Waiting for Raffa

At night, Aditya's father accidentally calls Kai to go home. The middle-aged man decided to tell Jennie everything tonight, He didn't want to delay anymore.

"What's Dad calling Kai home ?" ask Kai who just arrived.

"Sit down first !" aditya's father said, "today I decided to tell Jennie everything, about her biological parents, about her current state of being pregnant" Aditya's father continued.

"Did you think about it ?"

Aditya's father nodded in response to his son's question.

"But Well, Jennie's condition hasn't improved. Kai's afraid that if he drops back after knowing everything, Kai doesn't want anything to happen to Jennie and my baby-to-be Well"

Aditya's father could see his son's worried-looking face. But it's the right decision to tell the truth, he doesn't want to make the same mistake.

"Dad's decision has been unanimous" he said.

"But what if-" Kai's speech was interrupted when he saw Mother Maryam and Jennie walking towards the living room. His heart trembled again when he saw the woman he loved, there was a longing in his heart after three days of not meeting.

Jennie and Maryam's mother sat on the sofa, Mother Maryam was so happy to see the presence of her son, while Jennie was just downcast.

"Darling, are you ready to hear the story about your parents ?" ask Mother Maryam slowly.

Jennie who was asked was still silent. Soon he straightened his head and nodded, "Jennie is ready" he replied confidently.

"Pa and Mommy previously apologized for hiding this all for so long" Aditya's father said in a sad tone. The middle-aged man then explained how close he was to both of Jennie's biological parents. Aditya's father tells of both of his biological parents who were so happy when Jennie was born. He also told how his parents could die in a terrible accident.

"Lucky that time you survived, Father and Mother are very grateful because God still gives you a chance to live. At that time Father decided to adopt you and Father's decision was not wrong. Your presence makes our family so happy, we feel this family has been very complete since Father raised you as an adopted daughter. But-" Aditya's father was silent for a moment, this time he couldn't hold back his tears.

"But happiness only lasts a year. Father and Mother are sad again when you are sentenced to suffer from heart disease. Our happiness seems to be collapsing. We don't want to lose you, we love you very much. Dad and Mommy did everything so you could survive, we gave all our affection to forget about Kai" explained Aditya's father made Jennie and Mother Maryam sobbing.

Hearing Aditya's father's explanation makes Jennie's stuffing stop. He looked at Kai who was also staring at him.

"So is that why Kai hates Jennie ?" jennie's guman asked.

Aditya's father again explained that Jennie could return to health after getting a heart donor at the age of four.

Jennie again sobbed, the woman now felt mixed feelings. He felt sad because he was abandoned by his parents. But He was also moved by the affection He had from Aditya's Father and Maryam's Mother, though He was only an adopted child but He could feel such great affection from them.

Aditya's father stood up and sat down next to Jennie, hugging the body of his adopted daughter warmly. Not staying silent Mother Maryam also clutched Jennie's body. The three hugged each other while sobbing.

Kai threw away his face. The man was reluctant to see the sad scene so as not to dissolve in sadness not because he was jealous of Jennie. The feeling of jealousy was no longer in his heart, but now he was very grateful because his parents loved the woman he loved so much.

"Mother, Dad, thank you for loving Jennie with all your heart" Jennie said between tears.

"No need to thank you, Indeed it has become our duty as your parents Son" said Aditya's father took off his embrace and rubbed Jennie's head gently.

Meli went back to the mini market where Raffa worked. He wanted to thank the man for lending him the jacket.

"Yes mbak, incidentally Raffa mas again in the warehouse to unload goods" said the cashier, "sorry if you can know, mbak no need what yes ?" ask the woman to Meli.

"I have a need with Raffa. But if busy let me just wait outside" said Meli. He felt bad to disturb Raffa's busyness. He finally decided to wait in his car.

While inside the warehouse Raffa was so busy unpacking old goods and arranging new goods in. Almost eleven o'clock in the evening, his work was finally done. The man went into the toilet to clean the part of his body that felt plastered with a lot of dust.

"Mas Raffa was looking for it" the cashier told Raffa.

"Who ?" tanyanya's confused.

"No idea, the point is that the woman said there was business with Raffa mas. When I said Raffa was busy, he just said he would wait outside" explained the cashier.

"Why not just call me ? If it matters how ?"

Raffa walked outside but found no woman sitting or standing waiting for him.

"Nobody" He muran, He still circulates his gaze but all He gets is a parking car in front. He finally decided to enter because he found no one. As he was about to enter, Raffa was startled by the screams of a woman who was so loud.

"Raffa... Wait a minute !" meli shouted running towards Raffa.

Raffa was shocked after seeing the owner of the voice. He wondered why Meli was here when the night was so late. Is it possible that his friend said earlier was Meli ? But why is the woman looking for him ?.

"Why are you here ?" raffa asked with a frown.

"It... I want to return your jacket" Meli replied. The woman poked the paper bag at Raffa.

Raffa took the paper bag and opened it, sure enough it was a jacket that he had loaned a few days ago. He looked at Meli who was smiling sweetly at him.

"Is this all you want to give back ?" asked Raffa who was embraced by Meli, "if only to return this jacket, why wait until this hour ?" raffa asked and then showed me the watch on the wrist.

"Actually I was here this afternoon to return your things but your friend said you went in the night so I decided to come back here the other night."

"You came here this afternoon ?" raffa asked and again Meli nodded while throwing her sweet smile, "but why come here again at midnight like this ?" Raffa was inexhaustible with the woman in front of him daring to come out on his own.

"No, I'm here from eight o'clock but-"

"What did you say ? Eight o'clock at night ? You waited for me that long just to return the jacket ?" cut Raffa.

Meli nodded making Raffa exhale slowly.
