Apocalypse Witch: To the Strongests of an Age of Plenty

Apocalypse Witch: To the Strongests of an Age of Plenty
Episode 19's

In an instant, Susannia Evans approached the target using much of the information and guidance displayed in her biological vision, but she also pondered something that went beyond the tactical situation before her.

What happened to the crystal girl from those reports?

Obviously the enemy will give priority to life rather than death. And if the girl was abandoned when they escaped from the log cabin, she would definitely be destroyed along with the building.

But based on the fragments of information they had from the broadcast station and London, it was Crystal Blossom that was fully functional apart from the user.

It can be stored inside the user's body.

So which is right?

Is the crystal girl there or not? And how will it affect this battle?

When he thought like that, the double pigtailed girl changed the way she flew. He quickly braked and approached Susannia. If this was not a slippery type of melee combat using a sword or spear, then there was really no advantage to getting close. They might have expected him to miss them, but he wouldn't go past them and let them take an offensive position behind him.

But then something happened.

There was something coming out from behind the boy holding onto the double pigtailed girl.

He is Aine, a deadly weapon with a smooth body and pale skin.

"What-what?"

The crystal girl performed a very simple action.

He did not use a special sword. He also did not participate in aerial combat.

In that world of high-speed aerial combat, he was separated from his sacrificed son. He's released. He held on to nothing, strong winds struck him, and his silver hair decomposed while reflecting the rainbow-colored light.

He was forcibly launched.

The slender girl flew backwards. Yes, she slammed into Susannia Evans who was behind her.

Susannia frantically tried to dodge, but it was too late.

"You're fucking-agh!?"

He collided with a mass of several dozen kilograms while moving at the speed of artillery shells. It would normally destroy both of their bodies, but the crystal girl was not to the point of cracking. The shrill breaking sound that accompanied the impact was most likely from the spatial vibration field of the barrier he had set up. He gripped Susannia from the front. Her soft but cold hands and feet clung to Susannia like the tentacles of an octopus or squid or like a drowning child trapping a would-be rescuer who had jumped into the sea or river to save them. And he gripped with an incredible grip.

He chose slavery as a form of attack.

Susannia flies by using magical powers, but she cannot ignore the laws of physics entirely as on Santa's broom or sled seen in the storybook. His exposed wings were forced to fold back in force and the bottle-sized jet engine he had was destroyed, so he could no longer keep his body in the air.

“Wait, what?! You, shit!”

“Do not worry.” The cold girl placed her chin on Susannia's shoulder and whispered in her ear with her legs still wrapped around her. “I am not fragile to the point of being crushed after free fall from this height at this fast speed.”

“Persephone, do something!!”

Susannia's face stiffened as she sent out a request into her to open up all the shock-absorbing structures on her body surface. But the request was not answered. Aine's tight grip on her body prevented the hatch from opening.

From there, they looked like shooting stars.

Both of them smashed onto the snowy surface with their supersonic speeds still intact.

The result looks terrible.

Most of the white scenery had been torn to pieces to reveal the contrasting dark ground beneath.

Marika looked at the crater with a radius of 20 meters from the sky, then slowly descended to the center of the crater with the boy still holding on to his hips.

The Crystal Aine girl waved to them from there.

The location of Susannia Evans is unclear. Or rather, he was scattered everywhere. More than being torn to shreds, he looked like he was torn to shreds. And mechanical components with a dull silver luster spread over an even wider area, which extended beyond the crater. The horrifying sight looked like the crash site of a passenger plane and Marika gave an irritated comment while pulling the Crystal Blossom armor and its rapier.

"It's really like four-dimensional storage. It's more than a multitool. You might be able to build a pyramid with all of these items. How can it be contained in the volume of the human body?"

"Maybe this is the magic he uses. After all, Susannia Evans had been defeated. But what should we do now, Sacri-sama? If we're lucky, Anastasia Blast will be here as well, but if we don't, we'll have to start over in search of her" they said.

"Look, all of this is iron, aluminum, and stainless steel. All have been processed from first-generation sources that cannot be recycled" Marika explained. "Back in their 'peace age' before we start attacking them, it will be a pile of treasures."

"I'm only interested in pure gold" Aine said.

Karuta belatedly let out a slow breath while listening to their conversation.

He killed someone. It happened so fast that it still didn't feel real.

He has no other choice.

