Chapter 156 The Spiritual Altar

Under the unknown influence of the concept they were unable to get rid of, their spirit altars lost their function, their protective armor gave up and even the Immortal Qi present within their bodies stopped flowing. It was as if they had stopped functioning at that moment and the end result was their bodies crashing into a warship, breaking many bones.

"Ugh"

John spewed out a mouthful of fresh blood, his eyes were red and his armor cracked in some places. Sina's hair was messy, he had blood all over his body and his face was extremely pale, his breathing was breathless.

The 1000 people on board were in worse shape than them. Some fainted, while 30 died. People who did not faint or die, were covered in blood with almost all of their bones broken. It was a sad sight to see.

"The sky is fair and beautiful. Everything must follow the laws of nature!"

Sina struggled to stand up, these lines of words jarring in his head, John and the others were no exception either. His body was weak but his eyes lit up brighter.

"Heaven is fair. The 3rd Heaven is ruled by a group of heartless fools who consider their laws wise and just. Killing millions is just a fucking game for all of you"

He looked up at the sky and roared, deep hatred and madness emerging from his eyes.

"grunts"

John spewed out a mouthful of fresh blood once again, in the sky, 12 huge swords made of clouds formed. Behind these words, the warriors of heaven who wore gold as big as a planet reached out to hold this newly formed sword.

"Haha someday when I become a god, I will overturn the 3rd and 4th heaven, haha just wait and see. Heaven Ji and Li will fall under my hands one day, you hear me!"

John vomited blood once more before the shocking pressure knocked him unconscious. Even Sina fainted on the spot as well as their other men. The 12 warriors in the sky raised their heavenly swords and cut down.

Space shattered and the sky collapsed like shards of glass. Roaring sounds filled the lower realms with startling cries of ghosts and Immortal Qi. But just as the sword was about to reach John and his team, a huge mountain descended from the spatial crack.

From the top of the mountain, a huge hand made purely from extraterrestrial power pulled the warship into a crack in the crack before the sword could land its attack.

As soon as the warship was pulled, the huge mountain looked as if it had disappeared into a different dimension altogether. Everything happened so fast that only a few seconds had passed between the 12 fallen heavenly swords, the huge mountain that exploded, and the crack in space that chased away John and Sina.

"Huh. Maybe this will show you the truth of heaven's nephew"

The old sage of the Michael family sat on the top of the mountain with a frown. The mirror in front of him showed bloodied John and Sina as they passed through the room to return home.

If one looked from afar, one would see that the huge mountain the old sage was sitting on looked like a spirit altar that had a staggering 21 levels. It was said that the highest in the Immortal who had ever left while on the path of cultivation and creating their spirit altar was 27 levels, one below the peak of the 28th Immortal realm.

Those who were able to advance to the 27 altars were considered to be the kings of their generation. It is very difficult to build a spirit altar, one would need a lot of resources, time, understanding of their martial arts such as the truth in the concepts and laws they learned and the understanding of their spirit/soul.

When all these factors were met, one would be able to utilize the power of heaven and earth to build their spirit altar. Some individuals with high intelligence would be able to build their altars in dozens of years at a time between each level of the altar. The higher the altar, the more power heaven and earth could wield, but the difficulty in building a higher altar was staggering and long.

It was also the key to becoming an Immortal being, so once one summoned the Door of Immortality, they needed to use Immortal Qi to build their altar from the ground up.

Most super geniuses after reaching the Immortal realm would have two spirit altars thus making them a two-tier spirit altar expert upon entering that realm. But it was a 1/100 chance that such a genius would appear, to exceed two levels was a 1/10,000 chance and had only happened in the past 10 million years.

That person is the 3rd lord of Heaven Ji!

The Great Mist World

In a huge world surrounded by fog since the past 12 million years, Jia Jadedragon, Jia Lin's father, was seen sitting atop a thick cloud of silver fog. The features of the man were smooth and well-cut, around his body, Immortal Qi surged up and down without end.

The laws of the world seemed to be sucked into his body every time he drew and exhaled. The view is all so amazing. He fused his hands together as the fog under his feet spun as they forcefully tore a hole through space. Several different shades of light could be seen inside as a bird made of silver mist flew out.

"What did you find out about the little guy?"

The silver bird exploded into many magic lines that appeared with hundreds of different characters, each as if telling a different story.

"Stupid, Michael's boy is grumpy. He meant well but the two old heavens were not something that a person like him could handle"

Jia Jadedragon pinched the group of characters that were smashed to pieces. He then stretched out his other hand to take out the rest of the floating characters.

"It looks like the lower realms are facing some problems this time around. Huh, I think it's my fault"

Jia Jadedragon shook his head while sighing. He stood up with a frown. Behind him, space began to ripple as a slim girl stepped out with her head lowered.

"Renee, gather your strength, and go to the lower realms. Save as much as possible, when the boy left that door, I wanted to be the first to know. I have business to settle with this stupid old man who thinks that they can overthrow me"

Jia Jadedragon took a step forward, the air exploded as his body exploded into a silver mist and disappeared.

"Hmm, I also need to visit that Ging family, to think that they will send someone to kill my son, haha, I must be lazy lately."
