After a long drive around and not finding her daughter, Lina asks Ros's private driver to pull over the vehicle they are riding in. Then he went out and took a deep breath, and exhaled simultaneously.
"Lina, who is patient, we can definitely find him" said Ros who came down. He tried to ease the mental burden of his best friend.
Lina tried to calm herself down, her tears flowing unstoppably. And Ros hugged him while giving a soft pat on his shoulder.
"It's past midnight, the streets are getting quiet," muttered the Ros driver who also finally came out.
"Let's find out for a little while, and then we go home. Who knows if Teresa has been home since. She must have been scared and confused, because the house was locked. And he can't get in." said Ros. And made Lina stop crying.
"It's true, it could be like that" the driver agreed to Ros's remarks. Ros nodded. Lina wiped her tears.
So for the last time they looked around and after that they went home. On the way home, Lina continued to hold her left hand, with her right hand and lowered her head. Closing her eyes and hoping Teresa was waiting for her at home.
But after arriving in front of his house, there was no sign of his daughter. Even so, he still got out of the car and searched for his daughter around the house. Who knows, his daughter is sitting or sleeping waiting for his return somewhere.
But still there was none, then he called his daughter gently. Who knows, he'll come out on his own when he hears his call. Again the result is nil. Ros also came down and searched around Lina's house. The atmosphere that night seemed very quiet. There was no activity like this afternoon.
If not for thinking about the fate of Teresa, Ros would not have walked alone on that lonely road. Then he went back to Lina's house. Lina had turned on the lights of her house and was sitting weakly on the floor. He checked every corner of the room. But the shadow of his daughter did not exist.
"Go home" he told Ros in a resigned tone.
Ros just silently pecked. And just as he was about to get closer, Lina stood up straight.
"Go home, you too must be tired and need rest. I'm tired and I want to rest."
"Lina, you're okay, right?" ask Ros worriedly. Lina nodded and threw a thin smile on her lips.
Ros could feel the bitterness Lina felt. He did not follow the orders of his best friend. Seeing that Ros had not yet moved, Lina approached. Hugged her.
"I'll be fine, don't worry" he said.
Ros took a deep breath and returned his friend's embrace. And rubbed his best friend's back many times. Not feeling her tears. Soon she wiped the clear hair that soaked her cheeks.
"Alright then, take good care of yourself, may Teresa return home as she can. Otherwise, we'll find it again tomorrow, yes." said Ros before finally stepping his foot.
Lina didn't deliver Ros. As soon as Ros got out of his house, he just waved, then closed the door. And after hearing the sound of Ros's car away, he went to the room and cried his hardest.
Fatigue put him to sleep, with tears slowly drying up on his cheeks.
Teresa had now awakened and looked around.
"You're sober?" ask Nicholas.
Teresa was surprised to hear a voice greeting her. Then the memories of the fire and the people who were about to burn it, appeared in his mind. Instantly he suddenly trembled.
"Calm down, you're safe now. It's a hospital. Whatis yourname? Can I know?"
Teresa looked at him timidly. Then he remembered the face. The face of the person who stopped him from burning. He subconsciously looked at Nicholas without blinking a single bit.
"You remember me? I helped you, so don't be afraid."
"Where's your mama's house? Tell me your address, I'll take you there!"
Teresa then said her mother's address in full. Just like her mother taught her all along. Nicholas then checked the address Teresa had given him through a Google Map on his phone. Because he doesn't know the location of the place.
He actually ran away from home. And intend to vacation at the home of his uncle who happens to be a security guard at the place. And just as they were about to return to their uncle's house after a walk with their cousins and friends, they met Teresa.
"It turns out the distance is quite far from the location of uncle's office." he muttered after enlarging the map on his phone to get maximum results.
"Why did you get here?" ask Nicholas. Then he accidentally saw the ring on Teresa's ring finger.
"Is he married? And ran away from her husband, and went back to her mother's house?" inner Nicholas wondered.
"I don't know, when I realized I was tied up and doused with gasoline."
"Well!" Nicholas opened his mouth. Theresa's answer felt strange and awkward.
"What do you mean by 'don't know' that's not the right answer?" nicholas continues to interrogate.
"I really don't know, I was in the bedroom. And I dreamt of climbing the stairs behind my house. Then jump over the wall that fortifies the back of the house." Teresa recounted an event she had seen as a dream.
Again Nicholas was made. But Nicholas continued to listen without saying a word as well.
"Ok, then,"
"After jumping over the fence, in my dream I walked down the road without looking back. And many people looked at me with strange eyes. But I kept going, and I didn't know how far I'd gone." she continued.
Nicholas propped up his chin as if listening to his grandmother tell a fairy tale. And Teresa continued to tell stories in accordance with the spirit of the woman, when her body was used by other spirits.
"Then when I was hungry, I picked up some cookies and some bread at the grocery store."
Nicholas now lifts his head. And began to seriously listen and wanted to know the end part.
"Initially they kicked me out and called me a sick man."
Now Nicholas scrunched his forehead.
"They pushed me out of the store violently. But I don't want to. I kept taking some more bread. And it made the person in the store angry."
Nicholas squinted his eyes and tilted his head 45 degrees. He seems to be starting to understand something. Things related to the incident when you first saw Teresa.
"They hit me, and I fought back. I ruffled the store and destroyed some of the things in the store. And they're getting rough. They held me and took me out. But then I managed to escape. And I use anything against them."
Now Nicholas was bearded and understood his situation. And he understood why the men were so willing to burn Teresa alive.
"Then they ganged on me and tied me with a rope, and wrapped the tire around me and doused me with gasoline. Then make a very big fire. I was terrified when they were about to burn me, and I finally woke up."
"And when you wake up, your dream comes true, isn't it?"
Seriate...