"Would he be able to fly and possibly swim across the ocean as well, but would he really travel around the world like that?" ask Marika. "He's like their secret weapon away from the media, so I'm sure they want to avoid letting anyone see him use his magic.or use those weapons, I guess."

"What do you mean?"

"He will use normal transportation as much as possible. The car next to the log cabin was just bait and he blew it up with his first strike, but maybe he had another car or helicopter hidden somewhere further away. If we can find him, maybe we can find some information there."

Utagai Karuta thought to himself while listening.

They have defeated Problem Solving. Susannia Evans has been scattered on the ground.

(But does this really end?)

He had no basis for the doubt he felt. Everything went as well as could be expected. It should have been the perfect solution, but that was why he felt uneasy. All were different from Susannia compared to the other Problem Solvers. They did not see his magic in the Sea Crystal Magic Academy and had no information on how he fought. Careful planning had hardly been enough before this, but now they were forced to go their own way and make improvisations during battle. Like being thrown back into the nightmarish world of Grimnoah. They were helpless when they first fought the dinosaurs and the spear of light. They only managed to survive after seeing the magic, analyzing it from several points of view, and using a sudden attack.

But did they win easily this time?

This is the most powerful world that uses God worship magic with mechanization and it is finished? It's not easy at all, but is he really that weak that he can be defeated using such a plan? Can he really be called the strongest world like this?

No. gabe.

There's a bigger question.

Is God worship magic Susannia Evans really about mechanization?

"This composite armour is made of carbon, aramid, and fluorine-treated steel panels. This fiber optic cable may be used for signal transmission. No, it's possible for laser beam power transmission. But they use chloride glass? Then..."

The girls watched in bewilderment as Karuta stepped out from the dark crater of the ground and began to inspect the scattered trash.

"What's wrong with you? What's so interesting about all those ruins?"

"Is there some rare earths that are worth a lot of money? Ah!? Can you collect all the semiconductors in this device and fuse them to get a fair amount of pure gold? (Shaking, shaking.)"

"No, something's not right," he cut. "It is true that modern medicine can connect artificially severed muscles and nerves. Even the organs of the body can be replaced with mechanical devices to some extent. And it's all probably a lot easier when you can use magic to help. But the ruins scattered around here are still strange."

"Yeah, anyone can say this doesn't fit that body."

"I don't mean so. I'm talking about the materials used."

"Material?"

"Maybe for ordinary people." Marika did not seem to fully understand what she was trying to convey. "However, does it just mean he has a miracle to force himself through it?"

"Maybe, but it changes everything."

This is the core of his argument.

"Let's say Susannia Evans has a God-worshipping Magic that allows her to modify her entire body, fill it with dangerous materials, and fully suppress any kind of rejection. That means that his magic isn't about mechanizing or being a cyborg."

"Wait a minute, you mean ..."

"His God-worshipping magic is one that does not let him die. Or maybe it was the worship of God that caused his body to recover from all the wounds, both interior and exterior."

He took a breath and issued his final statement.

"What if the God Worship Magic Susannia Evans has is for regeneration?!"

In retrospect, the idea of mechanization never made sense.

Although you use large-scale agricultural machinery to cultivate deserts and wash salt from seawater, the sun-exposed soil will not easily become fertile. Even if it is filled with a fresh water supply, the soil must be well developed in order to contain the necessary nutrients and minerals. How did Susannia do it?

The answer is simple: he has sprinkled some form of nutrition throughout the vast desert.

For example, he could have chopped his own flesh blood. And incidentally, he had called the name Persephone, a god who, along with his mother, Demeter, was closely related to the spring harvest and winter famine.

What has been used to grow all the produce in the world? What is indirectly contained in the food they eat during this time?

But they did not resist the urge to vomit.

A snowflake slowly appeared behind Marika which made Marika surprised.

"Amine!!!" yelled the boy.

The crystal girl encouraged her curly-tailed childhood friend to step aside before something swept diagonally through the space. It was a hot sword similar to a gas stove. Aine could not dodge in time, so her slender left arm was severed at the elbow. The barrier formed by the spatial vibration field was useless. His arm spun in the air and fell into the snow. Either he has no fluid circulating his body or he "tightens" the tip of his stump because there is no bleeding.

And.

A red-haired woman emerged from the snow with something more like a rope than the piece of cloth that enveloped her. Is this the result and strength of his regeneration? The skin was tight and had a barely polished shine and no signs of scarring.

(This is after he was torn to shreds.)

