A Piece of Asa In A Taste

A Piece of Asa In A Taste
Jealous

Bylla was still unmoved in place, even though Reymond and Sania had already passed quite a distance. Even his stomach was very urgent to go to the bathroom, now no longer feel anything.

The one short sentence that Reymond whispered, managed to make Bylla curious. What really happened to Reymond? A question that really bothered her mind.

"Why did Reymond tell me that, was he really not okay?" murmured Bylla with a long sigh.

While Bylla was still pondering Reymond's words, suddenly someone touched her shoulder from behind.

Bylla gasped in shock, even shouting.

"Bylla, this is Mama" Ella said. It turns out that the one who touched Bylla was her own mother.

"I'm surprised Ma, I guess who," replied Bylla with a laugh.

"You why daydream here, you're fine, right? Mama is worried you have been in the bathroom for a long time" Ella said, staring fixedly at Bylla.

"I'm fine Ma, just met a friend, so it's a long time." Answer Bylla.

"Are those friends you mean Reymond and Sania?" ask Ella.

Bylla swallowed her saliva, why would her mother know, if it was them.

"Bylla!" call Ella.

"Yes Ma." Reply Bylla briefly.

"What are they doing? Humiliate you, mock, or what? Say Bylla!" ella said quickly, the look in her eyes implying anger.

"No Ma, Reymond was silent, only Sania greeted me. He was just asking me how I was doing, Ma, no problem" replied Bylla with a smile. He tried to convince his mother that nothing had happened between them.

"You're serious, you didn't lie to Mama?" ask Ella.

"No Ma."

"Reymond didn't say anything?" Ella asked again. He was sure, Reymond must have been surprised to see Bylla began to learn to walk. So there's no way he's just quiet.

Bylla fell silent, again remembering the sentence Reymond whispered to her.

"Bylla!" call Ella.

"He was a little surprised Ma, he didn't think that I could leave the wheelchair." Reply Bylla slowly.

"He must be sorry he wasted you, you son of a bitch. Bylla, if she ever comes back, never open your heart to her. A man like Reymond doesn't deserve to be loved" Ella said at length.

"Is.iya Ma. Yes, let's go there, Ma, poor Papa, waiting alone," asked Bylla as she stepped her foot. He deliberately shifted the subject.

"Alright," Ella replied as she followed Bylla's steps. He no longer asked, though in his heart he was sure there was something that Bylla had hidden.

***

The hour hand showed at 08:00 p.m., Bylla and her parents had just arrived home. Bylla went straight into her room, and stood by the window.

Bylla opened the window, and flicked her curtains wide, letting the night wind blow across her face. Bylla stared at the stars and the moon that revealed her elegance.

I have gained karma

A sentence still lingering in Bylla's memory. What the hell does that mean? Why would Reymond talk to her like that.

"Ahh," sizzled Bylla slowly. He let out a long sigh while closing his eyes, hoping that the sentence disappeared from his mind. He sat in a chair not far from the window.

"Why do I keep thinking about it anyway, he hurt me, it should be good if he got karma, let him know the taste," Bylla grumbled while propping up his chin.

"But why keep thinking. I'm dating her wedding, what happened between her and Sania." Bylla spoke to herself.

While Bylla was still deep in thought, suddenly her phone rang. It was Ghani who called him. Bylla commented a big smile, then she rubbed the green button listed there.

"Hallo, Assalamu'alaikum Ghani." Sapa Bylla's.

"Waalaikumsalam Bylla, what else?" ask Ghani from across the street.

"Are you serious?" ask Ghani.

"Yes, why?" Bylla asked back.

"I was also sitting by the window, but the star only seemed faint, it was cloudy here." Answer Ghani.

"True, why can it be the same, yes" said Bylla laughing crisply.

"Sign of a soul mate." Ghani replied without hesitation.

Bylla clenched her chest, her heart beating faster, when she heard Ghani's words. Ahh just a simple sentence, but managed to make Bylla blush.

"Bylla!" call Ghani.

"Ehmm yes."

"Why silence?" ask Ghani.

"Thinking of you," replied Bylla again with a laugh. Even though what he said was actually a fact, he left it with laughter, so that the effect would be like a joke.

"I also think of you" Ghani said seriously.

"Eh, um yeah?"

"Yes, how I joke." Answer Ghani.

Not yet had Bylla answer Ghani's words, suddenly there was a female voice that sounded vaguely behind Ghani.

Ghani, it turns out you're here. I fell asleep and you just left me.

Sorry Ev, I know you're tired, so I didn't wake you up.

Bylla's heart was beating fast. Hearing Ghani and Evelyn's conversation, her heart started to heat up.

"It's behind the scenes, but they sound so familiar. Why did Evelyn go to Ghani's room, and fall asleep, tired, what were they doing?" bylla bit her lips.

Wait a minute, I'm still calling my friend

Ghani continued to speak to Evelyn.

"Bylla!" call Ghani.

"Hmm." Bylla muttered lazily.

"I'm sorry I hung up the phone, I still have a little work, I'll call again" Ghani said without burden.

"No, after this I went to bed." Replied Bylla in a flat tone.

"Oh so, all right. Don't forget to pray, and have a good dream" Ghani said.

"Yes." Yeah." Bylla said briefly, and without further ado he immediately hung up his phone.

Bylla just threw her phone on the table. He spoke in a flat tone, and without a smile, hoping that Ghani would be sensitive and explain what he meant.

But in reality, Ghani did not understand. He even just uttered a beautiful dream, without explaining his relationship with Evelyn, and what they were doing.

"Tonight, what about what they did. Although I knew Ghani was a wise man who always drew closer to his God, but hearing the word sleep and tired, my mind was a little shaky. Let alone Evelyn coming to her room, what does this mean?" bylla said alone.

Then Bylla got up from her seat, she stood facing the wide open window of the room.

Bylla looked up, and looked back at the expanse of sky decorated with mega-mega-grey.

"We are under the same sky, but where we stand, lies a great distance. Ghani, will we stay on the same feeling until the end. I hope my love this time ends beautifully, not wound up like it used to." Bylla said in the cold of the night. It was as if he had given his hope to the slow night wind.

Is this what it feels like to be jealous?
