Dungeon Builder: The Demon King'S Labirinth Is A Modern City
Chapter 11: The Weak Point of the Framework

Finally, my first Dungeon exploration.

I am here not only to hunt monsters but also because I want to properly inspect the construction of this Dungeon created by another Demon King. I will use this as a reference when I build my own Dungeon in the future.

My current thought was to place the first floor above the ground and build a rich city on it. And then, the second floor and beyond would spread underground, where I would deploy a large number of monsters and traps so that my crystals would not break.

Since the DP would be obtained from the humans gathered in the city on the first floor, the underground floor would not be built to attract adventurers. Instead it would be a cruel place whose only purpose was to kill the intruder.

When I thought that this would be a tense exploration, Tenko yawned.

“Oto-san. There's nothing to do. "

"Yes you're right."

We walked in a Dungeon that looked like the inside of a volcano.

Dirt and rocks surrounded the cave and red magma in the distance illuminated it.

I was tense and anxious about what kind of exploration was going to be, but it seemed like it was completely unnecessary. The reason for that is ………

"YYYAAAAA!"

The giant salamanders that could and would swallow humans all roared forward and the air burned. I know this from experience, it is a power equivalent to a C rank.

However, tatatatatata, likes music to my ears.

As the huge lizard with fire coming out of its mouth appeared, the Skulls shot out simultaneously, their bullets like a swarm of bees.

By no means were enemy monsters weak, the stats of a C rank monster were meaningless to mock. However, the Skeleton's offensive capabilities were too high.

That skeleton, of course, showed no reaction.

“……”

Without bragging, the Skulls lowered their weapons and began walking.

They were heartless precision machines that completed their task in full tranquility. They are pure professionals.

I estimate the number of bullets left based on the number they fired. I concluded that there was no need to reload. No matter how much training they did, the Skull could not be made to remember how to turn the magazine on its own so the task of managing the number of bullets was left to me.

Looking at the Skull, Tenko suddenly puffed out her cheeks.

"I think I should do it first again!"

Tenko stomped her feet in frustration.

"Well, they can't help it. Their range is different from yours. ”

The skulls were under Ready and Fire's command so if they found anything, they would immediately shoot him.

In addition, I split them into two groups, the front and back groups, and made them keep an eye on all directions.

The skeletons performed better than expected, giving instant death to any monsters the moment they found them. The 400-meter effective range of the rifle is not just for show.

On the other hand, Tenko rifles only had an effective range of 50 meters. Before Tenko had a chance to be near the monster, the Skeleton would have already shot down.

“Oto-san. Tenko also wants to fight !! ”

"I'll keep you in reserve when monsters that Skulls can't handle appear."

The monsters the Skeleton could not handle were those whose movements were too fast that the Skeleton could not land a decent attack and whose defense was too strong that a 5.56mm bullet could not penetrate.

In such an occasion, it was Tenko's turn to shine.

No matter how nimble his opponent was, it would be easy for Tenko to chase after them.

And he is equipped with a rifle, the Remilton M870P which is equivalent to the power of a large caliber rifle. Almost all our enemies will agree to his power.

Tenko seemed unsure but for now, she had calmed down.

"But being at a party really helps a lot."

Thanks to Succubus I know the existence of the party. He taught me everything I know about the party.

The maximum possible party member is ten and the experience gained by him is distributed equally among the members. Moreover, all the DP went to the Demon King.

There is no reason not to use it.

In fact, the Skulls had already raised their levels earlier and for Tenko, she had gained a comparable amount of experience.

Making the Skeleton able to grow at the level was the right decision. At this rate, it seemed that they would be above level 10 in an instant.

When I felt someone's gaze on me and turned around in response, I saw that Succubus turned his gaze between me and the Skull.

"You really are the [Creation] Demon King. I would never have imagined the Skull to be this strong. "

The skeletons that were usually easily defeated even by C rank monsters were stared at by Succubus in astonishment.

“Only their attack power is equivalent to B rank. However, their defense remains the same. They would still die with just one punch. ”

“We never know. Sudden attacks may occur. Well, even if they die, it's not a big loss. After all, their cheapness was their selling point. ”

Even if the Skeleton dies, only 20 DP will be lost so it won't hurt my finances.

