Eps. 23 Xavier's persuasion

The news of Richard the loan shark's death spread quickly in the region.

“Xavier why are you here? Are you taking me now to a place where someone you said could train me in martial arts? Didn't you just say tomorrow?” jorell said at the door to welcome the arrival of the guest, who turned out to be his own friend.

Xavier shook his head.

“Wrong. I didn't come here because of that. But because of something else. It's about Mr. Richard. You remember, don't you, the loan shark guy we met at Mr Charlie's shop?”

Jorell nodded in response. “Then why?”

“There was something strange about his death. You remember not, Mr Charlie told him to come in three hours to get the money to his shop? Well, Mr. Richard died just as the man was about to collect his debt. You're not curious?” xavier is long.

Still at the door and not allowing Xavier to enter, Jorell still faithfully listened to his friend well.

“He has beaten me. What reason do you think I should be curious about and then help her. Just let him die. He deserves to die,” annoyed Jorell. Pain in his back as a result of being thrown by Richrad until now was still felt.

Jorell intended to close the door, he really did not want to if he had to help the loan shark.

“Not for that crazy loan shark, but Mr. Charlie. Mr. Charlie is accused and becomes the suspect of Richard's murder. Are you sure you don't want to help Mr Charlie? Do you think an old man like him is a murderer?” cerocos Xavier was at length, to convince Jorell.

Jorell silently thought, An old and gentle man like Mr. Charlie might not be the killer. But what's that got to do with him?

“Don't tell me you asked me to investigate this death, Xavier. What do you think I'm a detective?”

Jorell closed the door, but Xavier deftly held the door open.

“Xavier, what are you doing?”

“Come Jorell. I know you're not a detective. But I was curious. And we can investigate it together.”

“You think what two little kids like us can do?” Jorell almost closed the door.

“If you help Mr. Charlie, he might be able to help fix the mechanism of your watch's components. You can perfect your time machine.” This was the only chance Xavier had to use to persuade Jorell.

He hoped that this tactic could successfully affect Jorell's mind.

Sure enough, Jorell opened the door and pulled Xavier into the house, then closed the door again.

“Wait for me. I'll be ready now. I'll bring my watch too.”

Jorell left Xavier sitting waiting in the living room, entering the room.

“You're really smart instigating. Quickly get out, before I change my mind.”

Xavier followed behind Jorell, out of the two-story, clean whitewashed house.

***

Jorell and Xavier arrive at Mr. Charlie's house. The store is still open, but the waiter has gone home only to live alone. Mr. Charlie asked them to come home. Because there was a police investigator who came there three hours ago.

“Excuse ... Mr. Charlie,” call Xavier from the outside.

Looking from the outside, Mr. Charlie who was sitting contemplating now got up after hearing a voice calling out to him.

“Sorry, I know this is not a good time to ask you for help, Mr. Charlie. I've reassembled my watch parts with the components I just got from this store. But my watch still doesn't work. Maybe you can help me?”

Jorell handed him his watch. He came home from this store immediately reassembled it, but what was wrong, the clock did not work at all.

Mr. Charlie receives Jorell's watch then checks it quickly.

“I can fix this watch. But my current condition makes it impossible to fix it. You must have heard the news about me, right? Maybe the police will arrest me after this.”

Mr. Charlie shifted back the Jorell watch. His gloomy face was bowed, also bent.

“I don't know what to do? It's my fault that I owe him so bad luck like this. Can I fight the police charges? Even though I'm completely innocent? I didn't commit murder on Richard,” Mr. Charlie said regretfully.

Xavier and Jorell stared at each other. Perhaps their thoughts were the same at this time after hearing Mr. Charlie's long speech. Yams.

“You sure you didn't do that?” ask Jorell.

“Sure. As soon as I am, I will not end someone's life like that. Who wants to be behind bars for decades? But I'm helpless. The knife that was evidence of Richard's murder was in my house. Though I did not know at all with the knife.”

Again, Mr. Charlie let out a long, heavy sigh full of suffering. He thought the shop might be closed, but the store was quite crowded three months later.

“Master, we will try to help you with all our efforts to find out who the real killer is, as long as you want to fix my watch until you can,”, Jorell said.

“Two of you?” Mr. Charlie looked at Xavier and Jorell alternately while raising his pair of brown eyebrows.

She doubted. Sure oes. What can two children like them do for themselves? Can they help themselves?

“I know, Master must have doubts on us. But trust me, we are sincere in helping you. Will there not be a way as long as there is a will to seek the truth? Then the truth will be revealed itself.” Xavier's convinced.

“And the truth will definitely show you the way out,” Jorell added.

Mr. Charlie looked at the two little children before him in turn. From the look of their eyes emanated a sincerity as well as a belief that made him crumble and feel full, there were two children who were worried about him.

“Although I only know you today but I trust you. I hope you can help me. I have high hopes for you both.”

Afterwards he invites Jorell and Xavier to enter his house.

“I'll show you the knife proof.” He then invites Jorell and Xavier into the kitchen.

“This is the knife used to kill Richard. Left here covered in blood.” Mr. Charlie pointed at a sharp knife lying on the floor.

The knife is still there for the next visa process. Looking at the tip of a gouged knife it felt like it was slashed.

“Do not touch it!” hardik Jorell when Xavier will touch the knife. “Your fingerprints will be left there.”

Xavier immediately withdrew his hand and seemed to tremble.

“I know I'm not a detective. But with a gradual and thorough investigation I'm sure I can look for clues and find the culprit,”.

“Master, may I have a small note also pen to you?” ask Jorell.
