Chapters. 26 Two Questions, And Last—

Qin Yu directly approached Qin Chen, he sobbed as he looked towards Qin Chen. "Stupid!" He immediately hugged her very tightly ignoring the place and the atmosphere above the large concrete wall, Yang Xi just silently looked at her from behind.

Qin Chen rubbed his head, "Don't cry, I won't leave without taking you. Now, have you prepared the items that will be brought? We'll leave this place as soon as possible because time is life."

"I've cleaned up the things that will be brought. But—" Qin Yu turned his head back to Captain Yang Xi. "Is Chen Gege going to leave without saying anything to her? Although I hate him for daring to snatch Chen Gege, but I can't ignore his feelings." Qin Yu sullenly spoke, he was still angered by Yang Xi's presence but on the other hand he couldn't ignore it.

Qin Chen only smiled hearing that, he came to Yang Xi with his usual appearance. "I won't say much, before coming to this camp, I've been planning to head to the center of the red fog." Qin Chen pointed towards the center of the red fog. "Maybe there's something there. I want to find out and stop this Apocalypse as soon as possible."

"What—" Yang Xi paused for a moment she stared at his figure. "Can you stay in camp one more night? I won't force you, I just want to ask you something that bothers me." Further.

Qin Yu nodded it made Qin Chen respond to him, this was a miracle for him. "I don't promise to answer all the questions you want to ask. But I'll try to answer your question."

"Thank you."

All the members of the special forces fell silent beside the two of them, where they were shooting the remaining zombies without disturbing the two of them talking to each other. Qin Chen and Qin Yu went to where her tent was to stay one night in the refugee camp before leaving in the morning.

Later that night, Qin Chen met Yang Xi at his place. The two met the same place as last night in the room with a dim light, Yang Xi was waiting for him at the soup. As Qin Chen walked into the room, Yang Xi immediately stood in his honor as a guest.

Qin Chen approached him and sat down in front of him. "What do you want to ask?" He was straight to the point, however he came to the camp not to help them but to find his sister.

All the formalities he gave to the camp were only to gain personal advantage where women and possessions were his gifts. Now, he was about to return to his main destination, it was to visit the center of the red fog out there with his sister.

Yang Xi who heard that was at a loss as to where to start. "Can you explain why you want to go to the center of the red fog? Didn't you already know that touching it would turn someone into a zombie."

Qin Chen smiled faintly leaning his back. "Shoot me with your gun. That way, you'll know why I want to get inside the center of the red fog." Qin Chen replied to him with a mysterious smile that plagued his mind.

"What do you mean—" Qin Chen touched his lips with a hand.

"Don't break it, you wanna know, don't you?"

With hesitation he took out his weapon, it aimed at Qin Chen's right arm. "Just shoot, I'm the one who asked for it, and not you." He said, it was unusual for Captain Yang Xi to shoot someone he knew quite closely in another sense.

Bang out!

Without a doubt in his eyes, he fired that shot into Qin Chen's hands. Blood spurted out before his eyes, it made Yang Xi worried but before he could treat it the wound on his hand healed and the bullet that entered his hand came out directly.

"How is it possible!" He said, it was so shocking that he could not believe this.

"Believe it or not depends on how you look at me. Overall, I'm not a human but a mutation that develops individually without anyone's help, it makes the genes in my body change following the mutation genes out there. But it still has intelligence and humanity itself."

"Fall down, you're immortal?" Confusedly put out that sentence.

Qin Chen nodded despite being only a small possibility in immortals now.

"The next question."

He has not had time to digest it now, he gets a chance to question both. "What did you say earlier, about something at the center of the red fog that you believe there's something in the depths there."

"I just thought, maybe there's something that makes technology in this day and age stop forcibly. If it's destroyed, maybe everyone can use today's technology, it'll make it easier for scientists to deal with this Apocalypse disaster."

"So apparently, you believe there's something that can suppress the technology at the center of the red fog, huh? I understand now." He muttered, he touched his chin while digesting the information he got.

After hearing that, he had no questions for Qin Chen. Yang Xi fully believed it because she had already discovered the strangeness from commander Jiang Ta's report.

"Thank you so much for helping us out at camp." He said, bowing in front of him.

"No problem, then are you satisfied with those two questions?" Qin Chen asked him, as only two questions he asked him.

"I've concluded a lot and got the answer. Now, I just want you to be normal with me, because it feels so uncomfortable talking to you right now." He said, he felt Qin Chen was very far now unlike before so close.

Qin Chen smiled faintly, "Sure, that's what you want then I can only obey it."

The two talked together in the room talking about the center of the red fog, Qin Chen gave the information he knew about zombies and mutations. The information can be used for them, special forces will act in the future to find supplies in the city.

The night Qin Chen did not return to the tent made Qin Yu suspect the two of them of doing something behind him. Without him saying that right now, Qin Chen was indeed doing something together without anyone's knowledge.

"Are you going in the morning?" Ask Yang Xi.

"As I told you earlier, I'm leaving the next morning. So give me your phone number. If what I say is true, I'll call you directly and tell you the information I got at the center of the red mist. That way, you can use that information to thrive in this place."

Both of his hands holding the cloth closed his lips while turning his gaze sideways, Qin Chen lowered his head and kissed his lips which let out a friendly sounding sound in his ears.
