Chapters 12. The figure in the sky

“Head tribe...”.

The heavy voice of a resident shocked Alea and Raseyan who were conversing. Their conversation was halted by the arrival of the tall young man.

"Ahu?" call Raseyan.

Apparently the young man named Ahu wanted to convey something to the chieftain.

Raseyan also moved. He welcomed Ahu's arrival with a huffed face. Raseyan knew that the residents rarely disturbed their sleep. They only come in emergencies. In other words, their village was facing a problem or even danger.

“What's Ahu?”.

“Langit..the ceiling is strange. Strong winds have also made the trees fall”.

Of course Alea did not understand the content of Raseyah and Ahu's conversation. But he could catch an irregularity when he saw the serious look of the two men.

“There's a problem?” ask Alea.

“I think we should get out. You wear this”, Raseyan said as he attached an animal skin cloak to Alea's shoulder.

Raseyan then asked Ahu to guide him. Before going out, he took out a long spear

the one leaning near the entrance. He gave one spear into Alea's hand just in case.

Alea's feeling was not good. The cold sweat slowly appeared. There's a taste sensation

the nausea he felt. His body suddenly collapsed. However the girl covered up her symptoms from Raseyan. He hastened

following the steps of the two who ran towards the northern part of the village.

“Alea...” call Kavindra from a distance.

The young man had apparently gathered together with the other villagers. In his mouth were the remains of a salted fish. Stomach squeaking. It seemed like he was satisfied tasting the food stored in the food storage barn.

Ahu pointed towards the sky. Up there, there are some pictures that appear. The young man now conveyed something to the chieftain. It was a pity that Alea could not understand the content of their conversation.

The thunderous lightning and the strong wind made Alea's hair stand up.

The girl was stunned as she looked at the characters listed in the sky. The writing is similar to the characters of the letters of the future. But Alea was not sure which country the letter came from.

“For Odin and Freya”.

Kavindra's voice surprised Alea.

The man was standing next to him. Face's tangled. He looks serious.

“That writing?” aela asked while pointing to the sky.

Kavindra. He played with his beard that was beginning to grow.

“I don't understand..”.

“What do you mean?” ask Alea.

“Why there is their name in this place..”.

“You know the names you just called?”.

“Yes, they are important figures in Norse” myth.

Alea's forehead frowned.

“Norse? Viking?”.

Kavindra answered Alea's question.

The girl glanced back towards the sky.  Those silver-colored characters suddenly appeared in the sky of the transition world. If the Kavindra conjecture is correct, is this time their destiny related to the Viking ancestors?

Alea shook her head. He could not find the red thread behind the strange incident.

“But... What does the Norse have to do with the world? Same with us?”.

Alea rejected the flawed logic. He had never heard of the history that the inhabitants of Sundanese lands had contact with those who inhabited the northern regions of Europe.

Isn't the distance between the two places too far? What made the two connect, Alea asked inwardly.

“Yes I know my face is blaster, handsome like that.." replied Kavindra confidently.

Alea widened her eyes. His ears are sensitive to hearing the intimacy of the friend.

"none…. There should be no” timpal Kavindra while giggling amusedly. His voice changed again. It also seems to be confused.

“Be-te-we, how can you read that?” asked Alea curiously.

Alea now understood why Kavindra recognized the characters that appeared in the sky.

“What are their gods?”.

“Hmm...” Kavindra tried to pry at his memory.

The cries of the residents made Alea lose her chance. Kavindra's explanation was cut off. The villagers who were regrouping pointed towards the sky.

It's only natural that they're hysterical.

This time the characters were missing. Instead, an eyeball sighting

a giant appeared in space. The pupils are bluish green. He moved left and right as if

being peeking at the village area.

Raseyan spontaneously pulled Alea to the back of her body. His premonition says that he must hide the girl from the appearance of the creature.  The physical touch made Alea look back at Raseyan's past.

He saw the location of the first stone that had a blood scratch on the chieftain. The location is right on the river near the village. “Yes, it was a rock I found on the river side” Alea muttered.

“Composed!!!!!!!!!” raseyan's orders to its inhabitants.

Hearing the chief's order, they all immediately lowered their bodies. Some

the young man gave the codes to the wives who were peeking in from a distance.

They entered the house in a hurry. The women closed their entrance with a haystack. It seemed like it was a common way that they often used to protect the women and children of the village.

“Kavindra... Kavindra down!!!!!” yell Raseyan. He only remembered that Kavindra did not understand the language of the locals. Kavindra was apparently unaware of the instructions Raseyan had given.

Alea's hair is getting up. He felt an incredible fear. The girl panicked when she saw her best friend still standing upright and exchanged glances with the mysterious apparition in the sky.

“Kav... Kav... dodge!!!!” scream Alea. However annoying Kavindra was but for Alea, the young man still held some importance to her.

Alea immediately broke away from Raseyan's hold. He ran towards Kavindra who was standing not far from his place.

“Kav.......run!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.”.

Alea was late.

That eyeball in the sky caught the presence of Kavindra.

From the right side of the sighting of the eyeball suddenly appeared a giant palm.

His movements are very fast. Within seconds, the palm arrived in front of Kavindra's face.

