Dungeon Builder: The Demon King'S Labirinth Is A Modern City
Chapter 12: Tenko's younger sister

We have been back and forth to the [Crimson Cavern] for about three weeks now since our first visit there.

Today is no exception.

Tenko ran inside the cave. He found an enemy.

The target this time was a red eagle gliding in the sky.

Of course, it was no ordinary eagle. It was a C rank monster, a fire-eating bird.

It would move from above, using its sharp beak and claws to attack.

Although it was what people called a narrow cave, the eagle flew while skillfully maneuvering itself.

Catching a fire-eating bird might be a difficult task. But not for Tenko.

"Redy!"

He fired his rifle, the Remilton M870P.

He actually made use of both types of bullets. What he fired this time was bullet skin.

It was a kind of bullet that exploded after being fired from a crude gun.

So, the shell of the bullets scattered in the wide arc and the red eagle flying at high speed in the air were easily hit. The red eagle was struck on the wing and fell down.

Following it up, Tenko charged. He slipped the pump along the barrel of the rifle, deftly loading the next bullet. His shotgun was filled with alternating bullets and bullets and the next one to be fired was, of course, a very high-powered snail shell.

He hit the enemy on the torso and made the body of the red eagle scattered.

"How, Oto-san? Did you see!?"

He turned around happily.

“Yes, I saw it clearly. You're amazing, Tenko. ”

"Yay! ♪ ”

The fox's tail is swinging.

She loves to hunt and gets into a good mood every time she moves her body.

In recent times, I have deployed several Skeletons whose job is just to guard our backs. I then left all the enemies in front for Tenko. I have done so because it is futile to share experience points to the Skulls who have reached their maximum level. Their maximum level if made to be able to grow, was 20.

Besides all that, I just want to let Tenko do whatever pleases her.

"Let's go back a little bit."

"Alright, Oto-san."

Fatigue will hinder our judgment so it is better not to exhaust ourselves and save the strength to come back.

Hunting every day made the Tenko level rise to 30 while I was slightly behind at 29.

From around the time he reached level 30, his level development barely moved. According to Succubus, high ranking monsters have a harder time leveling up. Our level might not move much after this if we only fight C rank monsters as our enemies.

"Oto-san, can we eat something delicious after we return?"

"Give it to me."

My level has increased and so has my MP. It went up to 3450 so I had some leeway on my MP usage. That looseness consisted mostly of fulfilling Tenko's wishes.

Today, I will fully restore his spirit.

"Finally tomorrow, yeah."

“What's up, Oto-san? Why are you grinning? "

"Tenko will soon have a younger brother or sister."

The medal can only be done once a month and the privilege to make it will finally come back to me tomorrow.

"Tenko ... younger brother or sister?"

"Yes. I would make it using my [Creation] medal, the [Earth] medal I got from Marcho, and then the imitation medal. That new monster would be another S rank monster like Tenko. ”

"...... S rank."

I remember what Marcho told me. If both medals used were A rank medals, there was a 1/3 chance of having a B rank monster and a 2/3 chance of having an A rank monster.

And if A rank and B rank medals are used, there is a 2/3 chance of making B rank monsters and a 1/3 chance of having A rank monsters.

Now, if my A rank Creation medal is then added, it's okay to think that the result will go up with the whole rating.

In other words, if I use my medal with the original medal of A [Earth] rank and imitation of B rank of [Beast], [People], or [Fire], it is, there is a chance that an S rank monster will be born .

And that's probably what I need.

My [Creation] medal states that: 『This allows the maker to select the desired result from millions of possible results』.

In short, S rank is pretty much guaranteed.

Although, if an imitation medal was not an imitation of an A rank medal, the chances of making an S rank monster would not exist in the first place.

…… But this is something I only know by intuition.

S is the highest rank. All the monsters that could no longer be sorted as A rank were all together at S rank. By that definition, every S rank monster would not be the same as the others in terms of their abilities.

A high-rank monster like Tenko might not be able to be created if even one imitation medal was mixed during fusion.

"Are you not happy to have a younger brother or sister?"

Tenko looked depressed.

"Oto-san."

He gripped my arm tightly.

"What's up, Tenko?"

"If the new monster is stronger than Tenko, does Oto-san not need Tenko anymore?"

Tenko's entire face was agitated and looked at me with her eyes turned upside down.

Some tears threatened to fall.

How ridiculous, there's no need to worry like that.

"I promise. I really wouldn't do that. I like Tenko. Even if the new monster is stronger than you, I will always need you. ”

I hugged him and patted his head. And when I did, he leaned towards me.

Tenko may be a cunning, clever, and calculating child, but she is also a lonely child.

And a very spoiled child too.

“Yay ♪! That's a promise, Oto-san! ”

"Yes, I know, I promise."

Exactly like that, Tenko kissed my cheek.

"Tenko !?"

"It's a kiss promise. Oto-san should really, keep his promise. "

Maybe it was because he himself felt embarrassed but his face was flushed red and separated from me. He then ran towards the transfer array that Succubus was preparing.

