A Series of Dreams
34. Sneaking out

Completely doing her intention, Wisely takes Seruni away from Kenanga and Caraka's wedding after the girl nods doubtfully. The two slipped away from the wedding venue, quietly separating themselves from the crowd of people. Water spots still hit the earth as if to witness two hearts recognize each other.

“Where are we going, Aa?” tanya Seruni while fixing her messy hairdo exposed to the rain. The crown of flowers that adorn the shoots of the head is also damaged, the petals shed.

“Loh, you know the area here. Why ask me?” Wisely asked back.

Wrong manner, Seruni bowed in shame. Caged both in the car, awkwardness enveloped. Occasionally glanced at the handsome man who was gripping the steering wheel.

“I mean, Aa want to go where?”

Wisely glanced at the beautiful girl next to him. Seruni was a little different from the women who accompanied her days during this time. Simple beauty, shy attitude adorable, and still a little kampungan. At the beginning of the meeting, he refused. Firmly do not accept matchmaking plans because their world is like heaven and earth. However, today he found another reason to stay afloat. No longer just afraid of being removed from the status of heirs.

Seruni is sweet, quite interesting, and beautiful. The girl does not need thick makeup, expensive dresses, but can make it up. Something that the girls haven't had all this time. Especially when curiosity grows with the story of the past that he secretly heard accidentally. There is a jealousy bias present.

“Way where is good?”

Seruni.

“Mal?” ask Wisely while driving. Half the focus is divided on the wet streets, the rest trapped in the unusual charm of Seruni.

“Mal is a little far away, Aa. Must be to city.”

“No problem, anyway? The event until night and we can pamper ourselves.

Seruni jerks. “Father and Mother, how?”

Not wanting much protest, Seruni said. Already wet, forward or backward so all wrong.

“We buy a change of clothes.”

“Hah!” Seruni surprised. “For whom?” tanyanya. His hearing captures Wisely saying that the sentence was meant for him. But still, he has to make sure.

“For you. Are you not ashamed of being this official, then the way to everywhere?” Wisely explained the reason.

Seruni shook his head weakly.

“But, I'm shy.” Wisely added and made Seruni pout. “You're beautiful, but makeup doesn't fit the place. We go to the mall, find a change of clothes and are ready to explore the city of Bandung.” The man explained his point, without being asked. The frowning lips of the future wife enough to make him understand there has been a misunderstanding in the mind of Seruni.

Seruni carved a timid smile, her cheeks met as Wisely praised.

The village girl. It's easy to woo. But, he looks different because of that. So there is added value.

The rest of the journey, the two chose silence. Two broken words were heard when the driver asked the road. Both were awkward, confused. Questions flew in the minds of the two, but it was difficult to execute. Until finally after almost forty minutes of driving, a piece of question slid from Wisely's lips.

“How can your lover marry your sister?”

Like being hit by a loud explosion, Seruni fell silent and froze for a moment. Things he had not wanted to remember all this time, whispered Wisely. The pain has not gone away, especially when seeing a husband and wife being friendly. Disappointment can no longer be expressed in words. But the pain was excruciating.

“Kak Anga ...”
