Chp 72: Strange Nature

Han Yu could not stay in this cave, he could starve to death if he was here too long and there was no guarantee that the demon queen would save him.

Han Yu was determined, he while packing Qia's unconscious body for some time while holding his sword which he wrapped with his fire element.

This cave is quite humid and Han Yu thought that this cave could have been a link of springs in the mountain with the area at the foot of the mountain, fortunately now not yet the rainy season.

The more Han Yu stepped through the cave he could feel the faint sound of water, water was a sign of life so Han Yu decided to speed up his pace.

But even though Han Yu had not reached the source of the water sound for a long time, he thought that the water source was getting closer to him.

Han Yu took a breath and threw it away, trying to brace himself to get to the source of the water. It feels very far away even though it sounds close.

Han Yu ran after the light in front of him that was getting brighter as Han Yu got closer to him, his breathing felt stalled and his legs became limp.

In his shadow there would be at least sunlight and also a river that could at least be used as a resting place, but Han Yu instead found something different.

There are fireflies that are larger than those in the outside world which are quite a lot and also the deep black river water from here has smelled a foul smell.

Han Yu could see the surrounding conditions were not supportive let alone the fireflies here seemed to be watching them, Han Yu rushed into the cave again.

Han Yu became frustrated, as if he was between two dangerous places. In a moment of confusion, suddenly the ring given by Cia Changyi glowed.

The light from the ring came out and became like a flying marble and then moved to the other side of this cave, with his instinct Han Yu followed the light thinking that it must be a favor of Cia Changyi.

There was another side of this cave covered by vines, Han Yu opened the vines after the light penetrated through it and a scene was seen by Han Yu.

Han Yu was relieved, it was fortunate that he received help from his teacher so that he could be shown the correct place in this cave. But Han Yu remained vigilant as this was still a mountain area.

Han Yu sat Qia under a tree while Han Yu headed to the river, after being convinced that the river water was harmless, Han Yu decided to take a bath there.

After taking a bath he changed his clothes, when Han Yu turned around he already found Qia who was beginning to wake up. Han Yu approached Qia to ask her how she was doing.

"How are you? You had passed out for hours you must be hungry," said Han Yu, he also thrust a bowl of soup made by Han Yu from environmental materials.

Qia who had just regained consciousness from her stings immediately received the soup from Han Yu without a second thought, she also felt very hungry and needed the intake for now.

"Thank you for helping me? I wonder why you would help me when if you let me then you could have won this competition" said Qia in astonishment.

"It's not that simple, the demon queen made a group for sure because the monsters in this mountain region are parasitic so we have to build cooperation in this round. I'm not interested in this competition anyway, I just don't want to be disqualified in the sect competition for being killed" Han Yu explained.

Qia was speechless, she understood Han Yu's intentions. Qia was confused as to what to do because she also could not have the necklace of life even though she won the competition from the demon queen.

"I think I should help this girl, count in return," inner Qia who looked at the figure of Han Yu who had saved her.

Although Qia did not die despite being killed by the monsters but still it was painful earlier and now her body is better and her clothes have changed.

"Eh, I'm sorry that your clothes were tattered so I changed my clothes, just calm down that new clothes I bought yesterday night so I haven't worn it yet" said Han Yu.

"Yes thank you, I will wash it and then I return it to you, you from the moon mountain right," said Qia, who was adopted by Han Yu.

"All right, now we have to go down this road. We must be more careful because the parasites on this mountain are very dangerous" said Han Yu.

"Yes, I think we should go there. I happen to go up and down the mountain so I know some signs of nature" said Qia who then guided Han Yu to the top of the mountain.

Finally they went down the river, occasionally they fought monsters but not as dangerous as in the beginning made Han Yu and Qia feel confused.

For example there was a group of goblins that could be easily slashed by the sword, seeing this Han Yu still did not reduce his vigilance because this sense of security could be a falsehood.

There was a hut by the river, seeing that made Han Yu feel interested to go inside. Qia was just following Han Yu even though she felt bad.

"This looks like an abandoned hut, I think this used to be the residence of the golbin we killed earlier," said Qia who saw the condition of the hut that is very suitable for the residence of the goblin.

"Surprisingly, I smell something unusual from this cauldron. It looks like it's poison" Han Yu said, for some reason he thought so. Qia who was paying attention to the cauldron also realized something.

"Oh I know, along the way I saw plants that I know are poisonous in the outside world I didn't expect in nature to be equally toxic but stronger. I think the monsters here eat plants not just meat, causing them to become weak" Qia said.

"It feels strange why there are poisonous plants eaten by monsters here, maybe this is the reason why the natural conditions here are different from when we were at the foot of the mountain" said Han Yu.

Though suspicious, they have no explanation at all.
