Awkward Occurrence
Zhao Jian took a walk to the flower garden near the Cloud Turtle Royal Palace accompanied by the Two Eunuchs and the Three Young Warriors, while Jiang Ruo chose to cultivate inside the room.
Zhao Jian was puzzled as to why the atmosphere in the palace remained quiet and neither Prince Fang Han nor Princess Fang Zening invited him to discuss about the attitude taken by the Cloud Turtle Kingdom about the takeover Gui Dao them by the Jiang Empire.
“Is the Cloud Turtle Kingdom facing political turmoil? About the King is willing to surrender or will do no resistance, huh?” zhao Jian asked Eunuch Ma who was accompanying him.

Zhao Jian was surprised to see a man looking pale and next to him was the corpse of a woman tied with a stone large enough that the woman drowned in the well.
The Cloud Turtle Kingdom Court Officer interrogated the Man who was the Soldier on vacation. However, as he dived into the lake to catch fish he suddenly found the woman's corpse.
Zhao Jian was surprised to hear that if the woman's death was blamed on the Dragon Troop then his plan to persuade the Cloud Turtle Kingdom to surrender without taking up arms would be constrained.
He guessed that this might be the work of the Dragon Army of the Hua Clan or a military spy. However, it did not rule out the possibility that there were internal parties of the Cloud Turtle Kingdom who deliberately did so because they did not want King Fang Zihao to just give up without putting up a fight first.
“Has this female killer been revealed, Uncle?” zhao Jian asked as he cupped his fists to show some respect.
However, the Cloud Turtle Kingdom Court Officer frowned as he looked at Zhao Jian. “You who? Get away from here!” He immediately waved away Zhao Jian.
“D-he is Judge Jian the envoy of another Gui Dao!” eunuch Ma immediately nervously feared that Zhao Jian would get angry and kill the Court Officer.

Zhao Jian just smiled and did not speculate who the culprit was, because all he wanted right now was to make sure the Dragon Troops were not involved in the case.