The residents automatically raised their spears. It was a terror they never had

a natural. The presence of a mysterious figure from the sky had never been a part of their lives. All this time the days of the residents were only colored by the attacks of ferocious beasts. Undefined mystical creature? This is just the first time!

“Kavindra...............” Alea's scream panicked. If the giant hand reaches Kavindra's body, he is sure that the man will not survive.

Alea was desperate. His steps were not as fast as he had expected. “Kavindra, please.. don't die” he cried sadly.

That giant hand movement was truly amazingly fast. He brought with him a strong wind that threw the inhabitants to the ground, including Alea.

When the palm was opened, there was a disgusting red color visible.

“Kav...............................................................................................” cried Alea.

He was completely shocked as the hand quickly grabbed onto Kavindra's body.

Despondent. Traumatizing. The incident reminded Alea of Devaputra's death as he traveled on Srivijaya Earth.

Raseyan hurriedly threw the spear towards the palm of the hand.

Alea regretted her inability to protect Kavindra.

He could only watch as the silent body of Kavindra sculpted and carried into the sky.

“Why doesn't he scream?” murmured Alea was suspicious. The man was the noisiest man and the installment Alea knew. In a precarious situation like this, the Kavindrabiasa screamed in panic or screamed in fear. But why would he just shut up, Alea asked fretfully.

That night was probably the night Alea would never forget.

He watched with his own eyes, how a dragon appeared from his forehead

Not sure what prompted Alea's courage, the girl desperately called out to the dragon. “Dragon Swarna, take me!!!!!!!!!!!!!”.

Alea widened his hand, he gave a signal for Naga Swarna to pick him up.

As the dragon flew closer to her, the girl snatched away the spears of the people who had fallen on the ground.

“I had to touch the creature to know his identity” whispered Alea who managed to jump onto the dragon's back.

Raseyan.

He did not know that Alea was a dragon rider.

The young man had heard the story of a human being who could control the figures of celestial animals. Before the two shamannya died, they told about the figure of a giant snake rider who will restore the glory of Sundayana.

“Alea? That figure is Alea?” muttered Raseyan worried.

“Release Kavindra!!!!!!!!!!!!!” alea shouted as she thrust the spear into the appearance of a giant hand. The attack caught the creature off guard. His grasp weakened so Alea could snatch Kavindra's body back.

The girl did not want to waste the opportunity. He placed his palm onto one of the giant fingers.

Alea was absorbed into a memory of the creature.

He saw a number of dead civets and hanging squirrels. Around him were huge containers filled with rotten water. He saw strange symbols that were foreign. One resembled a circular snake and the other resembled a headless horse.

the sound of the Swarna Dragon made Alea aware. The dragon had apparently tried to dodge the giant hand attack blindly.

“Dragon Swarna, help me to climb more to the top!”.

The celestial beast followed Alea's orders. He flew higher until their position approached the appearance of a giant eyeball.

Alea threw the spear into the center of the pupil.

The girl's guess is right. The figure is an alien creature that tries to travel between dimensions. Alea's spear throw managed to drive him away. In an instant the sky returned to peace. The mysterious figure simply disappeared.

Likewise with the giant hand that has terrorized the villagers.

Alea hugged the dragon tightly. It has been a long time since the incident on Sundayana land.

The dragon rolled its eyes. He also showed his indulgence to Alea.

The dragon exhaled heavily. It was a sign of his special introduction. It rarely appears in front of humans. But this time the dragon smelled danger. He knew that his master and Alea had no guards in the transitional world dimension.

The legendary animal was determined to violate the norms of the dragons. He decides to look after Alea and Kavindra until the two make it back to the normal world.

“Na... dragon...” groan Kavindra limp.

Dragon Swarna licks Kavindra's face. The dragon's saliva turned out to have healing powers. The young man finally regained consciousness until Alea could breathe with relief. Cavindra's fussiness is an indisputable indicator of recovery. Alea did not want to take a headache even though the best friend returned to throwing jokes is not funny.

For the girl, the safety of Kavindra is more important than her ego.

“What?” alea ketus replied.

The girl smiled wryly. He was suspicious of the words of the beautifully arranged and orderly Kavindra.

Alea squinted her eyes.

Wry face. Cold gazing.

Alea could feel Raseyan's jealousy.

But he didn't want Raseyan to be big-headed. Hadn't he made his choice to Mahesa from the beginning? Raseyan was never in his romance dictionary.

Raseyan's cold nature made Alea and Kavindra clumsy. The young man turned his body.

He was seen telling the residents to return to their homes. Raseyan did not say a word to Alea or Kavindra. He just went over and walked back to his residence.

Alea and Kavindra exchanged glances.

“Sis, where should we sleep tonight?” kavindra whispers in English. He intentionally uses

foreign language so Raseyan doesn't understand it.

“I don’t know…. He looks angry…. Probably, he will kick us out tonnage”.

“You anyway, use have a wedding plan with another guy!” kavindra protests.

“Lo how do I feel? Whose mouth can bucket elo...” reply Alea did not receive.

Alea did not want to sleep outside the cottage today.

It is better for him to swallow his pride than to sleep next to the wild animals around the village.

“Raseyan wait...” call Alea confidently.
