Changing Fate: Monster Girl

Changing Fate: Monster Girl
Chapter 7 - Calisa

"He's in there. The monster girl" said a woman outside the warehouse.

"Huh? Who's that?" Kyara was shocked. He immediately rose from his sleep. His whole body aches, because he lay on the ground floor with a mat.

Kyara's vegetables heard the sound of the Adhan from a distance. The chickens also started crowing. No more sounds that he heard.

"Thankfully... It turned out to be just a dream," muttered Kyara stroking her chest. He didn't realize he had been asleep all night.

As promised, before sunrise Kyara left the warehouse. He had tidied up the warehouse, and tucked a piece of money under a lamp of gratitude.

The cold morning air gripped Kyara's body to the bone. The girl who just covered her body with a negligee given by the owner of the stall, felt her body shiver until it felt frozen.

But Kyara continued to walk tirelessly. Kyara's goal this time is the address listed on Kalisa's KTP. In addition, he will also find a job to connect his life.

A few dozen minutes later, he arrived at the edge of a large road. Long enough he waited for public transportation to take him to the address he was headed. No one wants to transport it. The reason was still the same as yesterday, he had a terrifying face.

But Kyara's not the name if you give up quickly. The girl approached an old rickshawman, who was unloading cargo from the top of his tricycles.

The man with white hair looked hard to lift the boxes of the drink. No one can help him.

"May I help you, Cake?" ask Kyara gently.

"Oh, can you? I'm very happy" said the man, wiping his sweat.

"Yes, of course," Kyara said with a carefree smile. Kyara Pum helped her move the item from the rickshaw, to a small stall on the side of the road.

"Thank you, son."

โ€œSama-sama, Cake. Oh yes, does Grandpa know this address?โ€

"Hmmm...?" the wrinkled-skinned man frowned. Both of his eyes focused on looking towards the resident sign card in Kyara's hand.

"Oh.. Cemara Street. It's a long way from here" said Grandpa.

"Can Grandpa take me there?" ask Kyara.

"of course. Come aboard.

...๐ŸŒบ๐ŸŒบ๐ŸŒบ...

"Restu, what did you say just now? Kyara has been discharged from the hospital? Why did you let that happen?โ€ maria's Anger at Restu

โ€œI didn't let it.But I intentionally. He must taste the bitterness of life outside, before he dies slowly.โ€

โ€œWhat if he comes to a certain place to ask for help?โ€ namel Maria.

โ€œIt turns out your brain is only half, huh?" said Restu while exhaling an upset breath.

"What did you say?" reply Maria.

"He has nothing. Even the identity is unclear. Relax, no one can believe it.โ€

โ€œCih, just troublesome. As long as he was alive, it would definitely be troublesome. Why not just die, anyway?โ€ grouse Maria.

โ€œBut he's really a bum on the road, right?โ€ ask Maria.

โ€œI can't guarantee it," said Restu.

"You mean?" Maria panicked to hear the man's answer.

"It is possible that he is now dead of hunger and cold. Especially the night of heavy rain," said Restu while laughing cynically.

...๐ŸŒบ๐ŸŒบ๐ŸŒบ...

"Is this the orphanage?"

Kyara stared at the orphanage building which now lives in sheer rubble. There was no one there, other than the sunlight that gripped the surface of the earth with its heatstroke.

"Mothers... There's a madman" exclaimed a little boy as he ran away from Kyara.

"Son, you can't say that" said a middle-aged woman who happened to pass by there.

Kyara said to him, "Excuse me, ma'am" he said.

"Yes?"

"Is this really Latansa Orphanage?" ask Kyara.

"really. But a few days ago, this land was riled up by a company" the woman replied.

"Skewed? Why?" ask Kyara curiously.

"It is a land dispute. But weird too, huh? It's been standing for almost thirty years, and it's getting riled up now?" said the yellow woman.

"What companies evicted him, ma'am? I see the buildings around it no one gets riled up?"

Kyara noticed the land with the debris of this building. It is in stark contrast to the surrounding areas that are completely untouched by eviction.

"He said PT. Restu Jaya Abadi, Mom. I want to make this clinic he said."

"FR. Restu Jaya Abadi? Is this part of their plan, too?" kyara Gumam.

Kyara's thoughts immediately floated to the ex-lover who was now betraying her. He never knew if Restu owned the company. But all the recent events made him unable to think positively.

"Where do the residents move, ma'am?" ask Kyara later.

"Well, I don't know that either, Dek. At the time of the eviction, they were simply expelled and there was no preparation. They then walked away from the orphanage with the caretaker" the woman replied.

Kyara was pensive for quite a while after hearing that. Mind empty. His heart was filled with questions.

"Who is looking for? Are there any acquaintances or relatives living here?" ask the woman to Kyara.

"I'm looking for Kalisa who used to live here. Did you know her?" ask Kyara.

"Kalisa's? I don't really know the orphanage children here" the friendly woman replied.

"But one of the orphanage children I know, there is often called Lisa. He is an adult and his man is very good. He now works at a company and does not live here anymore" she continued.

"Oh, I see, Mom. Do you have a phone number you can hold?" ask Kyara.

"Not got, anyway," he answered.

...๐ŸŒบ๐ŸŒบ๐ŸŒบ...

Kyara sat pensively under an overpass. The clothes attached to his body were already dusty and wet with sweat.

Kyara lost her way, alone, with no one willing to accept her. Several times he offered services to simply obtain harassment and shelter at night, but no one would accept him.

Strange, ugly, scary, sick, monster, that's what people tell him, every time Kyara comes to them.

"Patience, Kyara. You must be strong. Coconut trees alone must receive the wind, to grow tall and strong. I also have to get through it" Kyara told herself.

"Heh, padlock! Don't sleep here! This is my place!" A teenager in her teens lifts her kick at Kyara's weakened body.

"But this is a public place?" kyara.

"There is no such thing as a public place. Every place on earth has its owner. You go find somewhere else," hardik teen.

Kyara was silent for a moment. The man smiled triumphantly.

"But this is not your place either, sir," Kyara replied later. Unexpectedly, the woman actually fought the thugs of the flyover frontman.
