Poor Child

In the morning Esperanza awoke from a deep sleep. Look at the clock on his phone. Get up and go to the bathroom. Brush your teeth and wash your face. The sleepiness is gone. Continue with a shower.

"It's early in the morning, where are you going?" ask mama Esperanza.

"Today the shop owner's uncle will go for a walk" Esperanza replied as he ran towards his room.

Mama Esperanza shakes her head at her daughter's behavior.

"If they go for a walk, it means the store is closed, right?"

"Yes" answered Esperanza.

She changed her clothes and is now wiping her hair.

"Why do you look so busy? Dating huh?"

Mama Esperanza smiled imagining her daughter who is now growing up starting to like the opposite sex.

"Mama, I'm not dating, but I was taken for a walk by the shop owner's uncle. Yes, last night I told my dad when I got home from work. I forgot to tell my mom" Esperanza replied.

"Oh, have you? What time are you leaving?"

"Say 8am, but I don't want to rush. So I better get ready sooner."

"Well, yeah on the road. Don't bother your uncle and aunt there."

Esperanza helped her mother prepare breakfast when her hair started to dry. He set the alarm on his phone. But still he checks it once every five minutes.

When his phone rang the clock showed 7 o'clock past 7 minutes. He receives a call from the uncle of the shop owner where he works. If their car suddenly breaks down. So departure is delayed.

"Who?"

"Auntie, he said the departure was delayed, their car was in trouble" Esperanza replied to his mother.

Two hours later, his phone rang again. Esperanza's face was no longer cheerful. Because the car cannot walk. And it's not fixed yet. The trip is postponed next week.

"Okay uncle, thank you. See you tomorrow at the store" Esperanza replied.

His mother asked him why he did not leave too, he lazily replied that they had left. Esperanza wanted to change her clothes when a neighbor came. A close friend and classmate of Esperanza.

"Which aunt?" ask a kid of Esperanza's age.

"There's inside" Esperanza replied.

The boy noticed Esperanza and smiled and went inside. Soon he's headed to the kitchen. Ask for some kind of kitchen seasoning.

"Breakfast is here," said mama Esperanza.

The boy smiled. Mama Esperanza gives breakfast to the boy. He's now an orphan. Life is in shortcomings and mama Esperanza is very sorry for him.

As the boy enjoys his breakfast, Esperanza's mama tells of Esperanza's failed departure. Esperanza sat on the dining table chair. He's changed his clothes.

"Make breakfast aunty," said the boy after the food on his plate ran out.

"Not added?" ask Esperanza.

The boy shook his head and signaled that he was full. He said he planned to go somewhere this afternoon. Then he took Esperanza. And his invitation was accepted.

"Ok, it's noon?" esperanza repeated the boy's words.

Esperanza was wearing the clothes she was wearing this morning. The clothes he changed when he failed to leave. Now he is styling his hair. And the boy who took her away was already waiting in the kitchen. Lunch at Esperanza's house.

The boy finished the rest of his meal with one mouthful. Only a few times chewed food in the mouth immediately he swallowed. In a hurry he drank until he choked. Esperanza laughed at his behavior.

"Hey, don't be in a hurry!" esperanza said anxiously.

"Ah no, I'm already full," replied the boy.

He took a tissue and wiped his mouth. Immediately he put his old dinner plate to a special place to wash the dishes. Esperanza pulled his hand when he wanted to wash the dishes of his former meal.

"Let me go!" Esperanza.

But the boy quickly washed the dishes and rinsed them, then put them in the basket after wiping them. Esperanza shrugged. Old man Esperanza grinned at the manner of the two of them.

After the child has finished washing the dishes and the glass. They finally broke down and went somewhere together. On foot.

Along the way those who knew Esperanza rebuked him. And Esperanza kindly answered his reprimand. But the boy didn't like to see Esperanza smile at the others. Especially if you smile at the same person.

"Hello pretty! Wanna go where? Let brother deliver!" said a young man.

"No, brother, I'm with him" Esperanza refused.

"Rather than walking, it's better to ride a bike with me" the young man said.

But when he was just a few meters away his motor drove. He also fell. There was a loud voice, making Esperanza turn away. Seeing the young man reprimanding him lying on the asphalt, Esperanza turned his body and tried to help. But his steps stopped when the child next to him grabbed his arm.

"We'll be late if we don't hurry!" said the boy.

"But he ...," said Esperanza cut off.

Look at the way the kid has vegetables and bids the price. It feels pretty interesting. Within a few minutes, there was a lot of shopping. And filled the paper bag he had prepared from home.

Their country is encouraging efforts to reduce the use of plastic waste. So shoppers should provide a place for their groceries. Pretty troublesome at first. But after a long time, 50 percent more people have done the same thing as the child did.

Finished shopping, the money is still there. The boy offered Esperanza to buy snacks that were sold at the place. Esperanza initially refused because he realized that the child was in economic trouble after the departure of his grandmother. The only family of the child.

But because it continues to be offered, Esperanza bought snacks that he thought were affordable. And they enjoy it under the tree. It is located outside the market area. While looking at the people passing by on the street.

Then he stared intently at the biker who had almost disappeared at the end of the road. He crossed the trees. The boy stared at the branch of the tree that was right in the part that the biker was going to pass.

As the biker passed under the tree branch that the boy was staring at, it broke at once. And hit the biker and fell. He suffered injury to the part that was hit by the branch of the tree.

"It's done, let's go home" the boy told Esperanza.
