Brooke's Priority

Brooke's Priority
Chapter 17's

“How dare you call me that!”

Fanita yelled back at me.

He doesn't know if he's talking about fighting, nobody can beat me.

“I did call you that. Need I repeat?” I tried to put on the most annoying face. “Ah, true too. Are you jealous of my dress?”

“Gaun?” Fanita glared at me. “You're crazy?”

“No.” I laughed at him. “Aren't you crazier hoping to win than someone wearing a dress? Damn it.”

Accept it.

I feel like I gave him a big blow.

“I didn't expect you to have a trash mouth,” Fanita then looked at me with a sharp look for not accepting my words. “Who told you to come in a dress? You think this is the place to have tea and chat?”

I wouldn't have worn it either if it wasn't for Grace. These are the twin clothes we bought together. Grace said with big round eyes that glowed for me to wear them as a form of good luck charm. And my clothes are dirty now.

Alex then appeared before I could reply to Fanita's words. His appearance made a deep silence as he stared at everyone like he was shooting lasers from his eyes.

“What are you guys doing?” alex asked as he walked towards me.

“I was giving her a valuable lesson,” replied Fanita while following the direction of Alex's gaze that was only on me.

“You've gone too far.”

“Trail?”

I feel like they're going to fight soon.

“Alex,” call me. “He did teach me a lesson.” I looked at Fanita's face and smiled. “Usually people talk about themselves. You know what I mean, pointing to himself. He just confirmed that he's mouthed trash.”

Apparently, Fanita had never interacted with anyone who had a sharper tongue than her.

Compared to Fanita and the other students who were surprised to hear my words, Alex laughed and covered her mouth with her left elbow. I looked at him with a strange look.

“Free I worry about you,” Alex said.

He crouched down and showed me his back. “Let me take you to the clinic. Your hand is injured.”

I saw my right hand being scratched by falling to the ground.

He's romantic too.

Alex made me not have the heart to reject her offer and let myself be carried by her. I looked for Lucas' whereabouts and finally met his eyes. Lucas really let me fight Fanita. I'm a little disappointed. I hope Lucas does what Alex does now.

“Alex!” Fanita yelled annoyedly at Alex who was already holding me.

“Do not disturb him again,” Alex said coldly. Fanita said nothing afterwards.

Only Haley followed me and Alex to the clinic. Alex didn't say anything until we got to the clinic.

I took a long breath.

“His nature is really unbelievable.”

Alex is preparing a wound and cotton swab. “Your nature is also problematic. You forgot?”

“No,” I replied lazily. I don't need to know that from Alex, who I think has a problematic nature, either. He's not friendly to everyone. My first impression was also bad for her.

“Do you think Lucas is not too cruel? He obviously let me. He's not here either. He pisses me off.”

Alex shakes his head. “Shut up a minute. I'll put this down, so hold on a little.”

My hands feel sore.

“How could he behave like that to his sister? I didn't think it out. Previously he cared so much for me with his worried face,”.

“It was your own fault,” Alex covered my wound with a bandage. “She was traumatized to see you pass out covered in blood. He just wants to make sure you know the real state of this place.”

“I also have a reasoning. I already know.”

I fully understand the meaning of the words Alex spoke.

“Yes, I believe you know,” Alex said. “Stop complaining. You look pathetic.”

Alex took a wet towel and gave it to me.

I just realized my face was dirty to the ground.

“Lucas is only worried. Just chill. Seeing you as fearless as before will make him think that you will be fine in the future. Try not to look for problems with others anytime soon.”

I'm not a troublemaker. I was just often hooked.

“Thank you.”

Alex looked at me in amazement. “You can already say thank you.”

“Serah,” I continue no matter. “She's Fanita isn't she? The only female student here.”

Alex nodded.

Count Cassius had no sons.

“He will be the successor in his family?”

Alex does not know. “There are no rules that allow that. But do not rule out the possibility.”

Hmm, interesting. If Count Cassius were to apply for a female successor in his family, there would be a way for me to obtain the post independently.

That way, the sixth priority is a possible thing to do. Obtaining a position or position that has nothing to do with marriage. What makes my situation different from Fanita is that I have an older brother. There is no doubt that he is the successor in my family.

“What if Lucas refuses?” muttered.

I need power to protect my family. It doesn't matter if the power isn't as strong as you have. What I need is the power that makes my voice count in policy-making.

“Lucas? Lucas refused what?” Alex asked with a curious face. “What are you thinking?”

“I'm curious. If your brother refuses to be the successor of your family, what is the most likely reason?”

“What kind of question is it?”

“I'm curious,” I said.

“Making her marry this Royal Princess?”

The king has no princess.

“Can you be serious a little?” my annoyance.

“There is no other choice but to make my father choose one among us.”

In the end it has to be like that.

I'll try to think of another solution. I also think taking Duke's position from Lucas was a bad move. I just haven't decided which influential position has had a big impact on me.

“Talking about my curiosity, why did you disappear after kissing my forehead, Alex?”

I saw Alex's face start to blush. He turned his face away and intended to stand up from his seat. I immediately restrained him by placing both of my hands on the handle of the chair.

He couldn't have thought I wouldn't ask, did he?

“You....,” Alex stammered as I began to bring my face closer.

“I'm just curious,” obviously. “You like me?”

“Who likes you? I'm not crazy,” Alex quickly refuted it.

I took my hand off the chair.

Alex immediately stood behind me after pretending to fix his fine-looking clothes. Then he said, “You're just curious and I just answered him.”

In Ho once told me that not liking means really liking if refuted quickly. If I'm not mistaken it was when he planned to declare love to our junior high school (we're one school).

“OK,” sahutku. “I also just think of you as Lucas Oppa,” I said with a bit of guilt.

How else would you like? I do think of it that way.

“Guide me around. I haven't seen all the places.”

Alex agreed to my request.
