Genesis: The Lucky Blacksmith

Genesis: The Lucky Blacksmith
Inculpation

Riko got out of the dungeon with a grunt. As he expected, everyone greeted Rangga with cheers. No one cared about Riko's arrival. People from the company immediately ran up to the badly injured Rangga while carrying a stretcher and a priest. Rangga is treated like a hero who just returned from the battlefield.

Riko, meanwhile just walked stiffly without being able to take out a word. Huge relief squads flocked into the dungeon to evacuate the other three unconscious players. Riko watched in silence until all the players exited the portal on makeshift stretchers.

Ivan and the Eagle's condition was most terrible. Their hands and feet were bent in an unusual direction. Their heads twisted and drooped as if they were no longer supported by the neck bone. Their entire bodies were covered in blood to the point that they did not look like humans anymore. One of the rescuers hurriedly cupped two white sheets over the two bodies to cover their entire face so that no one could see the terrible condition of the body.

Sontak Riko was stunned to see the officers covering the bodies of Eagle and Ivan with a white cloth. Does that mean they didn't survive?

“Two of the five hunter teams have fallen. One priest was subjected to intense mental stress while the other one was seriously injured. But you look fine, Rik,” a sudden voice greeted Riko.

The young man turned his head and found Tera standing in her green cleaning team uniform. His face looked sour and cynical.

“Tera. Sorry I didn't return your message. As you can see, I was invited into the hunting team,” replied Riko rather awkwardly.

Tera snorted softly. “Yes, I've heard from you. Yesterday you were like an enemy of that child. He was an insider, yes. What it feels like to be a burden on a team of hunters. Said your team almost failed to finish the dungeon because of one useless team member,” sarcastically quoted Tera.

Riko could only gawk in disbelief at the scathing comments made by Tera. Is this the same friendly guy as before? Why did it suddenly become so annoying and blatantly hostile to Riko?

“You're mad at me, Tera? Wh why? Because I didn't get into your team?” sergeant Riko was impatient.

“I don't care about that. I just don't like people who are too ambitious, to the point of not knowing themselves and harming others,” furious Tera provokes.

“You don't know anything, Tera,” hiss Riko while clenching her hands tightly, refraining from exploding furiously.

“I hope you can introspect yourself and not harm others anymore. The two lives that died today are a reminder to you,” closed Tera who then left Riko, followed by eleven members of her cleaning team.

They all stared at Riko coldly, as if Riko was a bad criminal to avoid. Riko could only sigh in disbelief at the sight of the incident. Actually what other slander has been spread Rangga behind his back? Isn't it enough to claim to be a monster boss killer? Now Rangga actually spread false news about him which became a burden on the team and resulted in two players killed.

“Damn it!” pekik Riko was full of emotions.

He feels fooled. Even though he tried, but all the roads felt closed to Riko. Why do all of his decisions always produce bad results?

“Riko Sanjaya?” again the voice of someone greeted Riko with a hostile tone. This time a white-robed woman with both eyes covered in cloth: Rhea.

“Ya?” sahut Riko ketus's.

“Please follow me,” said Rhea who then walked ahead of Riko.

The young man then walked behind the sage through the depths of the Cerme Cave. They walked for about ten minutes until they reached a darker, drier cave room. Riko could not have guessed Rhea's intention of bringing her here alone. Does this sage also intend to kill him?

“I have no intention of killing you, Riko Sanjaya,” said Rhea who then stopped her steps and turned to face Riko.

The young man was surprised because Rhea could read his mind.

“Yes, I can read minds. But this ability is my own secret,” Rhea said again.

Riko scrunched her forehead as her various feelings were mixed. Shocked because his mind was read by a sage, confused because the sage told him an important secret, and wary because it meant the sage might threaten him or something like that.

“I also don't want to threaten you, Riko. I just want to ask for help,” said Rhea still with both eyes closed.

“Please do not read my mind again,” pinta Riko frustrated. It feels uncomfortable to be careful in controlling his own mind.

“You know?”

“Yes. The thought of a player named Rangga Sasmita was heard in my head. I also know why you guys are hiding that fact.”

“So what do you want?” challenge Riko without stale bases.

“Before, I want to see first the ability to forge you. I have to convince you of something,” said Rhea.

“Why should I trust you?” sergeant Riko refused.

“After this case, you may be banned from entering the dungeon as a member of the hunting team. I can help the company not to blame you too much and you can remain a hunter or cleaning player,” bargained Rhea.

“But I don't want to hand over Lycan Knife for people company.”

Rhea gave a small snort because she was amused to hear the expression of Riko's honesty. “You're a real freak, RIko. For the sake of that stuff you are willing to lose your good name. Okay. I'm not going to tell that to anyone. Instead, you might still be considered a level F player saved by Rangga Sasmita.”

“Yes. That's it's okay. The important thing is that I can still enter the dungeon as a hunting team,”, said Riko agreed.

“OK. I'll worry about that. Now, I want you to forge this,” said Rhea while taking out a sparkling golden staff two and a half meters long. The wand floated in the air then flew slowly towards Riko.

Riko caught it swiftly and felt an incredible flow of huge energy.
