Jetty Beach

'Sometimes we need to be alone, because solitude opens our hearts to digest the meaning of loneliness'

“Lha where?”

Shits. Why was I left, where did Ghifa go? Why do I feel so empty here? Kunthi has really started to harass my position as the place where Ghifa depends. Of course I can't let it.

Kuraih sent a message to Mother, asking Ghifa for a sightseeing trip today. A while I waited, Mom's laugh reply made me feel mocked again.  Luckily before long, Mom wrote somewhere ‘Jetis’ Beach. Bingo!

Immediately I prepared, cleaning up the activities of tidying up the rose branches I just started.  Taking a jacket from navy denim material, just wrapping my old ash t-shirt. And replace my home serandal with a mountain serandal. Then close the side and front porch doors, lastly towards the garage.

In front of the two blacks I was fixated, I finally took my duet wheel and took it out.

[Mom, Gie followed Ghifa, yes] I wrote a message to Mom who is still in school, even though Saturday is not a holiday because it is still 6 working days.

[Yes, Gie .. ] followed by a burst of laughing emotions. I may not have expected this to happen.

Kupacu my black vario slid west, after closing the regol fence. Not to forget I sent a message to Ardi, who knew he had time to follow. Because Saturday was like this, his painting gallery was full of visitors.

The journey to the northwest following the little girl with curls began.

I don't know why I feel jealous about Ghifa and Kunthi's closeness. The girl sliced those bright brown eyes was able to make my heart unsettled. In fact some of Kunthi's stubbornness began to spread to Ghifa. This feeling is different from what I felt, when Ghifa was with Citra. Is it because I don't believe in Kunthi, or …? I honestly have no good reason to forbid their closeness.

Passing through the rice fields that are wide enough at a time when the sun is not so high brings a dime of wind through my open jacket. Until I arrived at the intersection of the road towards Jatimalang Beach with the God of the Rucinya, I took the road crossing to the right following the Daendles road.

Along the airy Daedles road with many types of plants on the right left of the road, I drove my motor at moderate speed.

Although it has the same name as Daendels street, it,  it turns out that this road has its existence much earlier than the daendels line in the north of Java island which is the legacy of a Dutch General who is known to be ruthless by the people of Indonesia.

Interestingly, the southern daendels road was used in the kingdom as the Sewu Urut line. Until then the line was used by Prince Diponegoro to conduct war and defense around Bagelen Purworejo. So that the southern route was once known as Jalan Diponegoro.

After the Diponegoro War, Bagelen was divided into four regions, namely Kebumen, Ambal, Ledok, and Kutoarjo. At that time, around 1883 Ambal area where the Diponegoro Line is headed by an Assistant-resident (a kind of Mayor) named A.D. Daendels with an indigenous Regent named Raden Tumenggung Purbanegara. The name A.D Daendels is then used as a replacement name for the Diponegoro line.

Although A.D. Daendels (1838) as Assistant Resident Ambal on the south coast is younger than Herman Willem Daendels when building the Anyer-Panarukan Post Road, De Grote Postweg in 1808, however, the road is much earlier than the road "Daendels" North.(1)

Only a distance of no more than 3 km from the intersection of the road I crossed earlier, seen the gate on the left of the road that leads to Jetis Beach and Ketawang beach.

I let the Black enter the gate of the coastal area, to find a fairly large parking lot on the left and right side of the building semcam monument inscribed with Jetty Beach which is under the lush sea spruce.

Jetis Beach is a beach on the southern coast of Purworejo area. It is located in the village of Patutrejo, located in the most northwestern subdistrict of the city of Pension, or currently known as the City of Fighters.

This region is also bordered by the Kebumen Regency. This beach is included in the part of Ketawang beach which is known first as a coastal tourist spot in the District of Grabag. The location of this beach is only around 55 Km from Wonosobo Regency and 63 Km from Jogyakarta City.

Formerly this beach is managed by a mining company because of its iron sand content.  After the expiration of its service in 2007, the company reclaimed land at the end of its operational period. The community at that time asked the coastal area to be greened by planting shrimp and coconut fir and the holes of the former mine were flattened.

It turns out that in addition to shrimp fir, in the coastal area of Jetis also planted pine trees. Over time people began to think that the beach could be developed for tourism. Slowly the area was built, several gazebos were erected. Visitors come a little. After that, then the change of ‘extrim’ was made around mid-2016. They think of a unique concept to beautify this beach.

Used idea ‘Taman Umbrella Beach Jetis’. They began to install hundreds of umbrellas on the branches of fir. Make some spots to relax under the lush evergreen forest, children's playground including an artificial swimming pool with fresh water, a selfie spot, a playground for children, huts rest on the beach until some viewing post about six meters high.

Because of the characteristics of the waves of the south coast is famous for its ferocity and great anyway, visitors are encouraged not to swim in the sea. Even so some visitors are still allowed to just make sand toys, as long as a little away from the waves, playing water, and running after the waves.

Instead many gazebos are built on the beach to where visitors enjoy the pounding of sea water.

“Thank you, Mas.” Said the young man who handled the parking, when I refused the change from the value of the parking levy paper written.

I just nodded, putting my helmet on the motorcycle seat. There are not many vehicles parked there. There are only a few two-wheeled vehicles, and 4 cars of which one is Kunthi's black ‘Rubinson’.

“Still quiet, huh Mas?” ask me to end my twisting view.

“Iya Mas, later in the afternoon is usually getting crowded until tomorrow Sunday,” said the tall young man with a tapered face.

“Oh .. “

“Cock, alone? Usually people who come here if not with family yes with their partner you know, Mas.” Kepo the young man while turning his pet hat towards the back.

“Emang ndak can come alone?” my murmur was slightly shunned.

“Hahaha yes can to, Mas. I also keep this parking lot alone, other friends come at most 10 hours later.” Entertain him while holding a smile, perhaps afraid to look insinuating to me again.

“Sometimes alone it's pedaling, Mas.” Entertain me.

“Ah. Who said it, Mas? If you are alone, you are lonely!” his protest did not agree while expressing the laughter he had been detained.

“Ah, it's up to you, then.” Welcome me with a wry laugh as well, while leaving the parking lot.

“Okey Mas, please enjoy Jetty Beach ..” exciting accompanied my step.

I gave him my thumbs before I went further down the row of pines beside the sea spruce, where hundreds of colorful umbrellas were hung all the way in one lane. But I didn't find Ghifa there.

My steps continued, climbing the grass-covered sand dune before heading to the beachfront hinterland on the east side.

Some people were seen playing with the sand and chasing the ripples that stopped, then turned to run when the waves rolled over to them and slowed down on the edge of the beach again. I don't see my little girl, either.

Maybe in the west? Langhku stopped near a roofed hut woven by coconut leaves. Do I need to go up first to the viewing post so that I can sweep through this whole place in search of Ghifa?

But before I did, a surprising soft clap landed on my shoulder.

“Mas Gie, find who?”
