The quiet atmosphere of the clinic suddenly became a little boisterous when one of the patients in the ER room was declared missing. The nurse on duty was blamed for being negligent. The nurse reasoned to go to the toilet for a while and when she returned, the patient and his bed had disappeared. The patient was no longer in the waiting room.
Adi heard the excitement that occurred, immediately moved from his seat. Concern re-strewn, imagined in his mind if the figure of Tarji who disappeared from the treatment room. Adi pushing the entrance of the ER room which is actually a type of sliding door. So panicked and angry, Adi still forced open the door until finally a nurse came closer.
"Please remain calm sir" said the nurse berparas ayu.
"My friend is in the ER room. And I heard there was a furore of patients disappearing. I have to check it out" said Adi impatiently.
The nurse shifts the door and allows Adi to enter the ER room. Turns out Tarji was still there with a bandage on his head that had been replaced. The man was seen sleeping soundly.
"Rekan Njengan is in a stable condition sir," said the nurse kalem. Instantly Adi crouched down, the worry in his heart evaporated.
"Thank you Ma'am" Adi said after sighing.
"I'm sorry, I'm a police officer. If I may know, who is the missing patient and make this clinic a scene?" ask Adi full of probes. Curiosity and the desire to help made him unable to resist the questions that came to his mind.
"Actually everything has been conditioned sir. We suspect maybe the deliveryman doesn't have the money to pay. So they ran away. From the clinic has checked the cctv and it is clear, the introduction is the one who took the patient out of the clinic. We do not want to prolong this matter" the nurse explained.
"Oh so. Was the deliveryman the woman sitting next to me earlier? Because I see it looks like he's really in trouble. Cry all the time." Adi stood up from his squat.
"Yes sir, right. Patient named Wildan. And the woman next to the Father was the deliveryman" the nurse replied confirming.
"Wilda?" Adi was shocked.
The nurse only nodded despite seeing Adi's strange-looking expression.
"Can I see the patient's identity record?" adi asked after overcoming her surprise. It could be that Wildan is not Wildan who is being fugitive with the police. Just have a similar name.
"I'm sorry, the identity of the patient can't be shown carelessly sir" the nurse replied.
"Maybe Njengan had heard in the news, be it local TV or print media about the case of the death of the elderly with the suspect a man named Wildan. I need to see the patient data that ran away earlier. Maybe it could just be the same name, but it has become my duty not to miss a single clue even though it comes from a coincidence" explained Adi with a sharp eye.
"I'm sorry, it's good to just talk to the head of the clinic in his room. I have no right to decide, let alone this about the written policy" replied the Nurse, looking down. Adi sighed. Although he is not willing to waste time, but the procedures and rules must still be obeyed.
After discussing with the head of the clinic for a few minutes, Adi finally got permission and access to see the patient's biodata as well as cctv recordings. Adi examines the biodata of the patient named Wildan and matches it with the fugitive biodata he is looking for. The place of birth date is also the exact same population number.
"It's not wrong anymore" murmured Adi holding his chin.
"Sir, for the patient's introduction what's his name? Which one's the biodegrad?" adi asked the nurse sitting next to him.
"It's Sir. Her name is Nilla" replied the nurse kindly.
Adi photographed Nilla's biodata. An address is there. Adi smiled this time. The thread of the case that was initially very tangled this time felt began to decompose with the help of the wheel of fate.
Every thing, good and bad, there is wisdom at the end of it. Adi really believes in that at the moment. Tarji's injuries bring him closer to Wildan and anyone involved in the death of the elderly.
At exactly 9 p.m., Tarji was moved from the ER room to the treatment room. Adi asked for the best room for his best friend. After making sure Tarji was in a stable condition, Adi rushed out of the clinic. He grabbed a motorbike in the parking lot and sped through the freezing night air.
Adi's headed to an address in the next town area. The atmosphere of the streets was quiet even though the night was not too late. Only one or two trucks passed by. Maybe rain and cold air make people reluctant to go out of the house.
It didn't take long. With high speed, only about 15 minutes Adi has arrived at the destination. A house with a spacious yard looks less manicured full of weeds on the front. Two-finger lights glowed dimly on the terrace.
Adi parked his bike across the street. He walked back and forth to the building that looked worn. At a glance everyone will know, the house is no longer inhabited. Adi reached into the cell phone in his pants pocket and saw a photo of a computer screenshot from the clinic earlier. He tried to make sure he didn't get the wrong address.
"It's right here, but the house is empty. Damnit damnit! I thought I was close to solving the case, but it was still like a tangled thread" Adi grumbled.
Adi observed the house in front of him. Nameplate on the wall of the terrace clearly read the name Seruni. Then Adi's gaze was fixed on the garage next to the pitch dark. When Adi approached, a black car was parked there.
The car is locked. Adi peeked through the windowpanes and found nothing strange or suspicious. One thing is for sure, the car looks pretty well maintained. There are several possibilities that arise in Adi's mind. It could be that the car belongs to a neighbor who accidentally left there. Or maybe the homeowner periodically visits the unkempt building.
"Should I wait and spy on this house?" adi's mumbling looked confused.
In the midst of his worries, Adi remembered an important clue. His expression changed and looked excited when he saw the phone in his hand.
Adi just remembered that Nilla had borrowed a cell phone and contacted someone. Adi immediately checked the history of outgoing calls on his cellphone. And sure enough, a number with no name was stored there.
"This number . . .the special number of the police bureau," cried Adi detained. Eleven digits of a unique phone number are visible on the screen. Adi recognized him, now a big clue was in his grasp.
