Chapter 2 - Agreeing to Marriage

Maudy ran in search of the hospital room that cared for her father, looking as if the middle-aged man was lying limp in the hospital gurney.

"Dad!" Maudy walked over to the man who had cared for her since childhood.

"Maudy, come here!" call lirih.

"Yes, Dad."

"Include this Mr. Tian and his wife," Rama directed his gaze to the two middle-aged people who were to the left of his bed.

Maudy smiled slightly and slightly lowered her head.

"It turns out Zayn's wife-to-be is very pretty, Pa." Praise Tian's wife Dinda.

"What Papa says is true" he whispered in his wife's ear.

Dinda nodded.

"When did he and I get married?" Zayn suddenly spoke.

The view is now on the man with a height of 180 cm.

"You can't wait, yeah!" Dinda smiled seductively.

"Yes, Ma." Answer the original Zayn.

"I'm up to the Rama family when they'll release their daughter for Zayn" Tian said.

"We will soon marry Maudy to Zayn" Rama spoke.

"I haven't agreed to it, Dad," Maudy shook her head, not expecting her father to make a unilateral decision.

"Follow Mother!" Vienna pulled her daughter's hand out of her husband's room.

"What's up, Mom?" maudy asked when they were outside the room.

"You don't want your father to linger in the hospital, do you?"

"No, Ma."

"Therefore you must comply with our request" said Vienna.

"But, Mum. Marriage is not something to play around with."

"Be assured, Zayn will love you for a long time" Vienna assured.

"What if it doesn't?"

"Have you ever heard of people who part, at first they love each other?"

Maudy nodded slowly.

"Not always a marriage that begins with dislike will end in separation."

"But I'm scared."

"Fear, why?"

"I'm afraid my husband is rude" Maudy replied

"If he dares to violence you, tell us. Mom's gonna break that nose!"

"Alright, Mom. I agreed to marry her for your sake" Maudy said resignedly.

Vienna pulled the tip of her lips, "Thank you!"

Both returned to the hospital room.

"Hm.... Maudy agreed to marry Zayn" Vienna said.

The man pulled the right corner of his lips.

Both of Zayn's parents seemed happy to hear it.

"When do you want to get married?" ask Dinda to Maudy.

"Just up, Auntie and Om." Maudy lowered her face as if she wanted to cry.

"Front month only!" sahut Zay.

"Yes, next month," Tian chimed in.

"After I get out of the hospital, we'll talk about it again" Rama said.

"Yes, today I will pay off your debt" Tian said.

"Thank you very much Tian," Rama displayed his happy smile.

"Together," Tian returned his smile.

Two days later....

Zayn's family came to visit Rama's house, they were going to talk about marriage.

"Maudy, what kind of wedding do you want?" ask Dinda.

"Whatever, Auntie." Maudy forced a smile.

"Why do you always answer it up to you, it's your wedding?" ask Dinda again.

"I'm confused, Auntie. All the concepts offered in this magazine are good, all" Maudy replied.

"Oh, that's why you answer it is up to you" Dinda smiled.

"We'll go with you, we're sure what the Zayn family is doing is best!" vienna Sahut.

Zayn kept looking at Maudy who was always looking down.

"Of course, we want our only son's wedding to be extravagant" Dinda said.

"What is the decision of Aunt and Om, I will accept" said Maudy.

"All right," Dinda said.

After Zayn's family returned home, Maudy returned to the office.

"Where are you going?" ask Vienna.

"To the office, Mom."

"Next night you meet Zayn at the restaurant on XY Street."

"Make what, Mom?"

"You and Zayn will meet the people who handle your marriage."

"Alright, Mom. Later I go there, I go to work, yes" he said to Vienna and also Rama.

Maudy smiled then ran over and hugged him. "How are you?" irascible.

"Well, chatty girl!"

"Why didn't you say you were going home?"

"I want to surprise you!"

Maudy loosened her arms. "And you managed to deliver that surprise!"

The man laughed.

"What if we chat over lunch?" maudy.

"May too" he answered.

While in that place, camera shots photographed the moment the two embraced each other.

Riding in the man's car, the two went to a nearby restaurant.

"How are your parents?" ask a man named Aldo, when they arrive at the restaurant.

"Yesterday I was in the hospital."

"What pain?"

"Heart attack."

"Gosh my god."

"The business that our family had went into bankruptcy, I couldn't afford to pay the bank's debts and pay the employees."

"Is Uncle Rama well?"

"It."

"Thank God," Aldo smiled with relief.

"Yes, for obeying their request."

"meaning?"

"Both of my parents wanted marriage."

"So you're getting married soon?"

"Yes." Yeah."

Aldo looked surprised.

"I'm going to marry the son of a father's best friend, they've helped us pay off the entire debt."

"So, you were forced to marry?"

"Yes." Yeah."

"You can cancel now!"

"Can't, Aldo. Housing construction has also been running, they provide financial assistance to complete the project."

"Why didn't you tell me?"

"I don't want to trouble you" he replied.

"We've been friends from childhood. What's wrong this time I'm helping you?"

"There's nothing wrong, Aldo. It's all my decision" Maudy replied forcing a smile.

"Hopefully, you are happy with your marriage!" hope Aldo.

"Hopefully!"

Maudy runs into a restaurant, where she looks for Zayn. And sure enough, the man was still waiting for him.

"Sorry, I'm late!" Maudy said while adjusting her breathing.

"You're an hour late, they just got home ten minutes ago!" Zayn did not stare but his voice was very cold.

"In the office it was a little bit of a problem, so I was late to come here and I didn't have your mobile number either" Maudy explained.

"What did you really say Maudy Aletta?" He lifted his face and looked at the woman sitting in front of him.

"Yes, I'm serious if there was a problem in the office."

"Isn't it because of being alone with a man?"

Maudy frowned.

"Are you going to hug every guy you meet?"

"You're spying on me?" Maudy looked unhappy.

"Yes, because you're my future wife so I need to know everything about you."

"You take it easy, if we get married I'll devote my life to you!"

"It should!"

"There's nothing to talk about anymore, I'm going home!"

"Yes, please."

Maudy quickly walked out of the restaurant, but her stomach was hungry.

Riding his car, he looked for food vendors who often held his field on the side of the road.

Maudy finally pulled his vehicle over to the chicken noodle seller, he got down and approached the old man who sold the food.

Finished ordering the chicken noodles and wrapped, Maudy had to cross back to her car lot in the parking lot.

When he was about to cross, a motor almost nudged his body and the reflex of the chicken noodle package he was holding fell.

Rebellious in face, Maudy turns between angry, sad and upset into one.

"Let me replace it!"