Time seemed to stop, but Karuta still gulped.

(This is far beyond any ability that Magic Crystals are capable of. To what extent is his regeneration ability!)

"Susannia Evans!?"

“Ha ha.”

After being brushed aside, Marika was finally able to send out commands on a printed circuit board smaller than the stamps, arm her armor Crystal Blossom, and grab her rapier. Together with Aine who only had one arm, they attacked from two directions at once. Marika pierces with a sword made of laser or maser resulting from the vibration and excitation of the crystal.

Susannia's movement is far from perfection, but perhaps that is why she chose to become a mechanical cyborg. And he had used his regeneration ability to completely ignore the burden on his physical body.

He had lost his mechanical parts and was almost naked, so he only had one melee-burning sword to use. It was not enough to survive completely against Marika and Aine who had become incarnations of Crystal Magic. He received several powerful blows from the slashing streaks of light, resulting in his neck and body being sliced.

But that's not enough to stop him.

All of that is not important for Problem Solver that can regenerate.

He immediately recovered and continued the fight without fainting. No matter how much they sliced and dismembered him, he never stopped. It was enough to give the illusion that they were fighting against liquids, not solid objects.

When his one arm that dangled down only stayed half, he cut it off himself to trigger regeneration from its base.

He won't stop. Karuta doesn't know what they can do to win it. Could the strongest Problem Solvers in the world really be able to bend the rules of the world so far?

(Is there some core part like the brain or the heart? Was he supported by other objects such as magic circles or ritual artifacts? What should we destroy? What can we attack to end this!? Does the regeneration not have any rules that Crystal Magic must follow!?)

"What should we do?" ask Marika. "Retreat for now!?"

"Target currently only has melee weapons" Aine said. "If we fly into space to bomb it from a long distance, we should be able to attack it unilaterally."

"We don't know how much debris is strewn around here that he can still use! Don't give him freedom! We don't have a chance if he reconnects to his cyborg weapon. The tricks we use in aerial combat won't work anymore!!!"

Opening her own stomach without anesthesia to put dirty machines into her stomach while on the edge of a devastating air bomb attack was insane, but Susannia Evans was able to do it. If he can handle the pain, his regeneration will do the rest. He can survive even in the most absurd form of mechanization.

Karuta hates the fact that he can only watch because he himself has no special abilities.

"He was almost like a planarian. No, he's even worse!" said Marika. "We were lucky that the wound didn't bubble up and made many copies of it, but he regenerated too quickly!!!"

(Wait, planaria?)

He remembered a cruel experiment that was aired on a TV science program.

And it was something that could only be done with the extraordinary regeneration ability of planaria.

"Amor, Marika. I want to try something, so aim for his arm!"

"We've cut it many times!!"

"Don't cut it like that. Irises lengthwise!!!"

She no longer talked about the woman like a human, but Crystal Girl Aine automatically according to.

She swung her crystal sword to slice between the middle finger and ring finger of Susannia Evans' right arm which was braided and straight up to near the elbow. Instead of cutting off his arm, he opened it in the form of a failed V.

Susannia moved her other hand in response.

He intended to slice off his partially broken arm with an incendiary sword. He's done this before.

"Marica!!"

As she screamed, the rapier Marika pierced through Susannia's left hand to pin her down.

"Kh, fuck you!!"

For the first time.

For the first time ever, the face of Problem Solver has changed.

And a moment later, regeneration began with a wet sound.

A split V shape on his right arm cannot reconnect. Instead, his two right arms grew from his elbow.

"There are cruel experiments that you can do using planarian regeneration abilities," Karuta said. "If you damage a part of their body instead of cutting their body completely, another body will emerge from the cut off part. And that doesn't just apply to the main body. Cut off the head, and two heads will grow, including the brain. Although I don't know if it means your personality - or whatever you call a mind set - is copied or whether it's more like having two brains in the same body."

The same thing happened here.

Susannia's regeneration is so incredibly good that they can take advantage of it.

Defeating him was impossible

Same as killing him.

But there was a way to end the battle and keep him alive even though they didn't really take his life.

"Marika, Aine." The avenger again issued a cold statement. "Don't cut anything. It could be her arms, legs, body, neck, or head, but cut her off while keeping her attached like a child trying to cut some groceries the first time you cook! That would turn it into nothing more than a lump of meat. Throw his soul into a flesh prison where he would never be able to move of his own accord!!!"
