Chapter 279 (Season 2 )

Marquez's face was shocked to see the contents of the gift box that Niken had left his mother for him.

There was a ring of vines and a dried flower crown and a flash in the box.

Marquez recalled the memories of a few years ago when he was a child.

Marquez and Niken were playing in a garden with their grandparents. Marquez made a ring and a crown of flowers for Niken.

When the ring and crown were finished, Marquez placed the flower crown on Niken's head and he pinned the ring on Niken's ring finger.

Marquez said that he would marry Niken when his best friend was an adult and that happened before Marquez met Zinnia.

The memory swirled in Marquez's head. When he saw the ring and the crown of the flower his memory returned.

"So he still keeps these things?" ask Marquez to himself.

Sandra approached her husband. He saw the items that were in the box that Niken gave. "Whatis that? it looks like it's been a long time since it dried up like that" chirped the curious Sandra.

"This is the ring and crown of vines" Marquez told Niken.

William and Zinnia approached the newlyweds. "Why are you guys here? guests have come to congratulate you both" Zinnia told the two.

William looked at the box Marquez was holding. "That's a flash, right?" ask William and Marquez looking towards the flash.

"Gerry! you got a laptop in the car?" ask Marquez to his assistant.

"Yes, Sir!"

"Quick take it now!"

Everyone around Marquez, including Sandra, was confused as to why Marquez had to ask his assistant to take a laptop.

"For what, dear?" sandra asked her husband.

"I want to see what the contents of this flash," said Marquez showing the flash that is now in his hand.

Gerry had brought the laptop that Marquez had requested. "We'd better be in the private room, sir!" Gerry suggested to his boss.

Marquez immediately followed Gerry, as did William, Zinnia, and Sandra.

The five of them with Gerry were already in the private room.

Gerry had turned on his laptop and Marquez immediately plugged in the flash, then looked for what files were inside.

He saw a file with the name "Niken Express".

Marquez clicked on the file and there was a video of Niken.

Marquez looked at his wife for permission, "May I see her?"

Sandra nodded her head. "You should see it, baby! maybe there's something to tell you, Niken!"

Marquez pressed the play button on the laptop screen because the laptop is touchscreen type.

When the video was played, the first face that appeared was Niken.

The woman's face was already clean of her thick makeup. Niken smiled looking at the camera as if she was staring at someone.

"Hi, Marq! how are you?" Niken smile. "Congratulations on your marriage and Sandra! I'm sure you're happy right now, right?" Niken smiled again with a face that was getting pale.

"I'm sorry I couldn't come to your wedding! I'm tired of wanting a break, and for that gift I gave you to give that ring and that crown to, Sandra! now the woman who is your wife is not me, but her!" Niken looked up trying to hold back her tears that had almost flooded.

"For this video I purposely made it so that you could remember me even though I'm gone!" niken's voice shakes in the video.

Sandra's eyes started to shed tears. Similarly, Marquez and the others also held back their tears.

"May you both be happy until death do you part!. .. and thank you for giving me a sense of how happy, beautiful, and joyful it is to fall in love with someone! ever since you said you wanted to marry me back then, I've always remembered what you said and you're the only man in here" Niken pointed to her chest.

Niken smiled back. "I shouldn't take a boy's words seriously! maybe I got so carried away with you that this feeling is just me feeling alone without a reply, making our relationship the last few years stretch! but you take it easy! I've learned to forget this feeling. If I wasn't around you, I'd miss you if this feeling kept growing on my last day, so I'd try to forget it."

Marquez was still silent without a sound as well as the others just a tear that fell on the cheeks of Zinnia and Sandra when he heard the enormous recognition of love by Niken for Marquez.

"I'm sorry I didn't tell you about inviting Sandra here to replace me as a bride! I'm doing it all so you can be happy, I don't want you to feel burdened when you're really my husband today!" Niken lowered her head, then looked back to the front. "I'm doing it all for your happiness and I want you to marry the woman you love and need to know, if this marriage isn't me asking for it, it's all purely the wishes of my parents who feel sorry for me because soon I will ...."

Niken smiled wryly when he could not continue his own words.

"Right now you don't have to feel sorry for me! the most important thing is that you have to live happily with Sandra who is already your wife! I can only pray for your happiness and I also pray to God if I am going to leave right now I hope there is a man in heaven waiting for me who looks like you said he was love me, even if it's only in my imagination."

Suddenly fresh blood flowed through Niken's nose and Sandra covered her mouth shaking her head in surprise.

Zinnia was also surprised that Niken, who was in the video, lowered his head, took some tissue to clean the fresh blood coming out of his nose.

Marquez stiffened for a moment. He felt the world's dumbest man for not giving Niken a chance to date him at that time, even as the last date in his best friend's life.

"Don't pity me! I am a strong and strong woman! one thing's for sure .. I love you, Marquez! very ...love you!" again fresh blood came out of Niken's nose and the woman turned around and removed it.

Niken held his head. It seems Marquez's best friend is in pain.

Niken turned her body towards the camera again to turn off the footage.

With the hand holding his head in pain and the other hand trying to turn off the footage on his camera.

Everyone's faces panicked because Niken's condition seemed to be worsening.

"Are there any medics on guard?" william asked in a firm voice because he saw Niken's condition was very bad.

Marquez turned to William with reddened eyes and a face full of fear of losing his best friend who he never happy. "Nothing! he doesn't want any medics in his house" Marquez said.

"We're there now!" William began to instruct because Niken's condition could be worse than that.

They all rushed out towards the parking lot and certainly not from the main door but through the emergency exit.
