A Piece of Asa In A Taste

A Piece of Asa In A Taste
Will You Be My Priest?

Regardless of how close the relationship between the two was, Ghani got out of his chair, and crouched down right in front of Bylla. He stretched out his hands, and rubbed Bylla's arms with his rough fingers.

Ghani looked at Bylla closely, there was a very painful feeling, when he saw her slumped in the wound.

"If the test is as big as a ship, be assured that the favor of Allah is as big as the sea. Allah knows the limits of the abilities of every servant. God tests you this way, because God knows you can deal with it.

I know losing it hurts Bylla, but trust me, this is the best for you, and also your sister. Fate is never wrong, Bylla!" ghani said as he rubbed the clear circles that flowed on Bylla's cheeks.

"Cry, if it can ease your burden! But don't get too down in grief, look ahead, your path is still long, there are still many things you can do for your life. Remember those who love you, they will be sad to see you like this!" ghani continued, brushing the messy hair of Bylla on her face.

Bylla slightly raised her face, looking at her shadow which was within Ghani's eyeballs. A simple man like him, whose way of life is also not easy, can have such wise principles. Hardness of life, does not shake the faith and personality that has been embedded in his soul.

"Why do you still care about me?" bylla asked quietly, almost like a whisper.

His disappointment towards Reymond and Sania, made him more vigilant in choosing friends, moreover friends of the opposite sex.

"I have no reason not to care about you." Ghani replied quickly.

Bylla looked at Ghani's face, staring at the shadow she still had in her eyeballs.

Not a pretty picture, he was just a simple man whose skin was not as smooth as other men he knew. But also quite sweet, and eye-pleasing. He was not an authoritative-looking man in a formal suit, he was just a humble man in a dull suit. But his presence was enough to make Bylla feel comfortable.

"Sorry, this is the drink!" bik Sari said a little wrong. Staring at Bylla and Ghani facing each other in a fairly close distance, Bik Sari felt uneasy to tease him.

Ghani gasped in shock, spontaneously he immediately moved, and again sat in his chair. Another case with Bylla, he looked calm, not nervous at all, even though there were servants who approached him.

"I'm not hungry, Bik!" bylla said as she glanced at the large tray filled with food.

Bik Sari smiled, "said Madam, this is for her friend Non Bylla. But he also advised, it would be better if Non Bylla would accompany him to eat, appreciate the guests."

Bylla let out a long sigh, she knew all this was just her grandmother's trick for her to eat, because from the rising of the sun, until now the sun was almost setting, there was not a mouthful of rice that entered her stomach.

"Well, thank you, Bik!" Say Bylla with a stiff smile.

"Who is this man, simply, very far when compared to Mr. Reymond. But it looks like she's special, the evidence of her making Non Bylla smile, I don't think I've seen Non Bylla smile for a long time." Inner Bik Sari in his heart.

"Why, Bik? Is something wrong with me?" asked Bylla while frowning her forehead. A little astonished when stared so intensely by his servant.

"Eh, um it's okay Non. Yes, then I will stay first!" bik Sari replied as she stepped away, leaving behind Bylla and Ghani.

"Let's eat!" take Bylla with you while looking at Ghani.

Then he turned his wheelchair, and faced towards the wooden table decorated with unique carvings. On the tray, there were two plates of white rice, one large bowl of mushroom soup, and a plate of fried chicken, also a glass of matcha latte, and white coffee.

"Eat!" bylla said for the second time.

However, Ghani still remained unmoved. He stared at the delicious food in front of him. The children had not eaten, he thought. He did not buy food for them because he planned to go to the wedding. But the show failed, they must have not eaten yet. Ghani could not have filled his own stomach, while his foster children still held hunger at home.

"Hey, why shut up, what are you thinking?" ask Bylla.

"Mmmm___"

"If you don't eat, I don't eat either!" bylla said firmly.

"Then let's eat!"

"All right!"

