11. Apparitions

Aprilia looked nervous as Ricki approached her. For a moment their gazes met. But Aprilia was surprised to find the anger behind Ricki's gaze.

From her seat Aprilia could see straight into the box that contained strands of chaotic, tangled and shapeless thread. It resembled a long black thread. There were several strands of thread of similar length and color inside that box.

And when Aprilia observed carefully it turned out that the black threads moved and united to form clumps resembling hair that was tied neatly. Aprilia grew riled up as the hair-like wisp of black thread moved to the right and left slowly as if it was deliberately gently swung. Aprilia went to the clinic at Mona. After the doctor made sure Aprilia was okay, he rushed to the employee break room to change clothes and go home.
