A Piece of Asa In A Taste

A Piece of Asa In A Taste
Heartbroken

Mr. Louis, Ms. Mirna, Bylla, and Reymond, they sat together in the living room.

Bylla sat next to Miss Mirna with a smile that kept on expanding on her lips. His eyes continued to look at the lover who was sitting in front of him.

"I'm sorry about Opa before, I celebrated Bylla's birthday this late" Reymond said.

"Yes, it's okay, the important thing is now that Bylla's home." Answer Mr. Louis.

"Actually I'm here also to talk about important things with Opa and Oma. I proposed to Bylla, I'm here to ask for the blessing of Opa and Oma. Next month my parents are home, I will bring them here. I want to marry Bylla soon, Opa." Reymond said firmly. It was obvious, if he was really serious about his words.

"We bless your relationship, and about marriage, that's a very good thing. You are both adults, and have been in a relationship long enough, it is better if this relationship is immediately taken to the underwriting." Said Mr. Louis.

"I'm glad to hear your good intentions, son. We, Bylla's family are very much waiting for your parents to come. May what you have planned, be given smoothness and ease by God" said Ms. Mirna with a smile.

"Hopefully this could make Bylla happy. I pity to see Bylla who feels distinguished by her parents, but I also can't blame Ella nor Kairi. They are also in a difficult position." Inner Bu Mirna in his heart.

"I am very grateful for the blessing that Oma and Opa have given. I am very happy to hear it" Reymond said with a smile.

"Mmmm then, excuse me Oma, Opa. It was late enough, I went home. Sorry for interrupting your rest" Reymond continued as he moved from his seat.

"No need to apologize, you're not interrupting. Mmm thank you, for choosing Bylla as your future wife" said Ms Mirna.

"Please don't let us down, son!" sahut Mr. Louis.

"No going to Opa. I love Bylla so much, being able to have her is a fortune to me. Yes, I say yes Opa, Oma," Reymond replied as he greeted Mr. Louis, and Ms. Mirna.

"Yes, careful!"

"Bylla, I go home first yes," Reymond said, staring at Bylla.

"Yes, thank you Rey."

"Yes." Yeah."

Reymond began to step foot, leaving the living room. As for Bylla, he led her to the doorway.

"Be careful Rey, let me know when you get home!" bylla.

"Dear, but you don't have to wait for a message from me. Get some sleep, it's late, yeah!" reymond said as he rubbed the top of Bylla's head.

"Yes" replied Bylla, nodding.

"I love you Bylla."

"I love you too Rey."

Reymond stepped into his car, and hurried away from the lover's house. Bylla kept staring at him until Reymond's car disappeared around the corner.

Then Bylla stepped inside her house, apparently her grandparents were still talking on the living room sofa.

"Geez!" call Bylla and sit next to Miss Mirna.

"Why? How come his face was bent like that?" asked Mirna in surprise. A few minutes ago he looked happy, but now his face looked sour, what's wrong with him?

"If I get married, Mama and Papa don't come home?" murmured Bylla slowly.

As if there was a sharp object that stabbed right in the heart of Bu Mirna. He was very ill at hearing his grandson's question. Kairi must be present at Bylla's wedding, as she is her guardian. But, in the near future, can he leave Mika?

"Yes I slept first, Oma, I started to get sleepy. Good night Opa, good night Oma," said Bylla as she moved from her seat. He did not wait for an answer from his grandparents.

Ms. Mirna looked at Bylla with nanar, not feeling her eyelids start to heat up. Why should his grandson have to experience something this bitter.

"Poor Bylla, Mas." Said Ms. Mirna slowly.

"Do we just tell him the truth, maybe he's not that disappointed, if he knows the truth. Bylla would have understood" said Mr. Louis.

"But we should also respect Mika's opinion, Mas." Answer Miss Mirna.

Mr. Louis nodded at his temple, he seemed to think hard. Trying to find the best solution, so that his two grandchildren can live happily.

A very bright weekend, the shining sun shows its elegance. The blue sky seemed to stretch wide, with white mega-mega decorations moving slowly. The breeze blows softly, feeling cool and comfortable.

Two people are busy arranging books into large enough cardboard boxes, educational books, history books, and fairy tale books and children's stories. Beside the cardboard, there are several large plastic bags filled with snacks, there are chips, biscuits, and also pastries.

Shortly after, a middle-aged woman approached them, carrying a large cardboard box.

