Flashback Lee and Memories at the Merlion....

"Let's go over here, great view. Later, all the Merlion statues in the photo will be seen," said an oriental-faced woman to her son.

"Yes, Mother. Come on Dad's in the picture," the little boy's whine drew his father's hand.

"Slow down Lee.. Who takes the photo if you want the photo of three?" replied a big man, looking tired face full of struggle.

"I have an idea. Put it here, Dad. Come photo threesome," said the little Lee who was very enthusiastic to take pictures with his parents.

Lee put the camera on top of a big garbage box. He pressed the timer setting 10 seconds. Then he took his mother and father to pose together. A few photos taken at the Merlion made Lee very happy. Although a native of Singapore, he had only been there once. His parents are very busy. Dad worked as a city bus driver while Mom worked as a secretary for a housing marketing office.

Little Lee spent more time in the flats, alone. Lee's parents could not afford to hire a nanny or maid. At the age of eleven, Lee was self-taught. They can even cook themselves

Five days after going to the Merlion, Lee witnessed his parents' first altercation. In three months, Lee will have his eleventh birthday. Lee was frightened and trembling while hugging his knees.

Instantly some raw bogem father was floated into the mother's body. Dad was provoked by emotions because he talked about Lee.

"You can insult me but don't say that! Lee is our son. The fruit of our love." father's voice trembled as if to endure sorrow.

"What fruit of love? You raped me to marry me! Basic sneaky! I regret marrying you!!" hardik's mother made Lee more dizzy to hear the quarrel of both parents.

Lee's mother lied on purpose. Indeed, Lee existed before his parents married, but his mother was about to abort when she knew the baby she contained was a boy.

After the voice of the father's cry was gone, a cry was heard echoing in the central room. Lee got off his bed. Slowly he walked over to his father who was crying.

"A... father.." - Lee as he touched the shoulder of his father who was kneeling down on the floor that was already in disarray.

"Lee.." Dad hugged Lee tightly. "What's wrong, Lee. I'm sorry you've been angry and scared you."

"Mom why dad?" asked Lee innocently.

"What's wrong Lee. Patience yes. Most importantly there's still a father here."

Lee had no idea it was the beginning of his family's split.

Three Months Later when Lee's birthday, his mother promised to go home after a long time unseen.

Lee was disappointed. He felt neglected and abandoned by his mother. I tried to strengthen Lee's heart. But the way I planted it was wrong.

"Relax Lee.just ignore the woman. From now on he's not part of your life anymore. He was having an affair with a younger, richer director. The classic reason women leave their partners.
