CH 63 - Scarlet Problems

After I finished talking to Shio, I entered my class and then saw some of my friends who had come to swarm me.

They asked about my absence for these 3 months and I replied with the same answer as I told Shio.

After all that was done I sat down beside Mei, who was busy reading her book. Without me noticing, Mei smiled sweetly as I sat nearby, as if she was aware of my existence even while she was focusing on reading her book.

And it was like that, because Mei immediately closed her book and then asked with a warm smile and a little interest on her face.

"So, Shio said something?"

“Ugh.”

I smiled bitterly because of that question.

Although Mei smiled warmly, like a wife who accepted her husband's return, but her question made it frightening because she seemed to know everything.

So, as if whatever my secret was, I couldn't hide it from her.

Well, instead of me going to hide my affair, ahem-I mean my conversation with Shio. I just want to talk about it at the right time and place. But since he asked I think I should explain everything.

But, Uh, somehow, I feel like a husband who was arrested by his wife.

When I opened my mouth to acknowledge everything that was going on between me and Shio, a voice interrupted us from it.

“Riyu, Scarlet Sensei told you to come to his place.”

One of my friends was screaming at the door.

If it was something ordinary, I would probably answer then continue our conversation. But, since it was about Scarlet, I inevitably became interested in it so I asked her to confirm it.

“Scarlet Sen - Sei? Why would he want to meet me?”

I asked my friend after I almost called Scarlet senpai. It was a habit that I had a hard time changing, well I didn't want to change that habit either haha.

“Entahlah. Are you making trouble again?”

“Uhm. I don't think so, at least not yet?”

My friend looked at me with a strange look. She might feel weird about what I said that seemed like it would create trouble when I just entered school after such a long time. But I ignored her gaze and instead turned my attention to Mei.

“We'll talk about it later. Just go, sensei may need your help quickly.”

“Good.”

By May's consent, I got up from my seat to go towards my favorite senpai.

In his office, Scarlet sat down with a grim face.

He was like that because his desk was filled with various papers and documents. Of course, he went back and forth working on the report because he had missed his job for 2 months.

Three months ago, Scarlet had to serve her sentence and write a report about what happened during the events of Yozora City, 3 months ago. And when he finally finished taking care of all that, he was faced with a pile of documents in Yozora Academy.

Naturally, considering that soon there will be a graduation ceremony at Yozora High School. However, it remained that the documents Scarlet had to deal with had piled up like a mountain. Even if he did not sleep though, it seemed to be endless.

Scarlet couldn't help but feel annoyed about it. So, when she learned that her troubled student had finally attended class, she thought of an idea.

Scarlet answered the door knock, but her hands and eyes did not stop to continue working.

When the door opens and Riyu enters the room, she has a cheerful face as she can finally meet her senpai again. So, when he entered, he excitedly tried to greet her as usual.

“Good morning Scarlet Sen-”

“Hem?”

When Riyu wanted to call her senpai, Scarlet stopped moving her hand then turned her gaze to Riyu sharply. Her eyes were like a tiger that seemed to want to eat Riyu all the way to the bone if she called him senpai.

“Sei.”

Riyu broke out in cold sweat when she saw her Senpai annoyed face so she stopped her plans to tease him.

“Sit there and work on all those reports!”

Scarlet said with a commanding tone.

“What?”

Ryu who was still confused about all that couldn't help but ask because this wasn't what he expected. At first, he thought his senpai needed confirmation of what happened 3 months ago.

But what Scarlet senpai said exceeded her expectations.

“What? Don't you want to do it? Should I use my punch for you to understand.”

Scarlet looked at Riyu more sharply and she positioned herself as if she was preparing to hit Riyu if she dared to refuse her orders.

“Ugh. But sensei isn't this a report that only teachers should see? Do you think I can see it?”

Riyu answered hesitantly after analyzing some of the reports piled up on the other table. And it was just like Ryu said. It should only be seen by a certain person, not by a student like himself.

“I'm his teacher here. So that's my problem not yours.”

‘What the heck. That is positional discrimination, dictatorship, and blackmail. I demand justice here.’ In her heart Riyu cursed her senpai reply.

But his face was still calm. He still wants to try one more chance. If he was not calm, not only would he be forced to work, but he would also feel his senpai punch again

“Uh. But, you know sensei, I am a student here, do you think I can solve all that?”

It is Riyu's last hope that Scarlet will release him from that pile of documents. Just looking at her, Riyu could already imagine what would happen to her.

“Hmp, don't pretend to be a little sheep. I know your abilities and it's an easy job for you.”

Her last hope was dashed already so Riyu could only lower her shoulders and give up on it all.

“Ugh, well I'll work on it.”

Riyu walked the table of one of the tables then sat down to clear all the documents.

And just like that, Scarlet and Riyu work in a room together. They focus on their own work. No one talks to each other because they know that it will only prolong their work.
