The three of us entered the house after about an hour or so we explored my and Dema's abilities.
Dema pushed me towards the living room, Vi walked in front. "If you want to take a shower please, you can use the only bathroom in this house" said Vi. He opened the room door on the right side of the room, then went inside.
"Can you shower yourself Med?" Dema suddenly chuckled.
"You may underestimate me. Even though I'm sitting up here, I can still take a shower." I snorted annoyedly hearing Dema.
Dema asked, "But if the wheelchair is wet how? If the electricity is short even there will be you electrocuted Med."
Vi out of room—explains, "No need to worry about it Amed. The technology on Singgede Island is certainly all waterproof, although you use swimming is also okay. Anyway, all the technology coming from there is no doubt about its quality." Vi picked up a towel inside the cupboard that stood on the left side of the room, then Vi walked into the living room—towards the bathroom that was in the backmost building of this house.
Dema was sitting under the floor, right next to me, "Aren't you shopping?" bring him. I looked directly. "Who wants to go shopping?" my many.
Dema replied, "Vi of course. After taking a bath, he would usually go shopping in the middle of the island. Are you coming?"
"What would Vi buy?" ask again.
Dema said, "Vi usually buys spare parts just in case he wants to make tools or fix his damaged items."
"Well I'm with kal—"
"I'm not going anywhere for today. I'm going to focus on adding defensive features to Amed's wheelchair only" Vi said. "And the necessary spare parts are also not too much. I've also been stoking him from a month ago," he added.
Vi went straight into his room. Dema went straight to the top of her bed— broke her back after knowing if Vi wouldn't go. I'm coming to bed. I tried to move slowly, from the wheelchair to the top of the bed. Dema's head emerged from behind her bed, offering me help. I'm shaking. "I can do it myself Dem, thank you for offering help," I said.
Vi came back out, carrying a box he said contained equipment to help him modify my wheelchair.
He asked me for permission if he'd start modifying. "Yes please Vi. Please help, give what you think is best" I said. Vi nodded—reached my wheelchair and then changed my wheelchair back to the shape of a white disc.
Vi took a cable out of the box"I'm gonna stick this in here." A soft whistling sound came out of my wheelchair after the cable was installed. The thing then gave off a blue light—circled around its disk.
Vi then sat— crossed his legs under the floor with his leisure, while holding the disc of my wheelchair which began to be cable-mounted by Vi.
"What are you going to do to that chair Vi?" asked Dema who was peeking out from behind her bed.
"I'm going to make it more than just a wheelchair for Amed, but a weapon." Vi began to take out his equipment, not a screwdriver or any other tool, but just a few balls of different colors. "I will modify this wheelchair to keep Amed out of any danger. I gave him some new gear, like an automatic driver, a firearm, and a protective shield..."
Dema was shocked to hear that. "His wheelchair can be used as a war vehicle then it will be," Dema protested, assuming it was a little excessive.
"Thank you Dem, we live in a world where not a few people will hesitate to kill you to get what they want" Vi said in a slightly raised tone.
Dema chuckled to herself, forgetting that the world had changed. "Aing rarely goes out of the house. It's only natural to forget the state of the world now Vi." Dema scratched her head that was not itchy. Then Dema invites Vi to continue her work again without any interference or protest from her again.
Without waiting, Vi instantly resumed his modifications.
Me and Dema were watching from above the bed. Vi was very serious about it. He repeatedly pressed a button and then continued to insert balls of different colors.
"If we could just try it out right now Med. Because I can't wait to see if all the samples I've put in can be accepted by this chair program" Vi lamented for not being able to try her modified seat tonight.
"It's possible that if there's a bad guy that later tonight suddenly sneaks into this house Vi. You can try it on them right away" said Dema. Vi immediately scolded Dema—reminding not to origin talking about bad things.
"Don't talk bad about anything to anyone else. Or it could be real, and I don't want it at night, when it's time for me to sleep, suddenly there's a robber coming inside."