That is the advantage offered by Skeleton ...... Just don't think about the time it takes to train them.

As I pondered that, the ground trembled. Pretty close.

"KyuU!"

A high-pitched shout rose and then the enemy jumped out from the ground, right in the middle of our formation. It was a fire snake. When I looked at him, his name and rank came to my mind. It seems that my level up has improved my Demon Lord abilities and now, I can not only see the enemy level but also his name, rank and also ability. Unfortunately, at my current level, it only applies to D rank monsters and the details of their parameters are not visible.

Race: Flame Viper, D rank

Name: No name mentioned

Level: 38

Skill:

The underground movement

Flames

The skeleton was completely helpless against the fire snake that had emerged from the ground. The snake wrapped its body around the Skeleton closest to where the snake appeared. The Skeleton had a paper-thin defense of a G rank monster so of course it was destroyed in an instant.

I clicked my tongue on what was happening. The enemy is right in the middle of our formation so ordering the Skulls to fire their weapons is impossible.

"Skeleton, stop!"

I issued an order to stop firing at the Skeleton that was ordered in advance to shoot at any enemy as soon as they found it. Otherwise, they would have fallen for friendly fire.

I gritted my teeth at the fact that aside from the Skeleton's lack of defensive ability, situations like this were also their weaknesses.

However, if the Skeleton stopped shooting, it only meant that the snake was allowed to do whatever it wanted. And so, the fire snake leaped onto the next Skeleton.

"Will not let you!"

As Tenko said so, she ran forward. He could not use his rifle when his allies gathered together so he took out a large military grade blade hanging on his back.

Instead of a knife, it is more of a machete ( ⁇ ). It was a jet-black heavy knife with a length of 50 cm.

Tenko did not hesitate to firmly grip the head of the fire snake. He then raised a large military knife above his head and a moment later, cut the snake's head off.

The snake's headless body moved and trembled. There was nothing the snake could do, even with all its powerful vitality, once it lost its mind.

"Oto-san, I did it!"

Tenko turned towards me and while her hand was holding the severed head of the snake, her face was innocent.

"Good work, Tenko."

That's really. Had he not defeated the fire snake instantly, two or even three Skulls might have suffered damage.

As usual, the snake turned into particles of light. The skull I had trouble teaching him how to use a gun also turned into particles of light.

"What's this?"

The snake's body did not completely disappear. Instead are hard fangs.

When I picked it up and tapped on it, such a sound almost rang metal.

"Bra, item drop."

Succubus told me in a slightly cheerful tone.

"A drop of stuff?"

“Yes, if one is lucky, the part of the monster where magic power is concentrated will remain after the monster's death. Long-lived monsters are more likely to give items a drop. There were some among the humans who challenged Dungeons to drop this item. ”

I'm seeing. That's for sure why I'm barely going to see the drop item in Dungeon Marcho. After all, I only fought with monsters that came from the Maelstrom that were just newborn monsters.

“Thank you for telling me. And then, I thought I would delay using the Framework for a while. "

Although unilaterally banging our enemies far out of their reach is great, if an unexpected situation like this, where the enemy managed to shorten the distance, once again happens, it happens, their fragility will not escape punishment.

As I thought before, I want a commander. A commander who could move the Skulls as if they were his own limbs.

“Oto-san, I have a great idea! Stop using this Skeleton and make a Mythological Fox instead. They are strong, they can talk, they are intelligent, and rather than having these bones, you will have many cute foxes! ”

"...... Well, maybe someday."

I will not have enough DP. Moreover, I want to create an army of not just ten or twenty but hundreds of monsters right away. The Mythological Fox was too pricy for that. However, I am not saying I am not interested in having many foxes. Maybe someday when I have a little extra DP.

So, while the Skeletons might almost have their enemies, this would mark the end of their first leveling up session.

Losing one Skeleton that had completed its training was painful but it would serve as a lesson and I have thought about how to make the most of this learned lesson.