"This food is ready Non, rice and side dishes are all the same, I have arranged neatly into the box. The rest is still behind, I take it for a while," said Bik Sari, a domestic assistant at Bylla's house.

"Thank you, Bik." Answer Bylla.

"Let me help, Bik!" sahut Reymond while following the steps of Bik Sari.

"Thank you, sir."

Bylla is not a person who likes to spend money, he prefers to set aside money for those who are more in need. And Reymond, as a lover, always supported what Bylla did. Moreover, this is a positive thing, so why not.

At exactly 09:00 a.m., Reymond and Bylla set off for one of the parlors they frequented. They enjoy traveling, talking and joking together.

"Rey, you will also stop by Alina's house" said Bylla.

"What did you hit, that time?" ask Reymond.

"Yes, pity Rey. He lives in simplicity, his friends are many, and enough for them, only two." Answer Bylla.

"Yes, we'll be there, and I'd like to meet them too. But the rations are there, right, baby?" ask Reymond.

"There, from the beginning I did intend to stop by Alina's place, so I count them." Answer Bylla.

"Good then."

Reymond and Bylla went to the parlour one after another, and distributed the food and books they brought, all of which greeted them happily.

Now that the hour hand has shown at 03:00 pm, the sun began to lean towards the west. The entire parlour had already been visited, and now they were on their way to Alina's house.

At the same time, in a different place.

Two men were sitting on the porch of the house, relieving fatigue while slipping their legs together. Both of them were clad in dull clothes, looking extremely dirty with splashes of cement stains spreading everywhere.

"Small, Bang!" moaned Arron while stomping his ankle that felt very sore.

"Thankful Ron! You should be happy, because there is work, rather than busking," Ghani said as he looked at his friend.

"But so coolies are so tired Bang, much more tired, than busking. Yes, even though the income is more insistent," said Arron.

"Neguli is more blessed Ron, because we are looking for money with energy, not just begging like busking" said Ghani.

"Busking is not just asking for Bang, we are trying, selling votes," said Arron not to lose.

"Our voices are beneficial to them, aren't they? If we care, our energy is needed. Understand that, there's a difference."

"But the singer also makes money through the voice, Bang."

"But they work, not ask. His voice is sold, needed in the world of music" said Ghani.

"Then we become singers only Bang, I think your voice is good, not less than the top singers."

"Your dreams are too high!"

Arron had not yet answered Ghani's remarks, suddenly there was a black car that stopped right in front of his house. Whose car? The only person to visit her home by car is Bylla. But Bylla's car is red, not black.

"Who's Bang?" whispered Arron.

"I don't know either." Ghani replied slowly.

Shortly after, a man got out of the car, followed by a long-haired woman in brownish color. Ghani knew once that the woman was Bylla. But who was the man that came with her, she was not her cousin's older sister that time.

Bylla and Reymond step together towards the terrace of Ghani's house. Bylla carried a plastic bag containing snacks, while Reymond, he carried books and food arranged in cardboard boxes.

"Assalamu'alaikum." Sapa Bylla's.

"Getishalight." Ghani and Arron answered.

"The kids are there?" ask Bylla.

"There's inside, let's go in! Come on please!" arron said as he looked at Bylla and Reymond.

Bylla and Reymond follow Arron, who invites him into the house. While Ghani, he is still fixated on the porch of the house. Who exactly was that man, why was his heart suddenly uncomfortable.

"It's a book, and a little food for the kids" said Bylla, putting books and food on a mat on the floor.

"Thank you Bylla, you shouldn't have bothered."

"It's okay, I want to share a little sustenance with the kids." Answer Bylla.

"Oh yeah, who is this? May know her name, I am very grateful for your kindness, and also Bylla," asked Arron.

"Include me Reymond, I'm Bylla's future husband." Reymond replied firmly, commenting on the smile on his lips.

"Prospective husband." Inner Ghani was standing in the doorway.

His heart was sliced with pain upon hearing a single sentence coming out of Reymond's mouth.

Ghani stared at Bylla's back fixedly, there was a feeling of pain that slowly approached her, as she looked at Bylla who was sitting next to the man, who she said was her future husband.

"I should have realized who I am, daring to hold feelings for a woman like Bylla. He was a shining star in the high sky, whereas I, I was just a dust grain that the wind flew up there, come here, so where could I reach for a star. I should have expected from the beginning, the man who filled your heart, must be the man you are equal to, not the man I am" Ghani said, looking down, looking at her much different state than the man sitting in front of her.

Seriate....
