Chapter 26 - I Want to Get Back to You

Zayn ran up to his wife's gurney, holding Maudy's hand. He had a panicked face and was worried about him.

Maudy grimaced in pain holding her stomach.

"Who's her husband?" ask the nurse before entering the ER room.

"Me, Sister!" answer Zayn.

Fahri wants to prevent his brother-in-law from approaching Maudy but Rama forbids him.

"Please enter!"

Zayn walked over to his wife who was crying. Zayn continued to wipe the tears with his fingers.

"Zayn, sick!" Maudy said while crying.

"Calm down, everything's gonna be okay!" Zayn kissed the back of his wife's hand.

Doctors began examining Maudy and her future baby.

Zayn slightly moved away from the gurney with a panicked and anxious face.

The doctor said to Zayn, "We have to remove the fetus!"

"No!" resist Maudy out loud in her pain.

"Do whatever's best, Doc. As long as my wife survives" Zayn said.

"I want my son to be safe, Doc!" Maudy kept crying.

Zayn approached his wife and stroked her hair, "Calm down!"

"How can I calm down? They want to throw my baby away!" his sobs.

"This is for your safety, Maudy!" zayn's tears came.

"He must survive, Zayn!" begingly.

"Miss, relax. We're gonna try to save you both" the doctor corroborated Maudy.

"You must save him!" the door in a high voice.

"Yes, Miss."

Zayn sat on the patient bench with his parents Maudy and Fahri.

Zayn lowered his head while twitching his temple.

A nurse approached Zayn asking for the man's signature.

Zayn then put his signature on.

Zayn sat back down and his tears came back.

Dinda and her husband came to the hospital, both of whom quickly walked over to their son.

Zayn saw the presence of Mama Dinda rushing to hug him. "What's going on?"

Zayn hugged his mother and cried. "I'm sorry, Ma!"

Dinda pushed her son's body slowly.

"I chose Maudy to stay alive" he said sobbing.

"You mean our future grandchildren didn't survive?" tanya Dinda.

"We pray that Maudy and the child she contains are safe and sound" said Rama, approaching his wife and son because he had received an explanation of his besieging.

Dinda cupped Zayn's face that was not stopping crying. "All will be well, your wife and children will be safe!" strengthening her son with tears.

Zayn nodded.

Almost 30 minutes wait finally one of the medical team came out and gave the news. "Operation went well. Mother and baby are safe."

The entire Zayn and Maudy family breathed a sigh of relief and gave thanks.

"Miss Maudy is still under the influence of drugs" said the doctor.

The family listened and confirmed every word the doctor said.

Zayn first saw and held Maudy's baby because he was her real father.

The man looked at the baby's tiny face and then gave a short kiss on the cheek. "Beautiful!" Sluggishly.

"In a moment we'll meet mama" spoke to her daughter.

Maudy is now in the in-room, her daughter carried by Vienna. The whole family was so happy with the birth of the little baby.

"Where's Zayn, Mom?"

"After seeing your baby, he went nowhere" replied Vienna.

"My two in-laws?"

"They go home, come back here again tomorrow morning."

"Why did Zayn leave?" ask slowly.

"Mom doesn't know, either, son."

"Zayn chose me to survive this child. Does he hate our baby?"

"Zayn said so."

"Yes, Mom. Zayn begged the doctor to do what was best for me."

"It means Zayn does love you" said Vienna.

"But, why would he want to throw our baby away?"

"Because to save you," replied Vienna.

A week passed, Zayn did not show the trunk of his nose makes Maudy more homesick.

Her little daughter cried, Maudy hugged her and gave ASI.

"Darling, stop crying!" coaxing baby.

"You want to see papa, huh?"

"Mama already asked Oma and Opa where is your papa but they didn't tell him."

The baby was crying incessantly.

"We're going to find your papa!"

Maudy lifted her head. "Zay!"

The baby girl was silent when she heard the voice of the father.

"Sorry, I just visited you again!" Zayn sat down on the side of the bed.

"Why go?"

"I don't want you to misunderstand me" replied Zayn.

"I want to go back to you!"

Zayn laughed.

"Why laugh? You think I'm not serious?"

"Why have you changed? Oh, I know for a fact that you want my family's treasure, yes!"

"Zay!" snarl.

Zayn laughed again and kissed his wife on the forehead and said, "I don't care about the land and the company anymore, for me you are the most beautiful treasure I have besides my parents."

Maudy crying haru.

"I want to carry it."

"He's suckling again, wait 'yes!"

Zayn whispered in his wife's ear, "I want too!" he then looked at Maudy's face wanting to see her expression.

Maudy scrunched her eyes.

"Alright, I'll wait until you're ready" Zayn smiled jail.

Maudy replied with a smile as well.

"Have you given him a name?"

"Not yet."

"I'm waiting for you to give it to me."

"You waiting for me?"

"Yes, you're the father."

"Thank you" Zayn smiled happily and hugged his wife.

"Zayn, pity him!"

Zayn loosened his embrace, "Sorry, beautiful!" look at the baby and then kiss her forehead.

Maudy finished breastfeeding, "I'm going to the bathroom, please take care of her!" put his daughter in bed.

"Let me drive!" Zayn stood up, extending his hand.

Maudy clasped her husband's hand and got up from her seat.

"I'm sorry, as long as you're pregnant I'm not always by your side" Zayn said.

"But when I gave birth, you were with me even if you had to wait outside" Maudy recalled.

"I'm not ready to lose him" Zayn said.

"And finally he was born into the world safely" Maudy continued.

"You are the most beautiful gift for me" said Zayn.

Maudy smiled too.

Zayn took his wife to the bathroom, then he rushed to the bed to chat with his baby.

"Hi, pretty. Sorry Papa, yes!"

"Papa really misses you but there are many mistakes that Papa has done to you and your mama."

"You're not angry, are you with Papa?"

"Aren't you angry?"

"Thank God you're not angry."

"Who would you like to name, huh?"

"What if your name is Nadine?"

"Do you like it?"

"I like it!" Maudy replied.

Zayn.

Maudy smiled, "I love that name."

"Thank you for accepting that name" Zayn said.

"Together, Zayn."

"When are you coming home with me?"

"Where are you going home?"

"Apartment."

"I don't want to be there."

"My place is there."

"How about we stay in the house that Fahri bought?"

"The house is yours."

"I'll sell it back to you" Maudy said.

"No, Dy. Let it be yours" said Zayn.

"But you have to come back to that house with me and Nadine."

Zayn nodded.

Maudy smiled happily.

"I want to go back to the office" said Zayn.

"Later to sleep here, yeah!"

"Did Brother Fahri allow me here?"

"I'm sure he'll let you in here."
