausted face. His eyes were so shabby, it seemed like Stephanus had not slept last night just to accompany his wife who was struggling in fighting her illness. Likewise with Ridwan who also looks shabby. Seeing the two men who were no longer young, made Devano feel sorry.

"Sorry, Mr and Mr. Ridwan do not seem to have breakfast yet. How about I get food first for the father," said Devano politely. Devano's guess was right, the two superiors had not eaten at all since last night, just drinking water was just a few sips.

"Hmm ... This child is very considerate, dear my daughter is not interested in him," said Stephanus.

"Thank you Devan, but I'm not hungry. Buy it for Mr. Ridwan only," replied Stephanus who did not taste to eat. His feelings at this time only worried about his wife and also his daughter Keisha who went somewhere.

"I'm sorry before, sir. But you have to eat, do not let your health also decline" said Devano.

Then Ridwan approached Devano and whispered something. "Find some bread and mineral water. If you can, buy some fruit, watermelon or apple," whispered Ridwan who had memorized his boss' breakfast habits. Hearing this, Devano nodded his head.

"Good, sir." Devano hurriedly left Stephanus and Ridwan.

A few minutes later, Devano returned with two plastic bags containing bread, mineral water, and some fruit that he bought at the minimarket of the hospital.

"Eat first sir, the bread mump is still warm" said Devano while giving a box of bread to Stephanus and Ridwan. The aroma of the bread that was still warm was indeed appetizing, to make Stephanus take the bread and put it into his stomach which had been screaming for filling.

Devano sat not far from Stephanus and Ridwan. Then he looked around the patient waiting room, he did not see Keisha the daughter of his President and Lucky who usually always accompanied Stephanus.

"Where are they, did Keisha go to college and Lucky go to the office?" ask Devano inwardly.

After Stephanus finished eating his breakfast, Devano approached him. "Sir if you want to rest first it's okay, let me wait for aunt here. It seems like you haven't slept since last night" said Devano who could not bear to see his boss who looked tired.

"Thank you Devan for the attention, but there's no way I'm leaving my wife Devan" Stephanus smiled. "But if you have anything important in the office, go ahead, I'm fine resting here."

"Oh yeah ... Mr. Ridwan better go home just rest at home, thanks for the time." Stephanus tells Ridwan to go home, because Ridwan did not sleep last night.

"Well, Mr. Stephan, I'm going home. Later in the day I come here again," replied Ridwan, then his gaze was fixed on Devano. "Sir Devan can you accompany Mr Stephan here?" Ridwan.

"It is with great pleasure sir, that I will accompany Mr. Stephan here. The problem of office work can be conditioned," Devano replied as he lowered his head.

"Well Mr. Ridwan, thank you very much" Stephanus replied.

After Ridwan's death, Devano sat beside Stephanus. "Sorry sir, may I ask you a question?"

"Please Devan."

"From this moment I did not see Mr. Lucky and Mr.'s daughter. Did they not accompany you?" asked Devano politely.

"Lucky was in Banten to finish some business there," Stephanus said and then sighed.

"If Keisha ...."

"Whom is the Father?" ask Devano.

"If Keisha had left home yesterday" Stephanus said with sadness. "I don't know where my daughter is now."

Instantly Devano frowned. "I mean Father?"

"Huft .. yesterday Keisha left the house, and it was her departure from the house that also left her mother with a heart attack" Stephanus said, looking ahead blankly.

"Emm... If you may know, does this have anything to do with your plan to match Keisha with me?" devano asked who was immediately nodding his head by Stephanus.

Devano was not too surprised by Keisha's disapproval of this matchmaking. Devano had anticipated that Keisha herself was not ready for this matchmaking. So when giving an answer to Stephanus a few days ago, Devano said that he was willing to marry Keisha with the note Keisha received.

"Sorry sir, has there been any news of the whereabouts of your daughter?" ask Devano.

"I've told some people to look for him but there's no news yet, even some of his close friends have been visited but no one knows. I was very worried about him. Keisha turned off the phone so it couldn't be traced" Stephanus said with a sad face.

Devano was stunned and did not dare to speak to Stephanus. He knew that right now the mood of his President was not fine.

Suddenly a nurse came out of the CICU patient room and asked Stephanus to enter the room because the doctor would explain the development of his wife's condition. Stephanus went inside to see his wife.

"Let's go in, Devan!" take Stephanus.

"Yes, sir."

Stephanus and Devano were already in the patient room. Stephanus escorted Devano to where his wife was lying, while he headed straight to the nurse station where the doctor treating his wife was.

Devano sat in the waiting chair to the right of Astri's bed. Astri looks like he is asleep, with an oxygen mask covering his nose and mouth.

While sitting Devano took time to pray to the Power. She offered prayers for the recovery of her Presdent's wife, who was also her future father-in-law should Keisha accept an arranged marriage with her.
