Daniza dropped her limp body on the chair. His heart was filled with sadness again, because the one who came earlier turned out to be a laundry hotel employee who brought clothes, not Alvin as he expected. 

"Where are you, Mom?" 

The woman stared at the clock on the wall while counting the seconds that passed. I hope Alvin will be here soon. Wanting to go out looking, he hesitated, because he did not really understand the common language used in the city. Besides, Daniza doesn't know anyone in Paris.

Daniza just keeps monitoring the phone and hopes there is at least some news from Alvin.

However, until the morning moves towards noon, even the plane schedule has been missed but Alvin did not return. Daniza has contacted Mama Elvira and Eric to tell her about this. Both of them were worried, because not usually Alvin left and did not return for a long time. 

Shortly after, the sound of the bell rang out a second time, making Daniza run towards the door.

The woman had to be surprised and wonder, on the doorstep were three policemen. I don't know what news.

Daniza's screams echoed in the sky of Paris that afternoon. Almost his body staggered backwards when he saw the car that Alvin used last night had just been lifted from the bottom of the river by a tow truck. 

While Alvin's body was found by the river in a state of unconsciousness. Some medical personnel were seen installing emergency breathing apparatus. The atmosphere around began to get crowded and panic enveloped.

The heartbreaking sight presented in plain sight made Daniza like she was losing her mind. He rushed towards the crowd hysterically.

"Mas Alvin!"

Some of the men immediately blocked and explained that he had given the health worker space to do first aid to the victim. 

"Please, relax, Miss. Let the officer do his best to save her."

Daniza. She could only cry for her husband from a safe distance. Alvin was transported to an ambulance that was available. He was then allowed to get into the ambulance. 

Along the way to the hospital, Daniza's cries accompanied. Her heart felt squeezed strongly to see her husband's wet and pale body, following some visible wounds on his body. 

"Wake up, Mas, don't go. You promised you wouldn't leave me, right?" whispered the woman. However, after many times calling there was no response from Alvin. He was silent not moving.

Upon arrival at the hospital, Alvin immediately received treatment from several expert doctors. Daniza sat with her heart raging in the waiting room. I don't know why he lost all his energy. To just cry, he seemed unable. Fear is like paralyzing his entire nerves. 

Shortly after, the phone rang. Daniza glanced at the phone screen where Eric's name was on. About an hour ago, Daniza had contacted Mama Elvira to inform Alvin of the accident. Mama Elvira was shocked. Luckily, Eric was with her. 

"How's Alvin?" Eric's voice sounded soft. Daniza is sure Eric is holding back from crying. 

"Still being treated by a doctor. Brother Eric same mom quickly come, yes. I'm scared here." 

"Yes, Daniz. But you have to stay calm and don't panic. I've already called a friend who lives in Paris. Danny's going there to accompany you for a while. Tomorrow I'm with Aunt Elvira also going to go there."

Daniza did not answer. His tongue feels stiff. However, he was still able to digest well every word Eric had. 

"Hello, Daniz? You got it, right?" 

"Yes, Brother."

The call was interrupted after Eric tried to calm Daniza down.

The woman went to a glass window. From there he could see the activity that was happening inside the room. However, unable to see Alvin because it was blocked by a dividing curtain.

Daniza just got an explanation from the team of doctors about the next treatment step, considering Alvin's condition is quite alarming. 

Luckily Eric and Alvin's old friend, Danny, who lives in Paris took the time to come and accompany Daniza. So Daniza felt very helpful in communicating with the doctor. 

After taking care of the hospital administration, Danny paid a minute to get things done. Daniza chose to go into the room where her husband lay unconscious.

Seeing Alvin's injured body in some parts made Daniza feel like she was slashed. Never before had he seen Alvin as helpless as he was now. 

"You can hear me, right? You said you wouldn't leave me. I want to take that promise" whispered Daniza to Alvin's ear. "You're gonna survive, right?" 

Daniza kissed the back of her husband's hand. Then shake the arm slowly. 

"Wake, Mas. What should I say to Eric's mom and sister later? They'll be mad at me for letting you go alone." 

Sobs filled the room again.