"But so you can test the chair" said Dema. Vi directly slapped Dema's arm, her face was already flushed red. "Yes, sorry, sorry, sick tofu." Dema complained, regretting for testing Vi's patience.
"It's hard to talk about it again, that's enough! Make it in the mood." Vi snorted in annoyance, then stood— tidied up his gear, directly going inside his room. The door slammed, the sound of a key was also played. Vi also locked the door of her room in annoyance.
"Is your sleep Dema?" No answer yet. I immediately closed my eyes—sleep early for tonight.
...***...
"Amed..." Someone whispered softly while shaking my hand, making me wake up. The atmosphere outside was still night, and the lights of the house had completely gone out. Only the light from the moon is the only illumination.
"There's ap—" Dema shuts my mouth, forbids me from speaking out loud.
"Are you sure this is the house?" There was a voice of a man from the front of the house speaking in the language of Ampatraja Island. "This is definitely his house. Look, there are two windows in front of his house, the same as described in this note, boss," someone else replied.
"Where is Vi now?" I whispered too. At the same time Vi came out of the room inside the house. He threw a piece of cloth, Dema accepted it. The cloth was spread out Dema, and it turned out to be very wide, until it could be used to cover the entire body of two people at once.
"What is this fabric for?" ask me. Vi did not reply, he immediately told us to cover our bodies with the cloth. "Don't let those people see you here" he said. Vi and Dema immediately helped me to move into a wheelchair.
Suddenly there was the sound of the door being forcefully pushed from outside. "The door is locked from inside the boss" said one of the people outside trying to get in. "Of course the door is locked, you forget what time it is?" reply to others with a high tone of speech.
A sweat filled Vi's face, a bad thing like it had just hit her. "Dema, take Amed running through the back door now!" his orders.
"Then how about—"
"Think of yourself and get going!" resolute Vi. He said he would hold the people in front of the house alone.
Dema complied with Vi's will, running to the back door of the house. "I'm not sure I should leave Vi Dem. He needs our help!" my firmness.
Dema ignored, directly pushing the back door of the house.
"Hi kids, where are you going? why so hurry?" Someone with a cungkring body, was propping up a sack on his shoulder—standing in front of us. He was dressed in black from head to toe. "Why are you silent now? do I look very scary to you?" Dema pecked, like a deer looking at a lion standing in front of him.
"I think I've seen you before?" the black-clothed man spoke again.
"how many people do you bring with you?" Dema speaks the language of Ampatraja Island.
"Why do you ask? You are very scared, aren't you?" The man spoke in a mocking tone to Dema. The face of the person was not very clear in the dark. Dema spoke to the man again, as if they knew each other.
Dema pulled my chair a little backwards. Dema's face was different, began to reddish out— his breathing was irregular. "Pray the best only Med! Aing doesn't know if he can beat her" he chanted. My body felt instantly limp hearing Dema's words.
"Be sure you can Dema!" my firmness.
Dema turned her head for a while towards me—meringis. Then his gaze instantly turned into like a hateful gaze— looked towards the person in front of us. The prema began to regulate his breathing.
The man put down the sack he supported. "When will it start? My hands itch." That person was endless talking in a mocking tone.
By the time that person was about to say another word, Dema had already jumped forward with a fist that pointed towards the black-clothed person's head.
"Eiitsa. You can't catch me." That guy deftly avoided his punch.
Dema unleashed a punch continuously, but still it could be avoided by that person easily. Dema growled in annoyance, as her fist that no one had been able to injure the person since. "Once again. After that, it's my turn," said the man.
I looked at my wheelchair. Just remember if now there is a new feature that Vi added to my wheelchair. There are four buttons in different colors, and one of the biggest buttons is in the middle in red, no matter what it means.
Not waiting for long, I directly pressed one of them, which was green. And, BUUUUSSSSH. Instantly a rocket came out from the right leg of my wheelchair.
Dema jumped away from that guy before my rocket hit her. That guy didn't get to dodge my rocket. "Oh no." YOAHARR!! My rocket exploded right into that guy's body. All around me was full of flying dust.
