A Substitute

A Substitute
You dare slap me

The next day, Light and Davin were ready to leave the hotel. They go home to Davin's parents to prepare a welcoming party for them.

The light was happy because it was well received by the Davin family. However, he felt sad because Davin was only a substitute for him. Likewise with him who is only limited to status to avoid arranged marriages made by Davin's parents.

"This is the key to your house get out of here" Sevina told Davin.

"Ma, what is this?" ask Davin astonished.

"Have you told me that it's the house key, Davin, didn't you hear?"

"Yes, I heard, Ma, but we have to get kicked out of here?" Davin scrunched his forehead.

"Because you and Light must have their own home so that our grandchildren can be quick."

Sevina's speech made Davin's eyes perfectly round. So too with the Light that is now turning nervous.

"Why silence? Remember, yes, don't try to delay the child or you'll know the consequences!" Sevina looked at Davin with a sharp look. His gaze was filled with threats that made Davin look doubtful.

Sevina gave the house keys to the Light she immediately received with a confused feeling.

"Yes, all right, Ma, where's this house?" ask Davin.

"That's, next door." Sevina pointed at the house next to their house.

"Ma, isn't that our neighbor's house, Aunt Mutia?"

"Yes, Mama bought her house a month ago. And he agreed to leave the house."

"That's not important. Instead of every day he always steals a look with your Papa, better Mama just throw it out. Now you don't have to worry anymore you'll be away from us." Sevina smiled strangely at Davin. It was as if he could read the situation where Davin and Light were married not out of love, but were forced into circumstances.

"Alright, Ma, thank you. We'll be out of this house as soon as Mama wants." Davin invites Light to go to their new home.

There, the Light was greatly amazed by the beauty and splendor of the house. Davin felt that the decoration outside and inside the house was the work of his mother. Because the decoration was exactly with his taste.

"Light, that's your room, yes, and this is my room" Davin said, pointing to the two adjoining rooms in front of them.

"Mas, we're not in one room?" tanya Light wonder.

"No, Light, I'm not used to sleeping with other people. Please understand, yes."

"But Mama wants us to have children soon, Mas."

"Light, all your talk about the child or anything else please don't listen. Just understand that our marriage is only temporary. I'll wait for the right time for us to get a divorce."

Hearing Davin's words, Light immediately looked down sad. He nodded weakly as he walked towards his room.

Davin who was in his room immediately fix the contents of the bag he brought from his mother's house. The bag contained her valuables.

While taking out one by one the item, accidentally a small photo fell. A photo of a very beautiful and graceful hijab-wearing woman. She is Sapphira, a woman who is loved by Davin even though she is now his cousin's wife.

He took a deep breath, then took it out slowly. "I think it's hard to forget you, Safira."
