ADELINES
Fortune Day

It's the day of vengeance for the fates of Ayline and Adeline. The brown map contains a job application letter carried by Adeline who is now stepping foot on the sidewalk of Halmahera road. Although already three job sites reject Adeline job applications, but Adeline did not give up to find a job that is opening job vacancies.

Adeline is certainly not alone on that road. Many bread fighters who also walk on the streets while busy with their respective mobile phones. But Adeline is more focused on her steps while enjoying the beauty of the city she treads.

Freedom accompanies Adeline for now. He was free to walk in any style on those streets without being followed by a resolute warrior. She is free to wear casual yet polite clothes without having to wear a dress that restricts her movement.

Beverage store that is not far from Adeline became the object that made Adeline want to buy cold coffee there. But Adeline realized, the money left in Ayline wallet is only enough for transportation costs to return home later.

"One day I will buy cold coffee there with Agatha" he promised himself.

Adeline continued her steps cheerfully. The bend that was soon in front of him made him confused where to go. So that Adeline first to stop her steps in the midst of people passing by.

But shit has to hit Adeline again.

Bruk!

"Ah sorry." A man dressed in casual yet neat clothes ran over Adeline as she ran from the left and did not know Adeline was stopping.

Adeline, who was neutralizing her suddenly blurry vision, straightened her hands forward hoping that the person would help her not to collapse there.

Thankfully the man was sensitive to the cues given by Adeline. The man immediately held back the staggering Adeline. "You're gapapa?" tanyakanya.

"Can't you walk right?" ask Adeline back in a slightly high tone. Her eyes were glaring at the man in front of her. "I'm this big you still hit, don't you see me?" The standard language used in his native world is so thrown again now.

The man seemed agitated, but he chose to solve the problem he was facing at this moment first. "We're sitting there first what do you want?" he asked while pointing at an empty roadside bench.

Adeline nodded. Adeline street first followed by the man she did not know.

The man took out a bottle of warm tea from his bag. He handed it to Adeline. "Drink first."

Adeline came first to smell the drink. "There's no poison, right?" ask him with suspicion.

"That's the tea I made for myself. If I don't meet you now, then I will die if there is poison in the drink" the man replied gently. Either it is a gentle style of speech or it is one way that between them there is no cause for emotion.

Adeline hesitantly sipped the tea because she really needed a drink to neutralize her suddenly dizzy head.

Half the tea was drunk by Adeline. Either because it really needs to drink or eat with the delicious taste of tea.

The bottle was returned to its owner. "Thank you" he said.

The man nodded then took something inside his shirt pocket. The nametag says Rebyano Al Bara is something Adeline is misfocused on. Turns out Rebyano was the man's name.

The focus was spread by Rebyano who held out two sheets of tissue. "To wipe your sweat."

Dret!

Dret!

Rebyano picked up his phone that rang in his pants pocket.

"Heh son of a bitch. Where are you now?" A man's voice from the phone sounded loud. Rebyano hurriedly pressed the volume down button to reduce his phone call.

"I'm still on the road, dad. Almost there, wait a minute."

"Take someone? Who?"

Adeline chose silence while wiping her sweat. He did not care about the man next to him who was busy talking to someone on his phone.

"Next to me?" Rebyano looked at Adeline. Feeling himself stared at by the man next to him, Adeline looked back at Rebyano with a confused look on her face, next to her raised eyebrows. "I asked you first, Dad... I'll be there soon."

Tut!

Phone connection disconnected. Rebyano put his cell phone in his pants pocket again. "You need a job?" tanyanya while glancing slightly towards the brown map in Adeline's hand.

Adeline nodded then raised the brown map she was holding. "But no one has accepted."

"What if you come with me? My dad's shop is in need of someone to deliver the buyer's order. Do you want to?"

But Adeline's facial features showed some doubt. There was a question in his heart that was not pleasant to ask.

"In return, I'm sure you'll pay for your performance while you work."

So sensitive to this man!

Adeline smiled and nodded. He was happy to accept the job. The sustenance cannot be denied.

Rebyano quickly pulls Adeline to run to her father's tavern. Surprised Adeline was finally forced to balance her body which was running along the sidewalk of Halmahera road.

The people they passed by looked like shadows. Many people are forced to stay away from being hit by them.

Two corners have been passed until finally they now set foot in front of the shop Al. The classic nuance shop that is crowded with visitors becomes a new object seen by Adeline.

"A lot," said Adeline as she caught her breath panting

Rebyano nodded as he adjusted his breath as well. "That's why I brought you here. I need someone's help other than me and my mom."

"Where is your father?"

Rebyano's index finger pointed straight at the middle-aged man who was carrying the buyer's order with his black tray. "There."

The designated feel is being noticed also directly looking for where the person is. The middle-aged man pointed back at Rebyano after the buyer's order had been neatly arranged on the table. "Hurry up here!"

Rebyano pulls Adeline again to approach her father.

"Who is he?" asked the middle-aged man with a whisper in Rebyano's ear.

"So my father asked me to take someone next to me. The one beside me was just him," he said as he pointed at the stiff-smiling Adeline. "It just so happens that he's in need of a job, too, so I brought him here."

The middle-aged man understood. He smiled at Adeline. "You help me out there first" she told Rebyano.

The good boy nodded. She smiled faintly at Adeline before leaving her with her father.

The middle-aged man in front of Adeline extended his right hand. Adeline quickly grabbed the helping hand with her right hand.

"I'm Daryata Al Bara, the owner of this store and the father of Rebyano" he said.

Adeline smiled sweetly and nodded small. "My name is Ayline Namora Ilza, sir." Adeline introduced herself to the name of the owner of her body because the name was more officially listed in this world.

"You seriously want to work in my shop?" ask Daryata.

Adeline nodded then showed me a brown map containing a job application letter. "I'm in need of a job sir" he said, revealing his teeth.

The chocolate map was taken from Daryata. Some job application sheets at some companies are still in the folder. Some have been rejected, some have not been submitted to the destination company.

Daryata smiled. "There's no purpose to go to this store."

Panic is not playing Adeline at the moment. "Sorry sir. I'll make it and leave it to you."

"Ha.. Ha.. Ha.. No need, son. This is just a regular store that was built by me. I don't need your job application letter, all I need is your honesty and responsibility to work here."

Relieved. Adeline smiled then nodded small. "I promise to be honest and responsible for what I do, sir."

"I like this one." The paper that was removed is now put back in the folder. "From now on you help my family in this shop."

Adeline's eyes sparkled. That's as easy as getting a job. Didn't think today was really a lucky day for her. "Thank you sir!" Adeline bowed her body giving a sign of respect.

"Just call me father and my wife who are in there just call me mother, yes. Think of us as family."

Adeline nodded. It's not good to play with people like this.

Adeline promises to be the best now. Adeline managed to prove her determination to get a job today.

Happy Adeline.
