Chapter 2: Raezha's
After decades of running cases, but no one has managed to find the perpetrator. Even more anomalies spread to other Asian countries, as if this case is not an ordinary case anymore but has become a viral outbreak.
Now the creature believed to be the main culprit has been given some code like ANM-01(B) which is the code for the creature that first started the missing person case. The code is also intended as an anomaly identification is also intended as information about the level of danger of the anomaly. As the letter "A" stands for "Threat", "B" for "Danger", "H" for "Avoid" (Typically type H is an anomaly that often appears at night but does nothing or just observes), and the most dangerous is "K" for "Claster" (The cluster level is the most dangerous because these anomalous creatures always appear in groups, not alone).
The code is an official code issued by the "Anomaly Affairs Agency" or the acronym "BARUNO", which is used", this body is a non-ministerial body of the Indonesian government whose duty is to detect and notify the anomalies in the areas in Indonesia as a warning to the community to immediately take shelter. The agency was established in 1994 in response to the slow resolution of rampant cases.
There were already many anomalous creatures that were captured and put into special cells, but they could not be destroyed in any way either shot or detonated using bombs. This is also what is feared by the government if the creature suddenly escaped from the cell, some of the anomalous creatures captured have been shown in the media so that the public can see the characteristics of these creatures if such anomalous creatures escape from the cell. While other anomalous creatures that have not been captured can only be temporarily classified through the characteristic image of an anomaly. Also through the Anomaly Affairs Institute, the government can inform the public that an anomaly will strike someone who is alone in a dark place.
In 2017 it was exactly 31 years after missing persons cases occurred for the first time. A 19-year-old man named Raezha. Since childhood he lived with a grandfather without ever knowing who the real parents were, but at the age of 15 he lost the figure of the person who had been looking after him since childhood.
Currently Raezha lives in a boarding house in the Tangerang area, Raezha is currently still looking for work because he has been unemployed for 1 year since graduating high school. It is not an easy thing to find a job, what else Raezha currently does not have anyone who can help him. So he had to quickly find a job or he had to owe and instead ended up unable to pay the debt because he had no job.
On September 12, 2017, Raezha woke up from her sleep. He immediately washed his face for a while then took the instant noodles in the cupboard and took the pot and filled it with water. Raezha lit the stove fire and waited for the noodles to mature. While waiting for instant noodles, Raezha turned on the television and watched the news broadcast.
“Same thing, again..” Raezha said while holding a towel.
The news related to the anomaly case has indeed decreased but every time Raezha saw the news he would be upset and feel sick of the same news.
“Why is the world as slow as taking care of a case like this? Already 31 years running.” Raezha said cynically.
Raezha then walked back to see the instant noodles he cooked, after the instant noodles ripened he moved the noodles into the dish and then started eating.
After eating Raezha went to the bathroom to take a shower. After bathing Raezha immediately put on her clothes neatly, tidying her hair and using perfume.
After preparing everything including carrying documents, Raezha opened the door and exited the boarding house and locked the boarding door.
“I hope I have a chance.” Raezha walks away from the boarding house, goes to where he is going to apply for a job.
After arriving at the place where he was going to propose, Raezha looked at the queue of people who also wanted to propose. Long enough, but Raezha kept waiting because this was the dozens he rejected.
After arriving at Raezha's turn, Raezha walks into the Interview room even though Raezha himself has no hope that he will be accepted for work.
“My name is Raezha 19 years old.” Raezha replied without nervousness and face as if expressionless.
Then Raezha gave the documents he held to HRD.
HRD took Raezha's documents but he did not read them, not even opened them. HRD just put Raezha's documents on the table and continued questioning Raezha.
“Do you have experience in working at this company to dare to apply even though only SMA graduates?” Ask HRD cynically.
Raezha picked up her documents and immediately left the Interview room without saying a word.
“It's just that I answered it, in the end of that question I will definitely be rejected.” Gerrutu Raezha while walking away from the company.
“In addition to the times I will apply to be a waitress at the restaurant alone rather than having to deal with such a stupid HRD, I have been rejected six times and this time is the stupidest I have ever experienced.” Gerrutu Raezha grumbled. Raezha actually hopes he will be accepted because he needs a job to pay the rent, or else he will be expelled by the owner of the boarding house.
Raezha walks home to the boarding house through a small alleyway. This time he did not pass the road that he usually passed, because there was construction of a building.
While walking Raezha heard the sound of an empty and narrow and dark place, it was difficult to explain this place but it was between two houses.
Raezha stopped and noticed the dark place, a sound of a falling iron pipe sounded loud but did not startle Raezha.
“Oh only cats.” A cat jumped from an iron pipe and ran away. Raezha also left the dark place.
Arriving in the room Raezha immediately put the documents on the table and turn on the television. While watching the news, the live broadcast turned into an error and then turned into a warning from the government through the Anomaly Affairs Institute.
“What?! Anomaly again?!” Raezha hurried to lock the door and close the window with the curtains.
“WARNING! THE WARNING! THE WARNING! IT'S NOT A SIMULATION! AN ANOMALY TYPE 'ANM-047(A)' HAS APPEARED AROUND THE SOUTHERN TANGERANG AREA AND ITS SURROUNDINGS, THE COMMUNITY IS ENCOURAGED TO HIDE AT HOME OR NOT IN A CONDITION ALONE WHEN OUTSIDE THE HOUSE! ANOMALY TYPE 'ANM-047(A)' HAS A CHARACTERISTIC LIKE A MAN IN A SUIT BUT HE IS VERY HIGH SIZED AND EVERY PLACE HE GOES THROUGH WILL EXPERIENCE SIGNAL INTERFERENCE!” The warning sound from the television was played for three times by showing a picture of the anomaly.
Everyone also closed their doors and windows. Then the sound of warning sirens rang out loudly throughout the South Tangerang region and its surroundings, signaling anomalies had approached and were hiding in dark locations....
