"Bak Karin, this is a deposit"
One of the officers brought a bouquet of flowers to my table. I was shocked, the feeling of never ordering flowers.
"Who are you from?"
"I don't know, but I think there's a letter"
I received the flowers. Then immediately check the letter tucked in the middle of the flower.
"Thank you lau"
"Yes, same. Excuse me yaa"
I looked at the flower. Red roses are combined with some dried flowers. I really like this flower. What a beautiful blend.
I opened the tucked-away letter.
"Hopefully your day is happy"
Just a short sentence I received. There is no explanation of who this flower came from. I put it back. Don't want to guess who's behind it. This flower is definitely beautiful.
"Sunday, come"
Samuel walked into the room. Today we had a meeting with a client. Samuel and I will take care of the case.
We will meet at one of the cafes. This time it's a little more complicated. Child abduction cases. I didn't stop thinking after reading the complaint my client gave me. He is suing his son's girlfriend's family on child abduction charges. I was quite surprised by what happened in the midst of their problems.
My client's son has a relationship with his girlfriend to give birth to a child. But the two families did not want to marry them, but they all demanded child custody.
Because the baby lived with his mother, and the condition was getting heated, the baby was finally kidnapped by his father's family. I wonder also what a father deserves to be called a kidnapper.
We got to a cafe. That's our client. He came with his daughter. The mother of the baby. His face seemed to suffer greatly, resisting longing.
"Mom shouldn't have banned us from getting married"
The woman did not accept what had happened to her. He did not defend or substantiate his mother's accusations.
"We love each other, he's my son's father, this wouldn't have happened if you weren't selfish"
"You're a kid, don't be pretentious about what's right for you"
They're fighting arguments. I stared at Samuel who also threw a look of disbelief at me.
"We will try to help as much as possible, what about mediation efforts?"
In looking at this case, it is good not to take the client's side too much. We just need to give them advice that they can decide for themselves.
The lawsuit has been filed in court. Investigators are asking for the issue first through a mediation process between families. But our client refused that. They just want the father of the baby to be the suspect and the baby to be able to return to their family.
"In cases like this, we recommend that we can talk to the opposing party in a familial manner"
The old woman stared in disbelief. It's possible that they hope we recommend them to go through the mediation process. And follow all their plans.
"Please ma, just this once mama follow my will"
The baby's mother kept begging. His face looked fed up with what had happened. He just wants to live quietly.
"Alright, we'll follow all the investigators' words"
Samuel and I can finally breathe. This difficult discussion can finally be completed as well. If only from the beginning this old woman could lower her ego, surely everything would be easily resolved.
After they said goodbye, I just found out if their families used to know each other. But now it is not only the conflict for child custody, but also the grudges between the two families that eventually dominate this problem. They both have the ego and prestige to marry their two children.
The poor story. Engaged in love amid their family's hostility. But what can be done, at this time parents should put aside their egos and be able to understand the condition of their children.
"It's complicated too"
"I'm so hungry, do you want to order something?"
Samuel offered me food. The man opened the menu list. 3 hours just drinking water of course certainly not enough.
"What's your favorite here?"
"I don't know either, first time here"
"I thought you knew, did we change restaurants?"
"There's a recommendation?"
"So, I just ate there yesterday"
Samuel stood up immediately. We'll have lunch somewhere else. I don't want to be disappointed with the menu at this restaurant.
"Much not?"
"No, it's only 10 minutes at most"
Cars drove through the density of the capital. Lunch time has come in. There are many workers who fill every place to eat. If you have a high salary, most of them will go to the mall to visit fast food restaurants. There are also those who want to be economical with eating at street stalls five feet.
If it were for me, it would be all the same. Whether expensive or cheap, as long as it tastes good, I will still enjoy it.
Our car stopped at a Japanese restaurant. I'll eat sushi or ramen. I looked towards Samuel. I guess he'll just take me to an Indonesian restaurant, apparently even here.
"What's wrong? Don't you like Japanese food?"
"It's not like that"
"Yes, come on"
We were greeted with great courtesy by the waiter. The theme of this restaurant is quite unique. We will sit in front of the chef who will cook food directly in front of the eyes of visitors.
It is very authentic with Japanese. From the tableware to the decorations. It was like I was in Japan. This is only in the middle of the city.
"What do you want to order?"
Samuel handed the menu to me. Confused about all the food there. Everything looks good, I'm dizzy choosing it.
"Sushy"
"I ate the ramen yesterday, it was delicious"
"Then I want that"
"Don't want to try this?"
Samuel pointed towards the Japanese curry rice. It looks really good. There is a Japanese egg on top of the rice.
"I'm confused, just order two"
Samuel laughing. Then quickly make an order. The chef directly set up our order. Occasionally there were fire and egg actions that jumped into the air. I'm really amused by all this.
"How does it feel?"
To be honest, this curry is delicious. I've never eaten a very authentic Japanese curry. Maybe because the cook is a native Japanese, so the taste is very similar to the one in Japan.
"Good boy, I like it"
"Try the ramen"
I switched to a ramen bowl. It tastes really good. The smell makes me drunk. This restaurant will be my favorite place to eat after Padang restaurant.
