Final Exams

Trained along with many new lessons and teachings that grandfather Kerto gave me also to Devano for about a week, finally we both have grown stronger and can control the spiritual power we have, even grandfather Kerto said we can be called the controller of the spiritual element now.

I'm very happy because our efforts and the hard work I've put in these few days have paid off little by little, although it is quite tiring and requires extra patience but all the upbringing of Kerto's grandfather really has a big influence on me as well as on Devano.

I who previously could not bring up or eliminate the fire in my hands as I wished can now control it well, even I can make a sword out of fire and can summon my spiritual beast which is none other than a phoenix blazing in flames.

Although I have not been able to control the phoenix yet but at least now I can control the power of the flames that are running through my body.

Devano was also able to control his strength he could feel the damage to every plant he made experimental materials, he said, even now his inner eye can see quite clearly the damage in the plant so that it is easier and faster for him to recover the problematic cells in it.

Not only was Devano's body much stronger, he could run twenty rounds in just a few hours, though before running three rounds he had fallen into lethargy and thirst that I had to give him the fruit of that energy.

Today is the final exam day for me and Devano to see how great we are after the lessons Kerto's grandfather has been giving us all along.

I'm already very impatient to show you the power of fire as well as the fire sword that I can control easily, while on the other hand Devano is also ready to injure himself and treat it in a very fast time, he is even willing to sacrifice himself as a trial material of the power he has.

Until finally Grandpa Kerto arrived and he first approached me and tested me to throw the power of my fire to have to defeat a tree so-called events that he created with illusion.

I immediately nodded in understanding and grandfather Kerto immediately told me to put up the horses and prepare to do this final strength test.

I saw the wand instantly turn into a small tree that floated in the air and did not stay still, until the tree grew, it began to split itself and create even more illusions.

I kept trying to focus and feel the origin of this most powerful magic energy, slowly I closed my eyes and felt it properly until I had found its location, then I opened my eyes by directly pointing to one of the trees on the right.

I already felt very confident after watching him for a while longer.

Until I directly threw my fireball at the tree, and my guess turned out to be very precise, when my fireball hit the tree immediately the surrounding illusion was destroyed and the tree also immediately returned to being a stick.

"Wa..prok...prok...prok...prok...hebat Emely you deserve to be called the ruler of the fire element now. Remember that! Maintain this ability of yours because you are the most powerful among the owners of the other elements" said Grandfather praising me while clapping his hands and his face looks happy and quite satisfied with the results I got in this final exam.

I also felt very relieved after finishing the final test which made me tense up all night and barely able to fall asleep last night for fear of the results, she said, now Grandfather started to look at Devano and started testing him, devano's initial plan to injure himself and make himself as an experimental material was not allowed by grandfather Kerto and grandfather instead appointed me as a trial material for the current Devano exam.

"Emely come here, hurt yourself quickly or grandpa will make it" said grandfather just like that,

"Grandfather, what's wrong with you? Do I really have to be the victim, why not just let him be the experiment for himself?" I feel like I don't accept it, though,

"He'll lose energy if he treats himself with his wounded state and it will lower his skill in healing, don't you remember him huh!" Grandpa snapped glaring at me.

I do know about it but it still feels like I'm upset and can't accept Grandpa Kerto's decision to sacrifice me.

"But cake, there are many magical herbs around here why don't they just be used as experimental materials, what if I get hurt and he fails to treat me, aaahhh, I don't want that!" I still refuse to do it.

Grandfather looked at me sharply and he suddenly lifted his wand and scratched my hand suddenly to make my hand hurt very big, even the blood came out so much and I could only stare in shock seeing my hand hurt deep enough like that, I also immediately fell down limp.

"Aahh....a...a..ahh...my hand?" I felt weak and it was unbearable pain.

Grandpa Kerto immediately told Devano to do his duty as soon as possible before I would bleed out.

"Devano what else are you waiting for, now that everything is in my hands, he will die if his blood is let out like that in a long time" said Kerto's grandfather revealed.

Hearing him I got more panicked and felt so limp that I did not even dare to look at my injured hand again, devano sat in front of me and he held the wound in my hand with both hands and closed his eyes focusing on himself, the light began to be seen from between Devano's hands that touched the wound on my hand and did not take long the wound on my hand to shrink quickly and heal as usual without any scars or so on.

There were only remnants of blood on the ground and I immediately checked my hand again with jelly.

"Aahhhhhhhhh.... My hand, this precious hand? It's lucky you made it, otherwise I'll burn you alive!" I snapped while looking at Devano sharply.

I was really relieved that my hand had been saved even though I felt a little weak due to the considerable blood loss, but Devano helped me to my feet, she said, he stretched out his hand and held me back to the cave of Atonement until Grandpa Kerto fed us a fruit of energy that instantly made our bodies both excited as well as vit as they just woke up and did not feel hungry one bit.

"Aaahhhh, thankfully there is this fruit, otherwise I would have had to be infused a few days to recover energy" I grumbled softly.

"Have not gone overboard, you are quick to rest and do not be too happy with what you have mastered, it is still nothing compared to the taste of the demon Abaddon" grandpa said making me immediately nod understanding his words.
