In the evening there was a ceremony to send prayers to Mang Aa. Residents around the neighborhood where Mang Aa lived came to meet the invitation of Aunt Kurnia. Some of Mang Aa's friends were also present.
Bagas, Doni and Ahmad helped Aunt Kurnia prepare an additional place because the invited guests who came exceeded the capacity. Fortunately, Sari's grandfather's house is spacious enough to accommodate the excess of guests who come.
"I'm so crazy that many people come to Gas, feel like they're managing the marriage situation!" mishik Ahmad.
"Yes the great Mang Aa, he is a good person from the many who come to visit from morning until night like this." said Bagas while continuing to pay attention to the guests who began to fill the place provided.
"Don, how is there anything less than a mat in the chair?" ask Bagas to Doni who came near him.
"How much, eh Gas Sari where from the morning he hasn't eaten worry me?!" Doni did not realize his words made Bagas look at himself sharply.
Ahmad who was no less surprised immediately raised his head to Doni made him realize.
"Astaghfirullah, forget I'm Gas!" Doni patted his own eel realizing the silliness he had just made.
"Mostly, Don? You keep going on Don's khilaf, I'm still this patient!"
"Well, Gas, weigh it when Sari has eaten yet? It's just angry, Sari's heart is also only for Lo doang! 85% Lo 15% me, pretty little bit!" suhut Doni by raising his eyebrows next to teasing Bagas.
The upset Bagas could only stroke the chest considering that many people who had come did not allow himself to vent anger at Doni.
A car numbered Jakarta police came into the courtyard of the house of Aunt Kurnia. A couple and two other men got out of the car. Doni greeted them kindly. They are the parents of Sari, Barend Janssen Van Leeuwen and Adeline Van Leeuwen.
"Goedenavond oom en aunt." greet Doni kindly.
(Good night om and aunt)
"Doni ook goedenacht, who knows Dutch now? " reply mom Adeline makes Doni blush.
(good night, too, Doni)
"Just a little Auntie, good night other prayers have not been able to" replied Doni grinning.
"A little too good. Auntie come in first, we'll talk again. A lot of people want Aunt to talk to you about?!"
"Ready Aunt."
Mom Adeline and her husband Barend Janssen go inside to see Sari her daughter and other extended family.
"Come." Mom Adeline greeted Sari who was sitting with Aunt Kurnia, she looked very happy to find Mom Adeline arrived on time.
"Mom, Sari mis je, bedankt voor je komst zo snel mogelijk!"
(Mom, Sari kangen .. thanks for coming as soon as possible.)
"Mama and je ook lieverd. Wij boeken direct de snelste vlucht to Jakarta."
(Mom misses you too, baby. We direct the fastest flight to Jakarta.)
"Mom, sorry Sari yes …"
He calmed Sari who was still shaken. Dad Barend immediately joined the others as the event was about to start, as well as the two Dutchmen who were with him.
The tahlilan event went well, Aunt Eka still sobbing on the interruption of prayer readings as well as Aunt Kurnia. Mom Adeline strengthened Aunt Eka by staying with her during the event.
One by one the invited guests left the empty room that looked gloomy with the sadness of its residents. Abandoned by loved ones is not easy, it takes strength and sincerity to accept it. Moreover, the departure of Mang Aa happened suddenly and very tragic.
They gathered at the pendopo sitting together just unwind and chatting lightly with the parents of Sari who long did not return to Indonesia.
"Sorry you didn't have time to welcome Adel's mom." Aunt Eka opened the chat with mom Adeline in a weak voice, she was still in shock with Mang Aa's death.
"You're indeed my official to be welcomed? You who are sincere, must be patient and strong. It's quiet there."
Mom Adeline tried to calm her haggard-looking, puffy-eyed sister-in-law.
In Abah Ibrahim's family, Adeline's mother was the eldest daughter followed by Aunt Kurnia and Mang Aa as the youngest child. As the only son of the family Ibrahim mang Aa is often used as a protector for his two older sisters. Their very close relationship was maintained even after they were married and separated by distance.
"Who can you tell if Ade doesn't exist?" ask Aunt Kurnia
"Hendra, luckily we got the fastest flight and no weather constraints."
"Make sure jetlag take a break first mbak, tomorrow we can talk again." suggested Aunt Kurnia on mom Adeline.
"Lumayan, soon still miss the same Sari." said the middle-aged beautiful woman while hugging her only daughter.
Dad Barend who sat next to Sari also rubbed his daughter's head gently. "Father and zo erg."
(Dad misses you so much.)
"Ook day, ik hou van papa." Sari hugged Dad Barend tightly.
(Sari too, I love Dad)
Seeing Sari who was letting go of longing for her parents made Doni act again,
"Hadeh Sar, Lo play hug so I also want to be hugged. Mom Adeline can Doni ask for a hug, miss mom in the village?!"
"Heem, look for opportunities in this narrowness of a child." Bagas quipped with his sarcastic tone.
"Wrong Gas, the opportunity in the public fund so that it can be asked a little. Like a future-in-law!" sahut Doni while sticking out his tongue made Bagas growled.
Mom Adeline laughed at Doni's words as well as the others. But their laughter came to a halt with the arrival of someone unexpected.
"Mom, is there a guest outside he said important?!" One of Aunt Kurnia's house assistants told her.
"Who's bi?"
"Say his name is Mr. Adit, want to meet with Sari and Mang Aa."
" … "
