12. The Cry of the Little Child

In kelvin's place and friends....

A beautiful night with a crescent moon and stars adorning the sky, making the atmosphere quiet without crowds.

I stood on the upper balcony drinking a cup of hot coffee observing the zombies roaming the streets.

Before that I had prayed at dawn and went to the balcony without waking those who were still sleeping, seeing them sleeping made me smile.

There were only a few more days left for all of us to get to the town square, I kept thinking about it by drinking the coffee I brought.

"Our sister, aren't you sleeping?"

The words made me startled and then looked back and it turned out that Kelvin had woken up from his sleep.

"Impact you.. I've been kelvin, it's just I woke up early"

"Oh yes what else has awakened kelvin" I continued with a friendly smile.

"They were getting ready for dawn prayers" replied Kelvin.

"Hm.. I see, then pray first kelvin, I've prayed first"

"Okay, sister kamiya, after this we will prepare to go to the next place"

"Yes" I answered with a smile and drank my coffee.

Kelvin then went down to the first floor and prayed with the others, I went down to the first floor and went to the kitchen to put the cup into the dishwasher.

While Kelvin stuck a nail in his baseball bat so that his stick was like a thorn, then the women prepared supplies and also drugs, rizal and zidan busy making Molotov cocktails with the ingredients.

After everything was finished and ready, we gathered all the supplies and weapons in the living room.

"What do we bring? Try to fit this in the trunk of the car" said zidan with a tired face after lifting his belongings.

"Yes let's check zidan, I hope this will also fit in the trunk of the car"

Kelvin and Zidan checked and counted all of them, while Rizal and I watched the road in front of the house from the door.

"Wait a minute" said I who then stopped the steps of those who intend to come out.

I gave each of the girls a knife blade just in case, and then I gave the shovel rizal while zidan I gave the spear that I assembled with the knife at the end of it just like I carried it, then Kelvin carried his baseball bat full of spikes.

"Rizal bring this, carefully carry it" said Kelvin who put the homemade bombs and Molotov cocktails into the bag, then gave it to the rizal.

"Eehhh why should I??!!" rizal replied with a protest.

"Because you'll be guarding the car, while we're protecting the car from the outside, if pressed to use the Molotov cocktail, use it as best as possible because this is our only weapon" kelvin explained to Rizal.

Rizal just assented with his lazy face and took the bag.

"Ok well you're ready!!" I said firmly.

"Ready!! Kamiya!!" say all at once.

"Then we're off!!" kelvin and zidan said excitedly.

We split into 2 groups, then the fence opened and me, zidan, and kelvin started attacking and protecting the car from the approaching zombies.

Kelvin and Zidan were seen enjoying their fight killing the zombies in front, while I killed the zombies that approached behind the car.

"Alright I won't lose to you"

I quickly stabbed some zombies that were approaching me so quickly that 4 zombies collapsed instantly.

Rizal, annisa, vika, marsha, and okta still put the supplies into the trunk of the car rather quickly. After everything was done in the trunk, the women got into the car and rizal approached me to replace me protecting the car.

"So we're quick to live the car, let me handle them"

"I'll leave the rest to you"

I got in the car and started the car, I started it a few times but I didn't want it to turn on, maybe it broke down and the engine wouldn't turn on.

"Tch..!! At this moment..!!" I said a little annoyed and kept trying to turn it on.

Kelvin, zidan, and rizal are still stopping the zombies from getting close to the car, the women are a bit panicked.

"Sister?! Can't light up yet?? Hurry brother?!" said Vika who was a bit panicked.

The end of the engine was lit and made us a little relieved, without further ado kelvin and rizal ran in the car, he said, then zidan jumped onto the roof of the car and lay on his stomach while holding on to the handle that was on top.

"Next the race time!!!" zidan shouted excitedly.

I just smiled then stepped on the gas and hit some zombies that confronted, then went from there to the next place.

Sfx:Bruuummm!!Braakk!!Ajdukk!!Aarrggh!!!

The car drove fast and hit some zombies in front, zidan looked relaxed just above while lying on his stomach and saw zombies hovering above his pass after being hit by a car.

"Oeeeyy...!! Kamiya brother, turn right after this!!" said zidan who was a bit of a screamer.

"okay!!" timpal kak kamiya short.

The car continued to go and then turned to the right then immediately the car stopped.

"There are so many kelvin zombies in this alley, do we have to party again" said zidan who jumped down from the car.

"Like that, let's help Zidan kamiya. Who drives just for rizal, you can rizal?" my timpal then got out of the car.

"It could be, but t-wait!! Why do I have to drive?!"

"okay!!" say me, zidan and kamiya brother simultaneously.

We started killing the zombies that were blocking the way with our weapons.

I killed some zombies by running with zidan and kamiya brother to clear the road so that it can be passed by a car driven by rizal. I along with zidan and kamiya continued to kill the zombies and rizal drove his car at moderate speed.

Not far from here, I see in front there is a fairly large Kindergarten school whose fence has been broken by zombies.

"Sir kamiya, we're going to kindergarten school up ahead. I'm afraid there's still kids in there" said I who slapped a baseball bat at the head of the zombie in front of me.

"Alright kelvin, I think so too" said kamiya's brother who stabbed and hit the zombies that were blocking him.

"You ready for zidan? Let's do it"

"Of course" timpal zidan brief who dodged the most zombies then hit him hard.

The three of us ran a bit fast while killing the zombies that blocked the line until the end we reached the front gate of the Kindergarten school.

We both entered the Kindergarten school leaving our brother and the rizal protecting the car.

The two of us continued to browse through each of the rooms and all we found were zombie corpses wandering around while we killed one by one.

"I'm sorry, I will free you from suffering" said Zidan who then stuck a spear into the head of a child zombie in front of his forced face.

Sfx:God..!!Cratt...!!Ahkhhrrghh!!!

Not long after that I heard the cry of a little boy but it was so slow that it was barely audible.

"Zidan did you hear anything?" I said I hit a zombie with my baseball bat.

"No, Hyaa!!! What did you hear?" his timpal while killing one zombie by hitting a spear on the head of a zombie that approached the zidan.

"Crying little boy"

"Huhahh.. Are you sure you heard?"

"Of course, I'm sure" I said briefly and immediately ran towards the source of the sound.

"Hey wait for me!!" said zidan who then ran after me while avoiding the zombie.

I ran to find the source of the crying sound with zidan behind me following.

"Don't worry, help is coming soon, hang on!!" I muttered with hope while continuing to run to find the source of the sound.
