chapter 15 - Night Journey

Damar found his contact number and contacted him immediately.

“Halo,” says a man in sebrang.

“Gosh ... How is Aaron? Are you still a cattle rancher?” ask Damar as if they were familiar.

“I know who's calling, but what do you need to do calling these nights? I'm sure I don't owe you. Damar,” said Aaron a little ketus.

“Wah .. Why do you sound so dislike me? Though I just want to give you a little job,” said Damar and made Aaron surprised.

“Work? What job do you mean?” ask Aaron curiously.

“You know, the people who live in the village next door? What ... do you recognize them all?” ask Damar.

“The villagers next door? What's up with them? You ... what are you planning with them?”

“You ask so many questions, if you don't want I will look for someone else!” threaten Damar upset because Aaron is quite noisy.

“Ah .. not so, I just have to know what I should do if I know a lot of people there,” Harun explained in a lower voice. Trying to persuade Damar not to get angry at him.

Damar ended his phone call with a sigh because he had to babble his pocket more.

While he was about to return home, Arman met with several other employees in the elevator. Some of them congratulated Arman on leading the meeting today. They also showed their support for Arman's outstanding performance.

Until they were about to split up in the lobby, one of the employees offered to have dinner together before returning home.

“What if we celebrate Mr Arman's success with dinner together?”

“Ah, I am very flattered and honored by your offer. But, sorry because I had to refuse it because I had to make a service trip tonight too,” Arman said refusing their invitation.

However, they did not feel disappointed and delivered Arman home when his car had come to pick up.

“I go home first yes,” said Arman and get in the car and followed by Alexa who has been following since.

“Looks like you a lot,” said Alexa praising Arman.

“Not me, but my way of working. They would have hated me if I was just lazy,” replied Arman and made Alexa smile awkwardly.

Arriving at their home, Arman and Alexa were immediately clean. Arman takes a shower first, while Alexa prepares dinner for the two of them.

After the shower, Arman wore regular clothes and approached Alexa who had finished cooking.

“You didn't shower first?” arman surprised Alexa.

“Ah just want to take a shower, the fried chicken will be cooked in a moment. Are you hungry?” ask Alexa awkwardly.

“No, shower. Let me continue. We have not prayed isya,” said Arman and took over the kitchen.

Alexa was a little awkward but went straight to her room. A few moments later, both of them finished praying together. Then eat dinner prepared by Alexa and continued by Arman.

Both of them were very nervous and misbehaved. But they try to be ordinary. After that, Alexa also prepared the clothes they would bring to go out of town tonight.

“Have you brought everything?” ask Arman on Alexa who still puts some stuff in their bag. While Jo is already in front of the house to pick them up.

“It's done, it looks like there's nothing else to bring,” Alexa said. Arman immediately took the bag held by Alexa and brought it out of the house.

“If there is anything less we can buy there. Go up,” said Arman put the bag with Jo's help into the trunk.

After everything was done, they got into the car and went to the village they were headed to. During the trip, Arman was still focused on his work. Alexa plays her phone for a moment. Time passed quickly too. They arrived at the inn at midnight.

“Welcome, have you booked a room before?” the receptionist welcomed their arrival.

“Not yet, we book two rooms –“

“I want a separate room,” sidelines Alexa on Jo who is booking a room. Jo was surprised, but realized something and booked a separate room for Alexa and Arman without asking further.

“Good, this is the room. Our employees will take you,” said the receptionist and one of the employees drove them into their respective rooms.

Their rooms were lined up, and because it was late at night. They went straight into their rooms to rest.

Arman immediately lay his body on the mattress that is very soft. And not for five seconds, Arman was already soundly closed.

The night passed quickly, and the twilight began to come. Arman was still in his position while sleeping and did not change position. His face looked tired however, a smile was etched into his face.

Arman had a beautiful dream, he was amazed at the figure of a woman wrapped in kebaya sitting in front of him with a very beautiful smile.

In his dream, Arman looks happy because of the welcome of the guests who congratulated his marriage with Alexa.
