Chapter 5 To The City

Early in the morning, this time Merrik woke up at 06:00 he was already sitting on the terrace breathing the morning air. Today Elena did not trade, only made breakfast for Merrik, after which she prepared to go to school to take a diploma. He exited the house, surprised to see Merrik sitting on the terrace. "Sister is up? I think I'm still sleeping."

Merrik looked at Elena from top to bottom. So young and beautiful. "Where are you going?"

"I'm going to school today, I'm getting a diploma. I'm leaving first, huh, brother? I've made breakfast for Brother inside." Elena left Merrik. However, his steps came to a halt as Merrik called out to him.

"Elena!" Call Merrik.

"I'm coming along." Merrik got up from his seat.

"Aren't you going to come with me to school?"

"No, I'm just dropping you off. I want to go around."

They went to school, all the way there was no chatter between them. Until we get to Elena's school gate. "I'm in, yeah, Ka." Merrik just nodded his head.

Elena went inside the school gate not long before her friends came to her, they laughed loosely and joked. Merrik saw it from a distance. "Do I have to take it off?" murmured Merrik to himself.

He pulled out his phone to touch the phone screen to call his assistant, lucky to have a signal, to be able to contact his assistant, Dion. Just once ringing, Dion instantly picked it up. "Hallo Boss," said Dion.

"I'll be home this afternoon, get the car ready, see you in the first place!" After saying Merrik disconnected his phone.

Merrik chooses to let Elena go, he plans to leave Elena before things get complicated. He did not want his feelings to be weak, would not want to have a wife from a different caste, he would not follow in the footsteps of his father who was willing to let go of his mother just for the sake of a lowly woman who was just looking for luxury.

Merrik walked towards Elena's house, past the houses of the villagers. Each step is like a magnet that is always the center of attention. Most of the people knew she was Elena's husband, knowing why they were married. Lascivious voices were heard in Merrik's ears, but he did not care, he continued walking until Elena's house. Along the way thinking about whether Elena would experience bullying. However, when he saw it at school there were no signs of bullying. Yeah, he's gonna have to let Elena go.

Arriving at home, he immediately packed, it did not take long because he did not have many items. He waited for Elena to come home to say goodbye. Yeah, he's gonna be fine with Elena. He's going to divorce Elena today.

The day before noon, Elena came with a paper bag in her hand containing a diploma. Saw Merrik sitting in the living room with a carrier bag next to him. "Where are you going?" ask Elena.

Merrik looked at Elena, his eyes centered on Elena's lips. Merrik shook his head, his mind wanting to repeat their kiss last night. "I have business, I have to go back to the city." Merrik did not put out the words of the divorce he had planned. He could not bear to let out the word divorce, it was better for him to leave in silence.

"Oh." Elena only let out a single word.

"Do you mind if I go?" ask Merrik.

"No, I can't possibly hinder Brother's work. Currently looking for a job is difficult so Brother must be the spirit of his work."

"Maybe I'll be a little long gone!" merrik said, he wanted to see Elena's expression.

"Oh!" said Elena limp.

Merrik was disappointed by Elena's words, he expected Elena to beg him to stay, but did not throw her out of Elena's mouth.

"Yes." Yeah." Elena leaned her head on the doorpost staring at Merrik's departure, there was a sad look on her face. She is a teenage girl who just knew a man, despite not knowing her own feelings, something stuck in her heart when Merrik was about to leave. He wanted to ask Merrik how their relationship status in the future, but was interrupted because Merrik also did not discuss their status.

Merrik stepped away, only about seven steps away, he turned to look at Elena who was still silent in the doorway. Suddenly Merrik ran towards Elena and directly pulled on Elena's nape. Merrik repeated their kiss last night, after he was satisfied he said, "Come with me?"

"What's? Where's where?" elena asked confusedly.

"To the city, my work there. So you better come with me!" merrik said, he changed his plan, he didn't want to let Elena off at this time, for some reason he wanted Elena nearby. It's not time to divorce her now, she'll one day let Elena go. Yeah, one day.

"But, Sister ...." Elena had not finished talking, her arm had already been pulled by Merrik to leave. "Just come along!"

"I haven't packed up yet, at least let me bring some clothes." Elena only brought a paper bag containing her diploma.

"Then, buy it." Merrik continued to hold Elena's hand and headed to the place of agreement with Dion.

Arriving at the promise place, Dion was waiting. Dion saw Merrik walking with a high school girl, Dion immediately approached, then wanted to say hello to Merrik immediately hugged him and whispered, "Don't call me boss" said Merrik in a soft voice.

Merrik let go of his embrace. "Elena, this is Dion my coworker." Merrik introduced Dion to Elena. They met, then got into the car.

Dion just kept quiet and focused on driving, he didn't want to ask about what happened. 'Didn't he say he hated women after breaking up with his girlfriend? Why now even bring women, still in white gray uniform again!' inner Dion.

Elena scanned the interior of the car, she never rode in a fancy car, her hands trying to touch the television screen in front of her. However, it was stopped by Merrik. "Don't touch it, your hands can dirty it! It's Dion's car, we're just hitchhiking." said Merrik. He had no intention of revealing his true identity to Elena.

'Where does anyone have a car sitting in the front and driving while the one riding sits casually in the back!' grumbled Dion in heart.

Merrik secretly sends a message to Dion to be delivered to the apartment he occupied while in college, a standard apartment unit. He had no intention of taking Elena to the penthouse unit he was in at the moment.

Arrive at the destination, Dion immediately leave when dropping off his boss. Elena looked at the astonishment of the building in front of her. "Do you have an apartment?" ask Elena.

"Hope, let's go in." They went inside, Elena's eyes were watching the whole apartment. "What a luxury, it must be expensive!" elena said admiring in the apartment.

'Kampungan base! Here's how fancy it is, how I take it to the penthouse!' tease Merrik in the heart.

"I'll stay here, brother?" elena asked with sparkling eyes.

"Yes, are you happy?" merrik asked, Elena nodded her head.

'Looks like your true nature is starting to look, you will definitely be greedy after knowing who I really am!' inner Merrik.