There was no other choice, Ghani ended up eating the food served to him, even though it was very bland. Ghani had trouble swallowing the food he was bribing into his mouth, his mind kept imagining the children at home.

"I'm sorry Brother" Ghani said as she scooped up the rice and soup heavily.

About half an hour later, Bylla and Ghani had already finished their meal. Now only two glasses of drink are left half, while the dirty dishes, have been brought to the kitchen by Bik Sari.

"Why did you suddenly visit me? I'm sorry I mean, mmm___" Bylla had trouble passing her sentence. He was afraid that his words would offend Ghani.

Judging from his clothes, it was impossible for Ghani to come to attend his wedding. Then what brought him here, could he possibly know, what happened to him.

"I was looking for abuse, and accidentally saw Reymond with__" Ghani looked at Bylla, wondering how she would respond.

"Women together, right? Yeah, three more days they're married." Bylla smiled bitterly.

"Why Bylla?" ghani asked slowly.

"I told you, he can't accept my situation. I am now paralyzed, there is nothing more to expect from me. That's why he chose another woman, the one you saw was Sania, his future wife, my best friend!" Bylla replied, he pressed every syllable that came out of his mouth.

"What! ...friends?"

"Yes, he's my closest friend. I was devastated to find this fact Ghan, too bitter for me to swallow. The party that was supposed to celebrate my happy day, even became a day full of pain. The man I love, my best friend, they betrayed me. And I haven't had time to heal my wounds, as Mama called. He told Papa that Mika was in a critical condition. I can't go to Paris, because I'm like this. Then yesterday, Mika breathed her last." Say Bylla with a flat look.

His mind seemed to wander somewhere, and Ghani, still silent, gave Bylla a chance to continue the story. In the heart, there was a glimmer of light that began to glow. The woman who was incarnated in her longing, now wants to share the story with her.

"You know, the reason I live here is Mika. Mom and Dad always loved her and ignored me. The difference in affection between us was very contrasting, I was very disappointed in that. And besides, when I went to college here, the guy I really admired, was in a relationship with Mika, even though Mika knew that I admired her a lot. And Mama-Papa, they approve of the relationship. That's why I hate Mika so much, she has taken everything I have. But lately I know, Mama and Papa did that, because Mika has lupus." Sylla continued, the more here her tone became vibrating.

"I'm so sorry, why didn't I realize all this from the beginning. I haven't been able to love him, I haven't been able to play a real brother, it's too late. I'm so disappointed, why didn't anyone tell me. Now I'm buried in this regret, Ghan. Not to mention the wound Reymond left behind, I don't think I'm strong." This time Bylla could no longer hold back her tears, the clear circle just fell so wet her cheeks.

"You must be strong! There is wisdom behind every event. Reymond forsakes you, thank God for keeping you away from a bad man. For your sister, make this a lesson, in the future do not be shallow in drawing conclusions. Bylla, no late affection. If he's gone, you can still pray for him, may he have a beautiful place by his side." Ghani said softly.

"Now, or later, loss is certain. Since every life must be a death, every meeting must be a farewell. Nothing is eternal, all will go away if the time limit comes. Make this loss an occasion to draw closer to your Lord, for He alone is in control of the world. We are but a small element of His creation, so hang your hopes on Him. Confess, complain, surrender your life and destiny. God knows what's best for us." Ghani said in earnest.

"I'm sorry, if I'm being too patronizing. I am not a religious expert, even my science is far below average, only I believe, if destiny is always beautiful. I'm still a lot wrong, a lot of mistakes, but I'm always trying to be happy about what's going on in my life." Ghani Imbuh.

Bylla stared fixedly at Ghani, hearing every sentence she made, slowly the anxiety in her heart faded away.

Bylla smiled, she stared at the sun that had been extinguished. But the star is not yet perfect to show its light, still vague.

"Ghani!" call Bylla.

"Yes." Yeah."

"Will you be my priest?" ask Bylla with a smile.

Seriate....