After we returned to our home in Marcho Dungeon, the two of us, Tenko and I, ate.

The skeleton was saved. There's not enough room for them here.

Kinda awkward. She was still embarrassed by the kiss before.

I used [Creation] to make her favorite food, steak, but she still ate slowly.

While I was thinking that, he opened his mouth.

"Oto-san, what monster are you going to make this time?"

His voice shakes a little.

Perhaps it was his desperate attempt to break the ice.

"Oh yeah. I was originally thinking of making undead-type monsters with a higher rank. ”

Training the Skeleton cost a lot of effort.

If I can summon high ranking monsters with high intelligence and can also command a Skeleton at will, I would then be able to train the Skeleton more easily and not mention a more efficient way than what I am currently doing.

"You talk like you won't anymore."

"Yes. After all, the [Earth] medal is the only real medal I have right now. I don't seem to have a great choice if we consider the attributes that the imitation medal will add and my [Creation]. ”

[Earth] and the undead do not have poor compatibility but that does not mean they are also incompatible.

If that's the case, I think it would be better for me to wait for a more compatible medal.

"I understand but then, what are you going to do? It would be Tenko's younger sister or brother so it must be funny. ”

Tenko.

His awkwardness gradually disappeared. That nice.

"I thought I'd make a dwarf that could make a blacksmith. [Earth] and dwarves have excellent compatibility. Also, I will use a copy of [Person]. Eventually, I will turn [Creation] into [Alchemy]. "

I have heard about the existence of [Alchemy] from Marcho. He taught me as much as he could about medals that seemed useful. The lesson will definitely be used as a guideline on what monsters I will make.

I intend to summon the highest ranked dwarves using [Earth], [People], and [Alchemy].

"Why a dwarf? They're not that strong. "

"Well, they weren't really for the battle. I plan to use it for their blacksmithing abilities. "

"But isn't Oto-san's weapon strong enough?"

“Yes, they do, but don't you want to see them become stronger? Let's take your rifle, the Remilton M870P, for example. If we increase the amount of powder and also increase the size of the bullets, the attack power will surge. ”

“Woah, that's awesome! Tenko wants that gun! "

Tenko's eyes sparkled as she imagined it as a new toy to play with.

I smiled wryly at that.

“For a rifle like Tenko's, the size of the bullet is measured by size. The smaller the number of gauges, the greater the caliber it will become. The power of the gun will also increase. The standard for the Remilton M870P is a 12 gauge shell. However, shells range from 4 gauge to 24 gauge. The strength of 4 gauge and 12 gauge differs about three times. But, unfortunately, the Remilton M870 only uses 12 gauge and there is no rifle in my memory that uses a 4 gauge shell. ”

4 The gauge shell is a very unique shell. The size of 12 gauge is 18.1mm in diameter but the 4 gauge shell is 25.2mm in size, measuring approximately 1.5 times larger.

Even bears and sea lions are no match for 10 gauge shells and 4 gauges are really only used when fighting something like a tank.

“It's disappointing. I want to shoot a triple powered 4 gauge. "

“Tenko may be disappointed, but it is only natural that such a thing is not in my memory. Their record is too strong so it is impractical. No one can use it. "

“No problem for Tenko. Tenko strong! "

What Tenko said was right.

The physical strength of the monsters might only be capable of handling a 4 gauge rifle.

"That might not be a problem for Tenko but her own weapon might not be able to bear it."

4 gauge guns were used in an era when black powder was the main component whereas modern rifles use smokeless powder.

Smokeless powder provides more strength than black powder so a weapon that can survive use with 4 gauge shells made of smokeless powder may not exist.

“Weapons have no guts at all. I hope they will work harder. "

He puffed his cheeks and said things that did not make sense.

I don't understand what he's feeling.

"Another thing, there is no 4 gauge shell in my memory to begin with so I can't make with my [Creation]."

I can't make it so of course it doesn't exist.

"Oto-san wicked. I am not excited anymore. "

"Don't give up so soon ... I'm just saying that I can't use [Creation]. If by any chance we have an incredible blacksmith, they will be able to dismantle the weapon I made using [Creation], check its construction, make a gauge shell of 4, make it, and reconstruct a rifle that can use the 4 gauge shell. Moreover, there was a magical metal in this world. If the bullet was made using this magic metal, the bullet itself would increase the power of the weapon. And if we make a gun using magic metal, it might be able to survive firing 4 big bullets. ”

That is my goal; to upgrade our weapons.

Moreover, if I become greedy, I hope for mass production of weapons that do not depend on my [Creation].

I am aware of the performance of the Skulls through our daily levelling battles and I aim to push them beyond that.

"I understand. Dwarves really are the best fit! They would make Tenko rifles even more amazing !! ”

Tenko was excited, suddenly straightening her delicate fox tail.

It looked like someone was happy with his new favorite toy.

Yes, I am the same.

My mind went from our new friend, the dwarf, to the new weapon he was about to make.
