Dungeon Builder: The Demon King'S Labirinth Is A Modern City

Dungeon Builder: The Demon King'S Labirinth Is A Modern City
Chapter 9: Skeleton Squad

About a week had passed since I heard the story about the [Crimson Cavern] from Marcho.

Over the past week, I have been making a stockpile of weapons using [Creation]. All while focusing on leveling up.

Thus, even at this moment, Tenko was engaged in battle.

Free from danger, Tenko dodged the attack from the C rank Orthros monster and proceeded to approach him. He beat him in a punch using his rifle, the Remilton M870P.

Orthros turned into blue particles and disappeared. At the same time, Tenko's body shone pale.

"Oto-san, I've become level 10!"

"Good job."

"With this, we can now go to the [Crimson Cavern]!"

Finally, Tenko reached level 10. I guess it was because of his great excitement but his eyes twinkled while his delicate fox tail swung.

I have reached level 10 in front of him so that means Tenko and I have then completed the requirements given to us by Marcho for us to be taken to the [Crimson Cavern].

"Oto-san, let's go. Quick, let's go to Marchosias-sama's place! ”

Tenko led me by the hand as if saying she couldn't wait anymore.

We could only fight three times a day so we started to accumulate quite a lot of pressure.

"Not not today. Let's go tomorrow. "

"Muuu. Why?"

"I want to give the Skeleton a final adjustment."

Every day, I make M&K MK 416 assault rifles. In the same time frame, I also bought nine frames.

I was able to afford a Skeleton because of the 660 DP I gained by doing daily monster hunts.

Storage of monsters, which was a Demon Lord skill, allowed one to carry up to 10 of their monsters. If that was the case, I thought it would be a waste because the number of my monsters was far below the limit. So, I bought a Skull.

Each of them were cheap monsters that cost only 20 DP. When created to be at a fixed level, they would randomly be at levels 1 through 10. Therefore, it does not matter if they are created at a fixed level or not and if so, somehow, the better option is to let them be able to grow because, in their case, they are, they can go up to level 20.

By the way, in the case of Celestial Fox, they would be randomly born around level 70 to 80. If they could level up, they could rise as high as level 90.

"The skull, like, is a weak monster, isn't it?"

Tenko did not like the Skeleton. Well, she's a girl so that's understandable.

“Well, yes, they are indeed weak. I won't deny that. "

The status of the Skeleton was terrible.

Race: rank Skeleton G

Name: No name mentioned

Level 1

Physical Strength: E +

Durability: E

Agility: F

Magic Power: F

Luck: G

Specialty: G

Skill: The deceased

The action itself compared it to Tenko sassy. From the beginning, the Skeleton had no record except for the cost for performance efficiency.

"I can fight alone."

"Maybe but even if they were just guarding our backs, I would appreciate it. They'll also give us the extra weapons we need. So, they will fight with us. Let me show you that they are not just things to get rid of. "

The total attack power in this world was calculated with the addition. Even if the attacker's own offensive capabilities are low, the firepower of the gun will compensate for it. The Skeleton's attack power equipped with the M&K MK416 assault rifle can be compared to a B rank monster.

Tenko had such a dislike for the Skull that she was not there to witness their training but this seemed like the right opportunity to show her their abilities.

“[Release] Framework”

I called out to the nine Skeletons that I stored in different dimensions.

Each of them carried an assault rifle in their hands.

“Skull, you can now put up a fight because of my training. Today will be your last day of training. "

"..."

They are just bones so they don't understand things like emotions. For now, they only have enough intelligence to listen to my commands. Issuing a response was something they were unable to do.

Teaching monsters with low intelligence was a difficult task; I almost gave up halfway.

Nonetheless, after all my difficulties, I was able to teach them three commands.

"All members, ready!"

The skeletons prepared their weapons to the target I designated.

Before they shoot, they must first aim at the target. For this example, the target was a wooden pole wearing armor.

"All members, shoot!"

The moment I said those words, the Skull started shooting.

The sound of the tatatatata is like music in my ears.

The MK416 held by the Skeleton is not in full-auto mode but is instead set to semi-automatic mode.

Full automatic mode is a system where there is automatic operation between reloading and firing of bullets. In other words, as long as the trigger was pulled, the weapon would continue to fire in quick succession.

In contrast, semi-automatic mode is a system where only reloading of bullets is done automatically. The number of bullets fired will be equal to the number of times the trigger is pulled.

If a full automatic mode is selected, the Skulls will simply exhaust their ammunition without thinking.

Ideally, I want it to be set at full automatic mode and just make them do the blast by lifting their fingers off the trigger. However, I could not make them remember such a complicated action and hence I gave up just like that.

"All members, stop."

The skeleton released the trigger and stopped firing.

The commands I can remind you of are three: ready, fire, and stop.

I guess they can fight somehow.

It took a while for them to reach this point. At first, they not only thought of the gun as a blunt weapon but they also had trouble pulling the trigger.

It took four days but they finally learned it. Well, even up to this point, they still can't change the magazine so I have to keep that in mind in every battle.

But it's worth it. The sight of the nine Skeletons being fired at once was an astonishing sight. When I have my own Dungeon in the future, I will increase the number and also build more ferocious units.

"How's that? It's amazing, isn't it? ”

“But Oto-san, if you would have trouble teaching them such things, wouldn't it be much better to make monsters smarter? Mythological Foxes, monsters in the same lineage as Tenko, smart and strong, you know? ”

"I know, but it's expensive."

The Mythological Fox was a B rank monster. Their basic abilities are high as well as their intelligence. Learning how to use weapons might be an easy thing to do for them.

However, each of them would cost 1200 points. I will be able to buy 60 Skeletons with that amount.

"I know ... But the Skull seems inefficient to me. When they died, which they did in an instant, all the time needed to train them would be wasted. In that case, right from the start, a powerful and hard-to-kill monster had to be bought, right? ”

I've thought about it.

The skeleton is cheap and I will still have a weapon. But unfortunately, the time required to train them could never be regained.

No, wait

"wait. What if I create a monster that will train the Skeleton and then let that person take care of the Skeleton? ”

Simple if you think about it.

There were many monsters like the Lich that made use of the undead. Such a monster was extremely intelligent and was also capable of comprehending speech. They might even be able to do a much better job than I did in the Skeleton training.

I'll think about making the undead by the time I get the original medal.

"Thank you, Tenko. I have decided. I will think about making the undead ruler as soon as I get a medal related to the undead. "

Moreover, if I am not mistaken, there should be a fellow among the undead who does something like using corpses and making the undead further. If he used the corpses of powerful humans and monsters, then he could create powerful monsters at no cost.

My dreams keep getting bigger.

“Uggghhh. Tenko doesn't like the undead but for Oto-san, Tenko will survive! "

"You're awesome, Tenko."

"Yay! ♪ ”

So, the Skeleton training ended.

After that, we reported to Marcho that we had reached level 10. It was decided that tomorrow, Tenko and the undead, equipped with weapons, would head for the [Crimson Cavern].
